  1. 26 cams in the 25 head won't work unless they are re-profiled to suit the hydraulic lifters. Also cams and lifters wear together running 20 year old cams from 1 engine with worn lifters from another can end in tears. Use a 26 or 30 head gasket Use a balancer to suit you car / ps pump / alternator All twin cam RBs use the same cam belt idler pullies. So just buy the belt that suits and 2 new idler / tensioners And don't forget a new stud and bolt for them

  13. Haha yes. I think that too lol Problem being that most of my previous projects have been expensive and needed a lot of work or been unreliable This one I picked up for 4k has semi decent suspension, nice lightweight enkei wheels and being the R model has bigger sway bars and a torsen LSD and recaros from factory. Only major hurdle is that has a built auto with 2800 stall But should be able to sell it for the same money a 5 speed goes for. So will just be up for a clutch and a pedal box which are fairly cheap. Will never be quick (neither will I for that matter) but should be reliable and a bit of fun which is all I want I did seriously think about an S13 or a cheap skyline But I have always had a soft spot for the a70's (and pop up lights lol) Will add a couple of pics when I jump on the computer
  14. Haha the motor and suspension will be left alone A cage is just 1 thing lol
  15. As an anchor for the start line vessel? Lol
  16. ABS is just going to throw the car off balance on corner entry, and when you are shooting for the fastest possible single lap the last thing you would want is the car trying to shake itself to pieces as you are trying to tip it into a corner. ABS also increases stopping distance in my experience, as you have gone for too much pedal and the ABS isn't giving you the full brake force. My opinion is if the ABS is going off in the dry than you have crap tyres or you are just stomping on the pedal with all your might In summary - ABS is great for enduro cars or targa cars that need to run on the same tyre for long periods, for SuperLap/sprints etc it is just adding weight.
