  1. I may not be coming either guys - wound some boost today and wiped out the whole passenger side suspension assembly (control arms, hub (bent), radius arms) on a gutter. If i can get up and running before friday ill be there!!
  2. Lucky bastard - wish i couldve had one when i was on my P's Yeah dude, fantastic car. Nothing too flash just a great RWD, turbo Coupe with plenty of tuning ability and a fair bit of street cred. Get one with a sunroof - honestly the best feature of my car They come fully loaded with power windows/mirrors, rear wiper, climate control air-con. The majority come with aftermarket filter, possibly Momo steering wheel and knob like mine did and often a big bore exhaust. Try and get one with full bodykit aswell. Brakes are good but no ABS. HICAS is std issue but is not a reason to buy the car - if anything it makes the car worse. Expect moderate-heavy fuel consumption i find 350km to a tank max. Resale value seems a tad stronger than equivalent R33 but both are good. Hope this helps!! Goodluck!!
  3. Guys - sounds like a top idea - count me in!!!! Almost saw 2F2F today but didnt... just aswell... I might have my carbon-rice-fibre bonnet by then too hahaha
  4. I paid $1595 for my 600x300x70 'cooler made by Mick's Metalcraft. They've done many of the Horsepower Heros cars at Summernats. Ive been impressed with it so far (i havent wound any boost yet). Install it yourself - you learn a tonne about ya car while doing it. Unique Autosports sell them.... www.nismo.com.au
  5. 7' in car TV screen - fold out type Not picky on brand as long as it isnt a budget brand...
  6. FLIP - it's definitely worth doing yourself if you're squeezed for cash - im a student so there wasnt the option of paying someone to do it. I know 3/5ths of f@ck all about the mechanical side of things but managed to sort it out and id recommend it to anyone. Id never do it again tho - 12hrs it took hehe and ive still got front bar rubbing on pipework issues... Goodluck!!!
  7. Im after the paint code for a BLACK (stock colour- metallic) 1992 R32 GTST.... I know my car should have it on the plate but it's illegible so any help would be great thanks....
  8. yeah it's been out there for a good 3 months.... 0-60mph = 7.0s EVO magazine got 6.9s WHEELS today released 0-100km/h in 7.3s and 15.3s for 400m not bad times but $37,000?? Bit steep another $6k will get you an XR6T or an R32 GTR... hmmm
  9. Yeah definitely a good thing for the Australian car industry. I think Aussie cars are bad-mouthed a bit too much. We are a country of only 19million so i think we do well for ourselves. The XR6T is a quality machine - 240kw/450Nm stock. $2200 for a hi-flow cat and chip ups the ante to 295Kw/550Nm (from memory) through APS that equates to 0-100km/h in 5.39s and 13.6s for the 400m sprint. No bad for a 1700kg machine. Australians have proved over the years they know how to tune Turbo cars with awesome results * The Sammit Brothers (300ZX from early 90s) * Gibson Motorsport (R32 GTR, Bathurst etc) * PAC Performance (7.66s Rotary) etc
  10. "rb20det, is missing" - sh!t man thieves will take anything these days!!! sorry couldnt help myself.....haha I have a similar problem (missing) at the moment too - always misses on the 3rd to 4th gearchange -at the same point on the same road everytime - bizarre..... good luck with the problem
  11. I sent you a PM - White R32....
  12. Im interested... what colour is it currently? My comp screen is f@cked at the moment?
  13. As you can see from this pic the damage doesnt carry through to the otherside of the pods - i.e. the damage is not too bad. Most of the damage is just to the surface... a sand and some filler will make them scrub up perfectly.
  14. Guys i have some rear pods for an R32 for sale. They're damaged but repairable. They're blue and will need to be repainted. All damage apart from one crack which is along the crease line is out of sight. Ill pay for postage. ___________________________________ On a separate note - if anyone is interested in a 100% condition pair i may be selling a pair or possibly 2 in the next week.
  15. Either - not too fussed.... thx for the reply.....
  16. Man i was just waiting on the pics to load while i read your thread... That thing is da BOM!! Bring on 2004 i say... i just cant go 7mths without a car......
  17. deleted by request of HSVKLR - PranK
  18. Dont wanna sound like a know-all but that pic aint of a GT2... I know they look like intercoolers at the front of the car (possibly oil coolers) but correct me if im wrong but isnt the intercooler/s on Turbo Porsches located either: a) just infront of the wing on the bootlid so to speak. So bacially almost in "top-mount" location - so that as the air follows the roofline of the car it sweeps down into the 'cooler. or B) as in the 959 of 1989, located either side of the engine down low - hence what the ducts at the lower part of the rear skirts on a 911 Turbo/GT2 are for....???
  19. Cheers Inark, that would be sweet!!! Just find out how much it would cost and let us know - like you say there are tonnes of ppl on here that want a set - they sell like that whenever they come up for sale...
  20. Thanks dAVE, QLD is ok, i dont mind.... yeah keep us posted thanks... same goes for anyone else wanting to sell!!
  21. It's been all of 2 months since i posted this so i thort id re-advertise.... Anyone selling???
  22. Inark, man im desperate for rear quarter panel pods. Ive posted numerous threads looking for some... Please, if you find any can you also help me out?? I know White R32 asked but i am desperate... sorry to but in on the post....
  23. Know of anyone who sells replica ones new? And more than one at that? Cos im desperate for one too - the one off Japanese Motorsport looked a bit average....
  24. I got quoted $6800 for my R32 GTST by Just Car Insurance. I was 19 at the time. I think a GTR would be way more expensive. A non turbo R32 GTS was $4500 for example..... As for using ya dad's name they dont do it - it's whoever the youngest driver is.... Goodluck mate - my advice- get a pager alarm (satellite tracking or something) and a Club Click It lock and keep an eye on ya baby at all times... You're going to battle to get cheap insurance
  25. Look dont get me wrong i didnt start this thread to bash Holdens - as much as i dont like them i was purely stating that the majority of arrogance that i have seen on the roads in my area have come from Holden drivers. Just my observation. I couldve posted something about Camry drivers who we all know are generally not the greatest but thats just stating the obvious. I agree all car brands have produced good and bad cars and as much as i hate Holdens i think the Brock Commodores of the '80s was some of their best work. Sure as hell beats the shit out of the hat-full-of arses-ugly Y-Series HSV cars.... I think this thread should be closed now - too much conflict!!! As long as you like your own car, and your attitude doesnt suck on the road (the reason i intro-ed this thread) all is good.....
