  1. And the money you're planing on wasting for pods I'd be putting toward a crank trigger system. They allow you to push the timing so much closer due to not having any fluctuations in the map there fore more power
  2. You have been told about the 350 causewe said it in your build thread countless times before you got your car tuned. If I can push -7s to 24psi without any issue then your -9s will be fine as well
  3. boost doesn't lift heads, cylinder pressure does and 350kw seems to be that magic number as you've been informed a number of times As for upping the boost to see more power, reading a compressor map isn't going to tell you anything. Just crank it and see what it does Changing to pods isn't going to do anything but it's your money do as you will with it
  4. If you use an fg engine you are going to need the sump, oil pick up and dip stick tube from a ba/bf
  5. Obviously never heard one with a good exhaust
  6. Except the ford turbo 6 will spank and ls1/2 engine every day of the week
  7. Cause of the sump positioning you are better off using a ba/bf engine anyway
  8. They're fantastic engines, the rods, oil pumps and valve springs are they're weak point but they are very easy to find upgraded parts that don't break, On 98 with the factory fg xr6 turbo the limit it about 320kw and with the ba/bf and fg f6 turbo you're look at about 390kw add some e85 and of corse they'll happily do more
  9. If your going to buy them new go with the -9, same response and its believed they make a little more power
  10. I had one of those cushion button in my gtst and it was the worst clutch I ever had, the friction point would change as the car warmed up, it felt like it never fully released cause the box felt really notchy and adjusting it didn't help
  11. Response and I'm not after 400kw+
  12. I'd love to swap to -9s to see if there are any gains over the 7s, don't know if I ever will though
  13. ive still got the standard one in mine but we have seen proven gains right through the rev range from changing them
  14. No I live in Sydney, I have a flex sensor in mine just in case I get stuck and can't get e85 but I haven't needed to use it yet
  15. but this is a better idea, my car with the stock engine and -7s makes 348kw on e85 and has fantastic response
  16. Your never going to see full boost at 3500 with -5s it doesn't matter what you do To get the best out of them tho -Big exhaust and dumps (twin 3in into 3.5 minimum) -Cam gears (no cams they send you backwards) -Bigger and better intercooler (not an eBay Chinese special) -E85 (makes a huge difference) *increase your capacity (stroker or etc) *vcam or the otomoto veriable cam system The ones with the - should be on your list no matter what the * are if you can afford it, but a car with the entire list would be a weapon
  17. Yes you can, bring it here and we'll get the stupid thing fitted if need be
  18. Removing the engine to replace turbos on a Gtr is stupid and proves you should have left it to the professionals to begin with
  19. It might clear up by tomorrow
  20. Thought I'd check and a brand new z06 corvette is approximately 110k Aud drive away
  21. always worth the cost
  22. That!!! All of that. With turbo charged cars it what is on the outside of the engine that makes 99% of your power, the most important job of the stuff inside is to stay in one piece
  23. And if that's not enough, bigger turbo
