    Then fitted the timing coversthe center cover is on there temporarily just to see what it looks like cause I still need to wire it to the ecu and run the oil line

    Then got to fitting it to the engine here it is fitted to the engine this comes with the kit and of corse is the reason the kits costs so much lol and with all the sensors and oil cap fitted,

    I then grabbed a die grander with basically a scotch bright pad on it and attacked the powder coat halfway done powder coat gone and then I ran another pad over it to give it a machined look and the finished product

    Today I had some time to play with the car and i continued with the vcam, I didn't like the lettering being covered on the rocker cover and started by taping it up

    Had a couple of hours over the weekend to work on itthe shims had arrived a few days before an i fitted them, checked the clearances were spot on then moved onto the cam gears and timing belt

    Parts are back from ceramic coating i also bought plugs for the original oxygen sensors because I no longer use them and they will just be in the way when installing the turbos

    Did some work on it over the weekend, fist pulled the timing belt off and inlet cam cover off inket cam out and new cam in for clearence measuring 6 of the clearances are out of spec and the shims have been ordered and should hopefully be here in the next couple of days

    Only 6 months ago I was looking at ve ssv utes for a new daily "because I wanted something different", I drove about 6 or so and then I took an fg xr6t for a drive and bought it! Couldn't understand why I had even been looking at the commodore

    Personally I'd take the xr6t/f6 over any Holden v8, they handle better and are a lot nicer to drive even with the live axel. If you have to have the vz v8 then the maloo is your only real option as no one makes a super charger kit for the L76

    There's another brand that rhd is advertising and is only about 450 plus shipping but havnt tried one personally

    I haven't put them side by side yet but it looks really close, that fact he did them before should mean they're fine

    Sent the rocker cover out to craved coatings and got it done to match the rest of them am going to uncover the writing on it due to the candy looking different there compared to the rest

    As Paul has pointed out he front of the cam obviously isn't correct for a normal rb26 cam and here's whyits the cam out of a hks vcam kit and it's also the reason for needing the ecu change
