  8. Pretty typical failure for a standard RB turbo. I have a RB20 turbo sitting in the shed at home with the exact same failure. Bit of boost and over time they can just let go. Its nearly 20 years old remember. Id say for response something like an internally gated garrett turbine would be the go. I love my TD06 but if you want around 200rwkw there are more responsive turbo's for less money than a trust kit

  12. It was not a 3076 or 71, it was the 3082, and I never used it. The guy who bought it reckons his ecu he was using could not handle it......(strange for an aftermarket ecu , you are correct that something was holding it back however; my finger points at tune)

  14. I had a GT30 0.63 sitting there for my 20. Sold it and purchased a Trust TD06L2. The guy who purchased the GT30 put it on a 20, made 240rwkw on 20psi. I make 277rwkw on 18psi with heaps left in the thing.

Bump to an old thread: I am looking at a set of these from HKS IN 264 9.0 P/N: 2202-RN174 EX 256 8.8 P/N: 2202-RN171 OR EX 264 9.0 P/N: 2202-RN175 The pair of 264's with my TD06-L2 I think would be a winner. I just want to fatten the power curve I have to get boost on a tiny bit earlier and fatten up the power curve from around 4,200 to 5K, after the L2 takes care of things, however the cams I suspect will also half bring up the power from the time they "kick in" so to speak to redline. However I am unsure if I should do cam gears at the same time? OR Is it worth doing gears then cams later on? I would rather do it all in one hit, but for sake of R&D maybe just gears? (I have a set sitting at my other work calling my name) Thoughts... Cheers -Jez

  21. Much of a muchness from what I have seen in cars that I have driven / been a passenger in, and around etc I went splitfires because I am vein and wanted blue coils to match my blue engine covers nothing wrong with DSI.
