Trust me I tried you may be able to fit it where the stock airbox goes, but you will have no room for an air filter/ intake pipe I also tried that

I tend to agree, Most Cam/Spring/exhaust LS1's I have seen make 280-290 and depending what cam are lopey as hell L98's have much better heads though (bigger ports and valves than an LS2) So 300+ isnt out of the question imo

Fouled plugs can cause coils to overheat and die Swap the plug for another and see if it misses on the different cylinder
