  1. Did you test it out by ripping a big skid in the shed? I would have lol
  2. Probably worse for your engine than a straight hard ignition cut. None of them are particularly kind, hard cut will break oil pumps in RB's and mega ignition retard will burn shit
  3. Some sort of premium unleaded. Was the only choice I had where I was. Only had the car a week and a bit lol
  4. Not since I have owned the car Though I did fill up with caltex gold about a week ago. Not sure if that is relevant though
  5. Basic explanation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antilag_system
  6. Is that due to Lambo wanting some huge $$$ for replacement ones?
  7. I'll be there in support lol
  8. It is nothing like anti-lag Unless it somehow magically works by the shwartz when you change gear or get off the throttle
  9. What if it is Eddie Vedder singing Even flow?
  10. There are a few Group A and group N GTR's amongst these pics, Plus LM Editions and a heap of other cool race cars http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2079707
  11. oil looks brand new (it is only 400ks old though), and no water usage (that I can tell)
  12. Weird that it was only two! I would be sendig the squirters off to be tested ASAP but hey least you didnt pull your plugs out to find the biggest mystery since the Orient Express. 3 days ago these plugs were oily. today...rust?!?!?! lol....I think
  13. http://www.frozenboost.com/index.php?cPath=219&osCsid=63057139f345be90f4d8faf3da45b559 not the best, but maybe what you are after
  14. So the plot thickens..... These are the same plugs that were a little oily the other day...cleaned them up and put them back in. Pulled them out again today... looks a lot like rust to me compare these to one from the Soarer The orange plugs are BRK6EP's cyl 1 on the left and 6 on the right the plug from the soarer is a BKR6E found my little high power torch so had a look down the plug holes, piston crowns are dry, and also have a slight brown/orange tinge, No sign of any oil in #5, they all match evenly. So I am thinking that Duncan is correct in saying that it is a turbo seal, Causing my smokey exhaust Doesnt explain the lack of comp in #5, but I may have muffed the test, there was a bit of crap around the #5 plug hole that may have caused the tester to leak The car doesnt seem to use any water, but I havent owned it long enough to say for sure, the oil is about 400ks old and looks brand new, so I think that if it was rings the oil would be a lot darker ???? Any more ideas
  15. not as bad as I thought it would be. New motor or fix this one?
  16. But what a successful bucket they were!
  17. Mine broke after 3-4 years with an OS Giken comp twin plate, but it looked like it had worked itself loose, which caused it to snap the thread. Either way $60 at Autobarn for a Nismo one was good insurance.
  18. or they could spend that month driving the car to work instead of it sitting in the driveway waiting for 11ty custom bits to be made
  19. You forgot the only remaining MA71 group A Supra...and it is in AUS!!!!! lol I have wanted a Sierra since I was about 12 years old One day if I stop buying all these other cars I will have one
  20. NO! I am saying that WOT means very little on a street car, a car that can make +ve inlet pressure at 20% throttle and 3000rpm is better than a car that needs 50% throttle to make +ve inlet pressure at 3000rpm etc
  21. Of course it is the faster car...just have a look a the 3e production race results for the last few years Its Evo IX and X up front, followed by the HSV's then everything else 90% of the time, Duncan's car is well sorted and is quick (its an N1 btw) Mid corner speed he is a bit quicker and corner exit out of tight corners having 4wd helps. But are you guys that Naive to think that the current commodores can't be punted round a track rather quickly?
  22. Lambo shafts are pr0n!!! Did you get a chance to have a look at my pm?
  23. What is transient/part throttle response like though, not everyone spends all day at WOT, I would bet my left nut the 2835 poo's all over the Hypergear stuff at normal street loads and rpm
