Happens to me a fair bit in the NA section and the GA section, I think from memory I made a thread about it in here quite a while back, Only recently started happening again

I think everyone has been there with an Import lol my 33 blew up 2 weeks after I bought it

Lots of boost is meaningless, it is combustion chamber pressures that matter If you were shooting for 1000hp than it is a bit of extra insurance

AWD and Heavier, so it chews tyres faster, chews brakes faster etc etc Everything needs to be bigger/better on a GTR

I bet it has an atmo' BOV, which is causing the stalling issue's But need more info, for all we know it is a Stroker RB30 with a GT42 Turbo being run off a Standard ECU

Are you going to deck the block as well? Why would it be more reliable? any knock is going to destroy the standard pistons before it blows a head gasket

Just use a standard gasket, proven to well over 400kws and only $60 Standard Bore is 86mm

This is true,, I'm more thinking along the lines of, the -5's make over 400rwks, will the larger 63mm GTX versions be able to make a meaningful amount more again. If it is 10kw's then it would hardly be worth it I do think these would go well on an SR/CA etc, would be a good in between setup for those who want more than a 2860, but don't want the lag of a 2871

I have to agree with you Ben Only real choice is buy one and under go a full resto 20 year old attessa will need a rebuild. And we all know what rb26s are like So buy a cheap one strip it down to its birthday suit and you will find so much stuff that needs replacing. My 33 gtst was bad enough. Stripped it and was shocked at how bad everything was under the skin. If I were going to buy one I would factor in a full driveline/engine rebuild and 10k worth of body work Which as Ben said is 34 R money But it would be good as new and awesome!

I went down to adaminaby and cooma the other day. Took the dirt track on the way there lol It is a good run but too many idiot farmers in beat up utes doing 75 in single lane sections and 130 in the overtaking sections
