  1. that would depend on how big the share portfolio is lol I do agree. Hell I just went and bought a cheap car to play with because it is more fun, and not so scared about scratching it. But dont ever turn into one of those people you see at car shows with a 50k paint job and a shiny engine bay, but their kids have no shoes and torn track pants that are too small
  2. Holden haven't used the 305 chev for years now The Holden teams had a cry when the ford guys started using canted valve Yates heads So the hms (Holden motor sport) engines were born Like I said pretty much the same as a d3 headed ford. About the only difference is the engine mount location and exhaust manifold flange pattern
  3. Both engines are built in aus. The hms engine is pretty much a copy of the ford etc etc Yes they are great cars.
  4. Of course it will go crazy it only reads 14.7:1 and nothing else
  5. Well 2 of the choices will involve larger cams, 5000-8500 is huge cams
  6. lol at the Andra dude (aus rotary link) and their backwards ways...oh noez a modern car has crumple zones who wouldve thought a car was designed to minimize force applied to the driver. I cant see Willowbank giving that Press release if it was still in doubt. Edit - some of them may be right and it the track stewards way of giving the big f**koffski to Andra Very few of the Pro guys want to run under Andra anymore, and a lot of the top-door slammer guys are now running teh 1/8 mile (in their Door cars lol)
  7. This x 100 plus, any thing regarding manifold design for Atmo engines, tear it up and burn it, because it means precisely shit in a forced induction application. Providing everything flows well enough not to restrict airflow than runner length wont affect power, just response. ie a long runner intake will get the engine breathing heavier at low revs, hence getting the turbo on song sooner. Which unless you are purely doing it for looks the standard plenum is the way to go. iirc you are going for a GT30 or T67, not big enough in my books to warrant spending shit loads of money on a fancy plenum, if you want every possible ounce of power out of the turbo than yes custom plenum with ram tubes and centre feed large volume plenum etc etc + lots of head work + custom cams + f**king about with injector placement. you are obviously capable of some decent fab skills, why not try a Greddy plenum and make up some spacers to play with the runner lengths?
  8. the A/F gauge......chuck it in the bin...all it does is tell you your o2 sensor is working
  9. mathematics for runner length and plenum volume yes, but that wont tell you if the distribution is even. By getting it flow tested, how many prototypes are you going to make and test before it is right? (you will need to test on the dyno too) I learnt a long time ago to leave all that stuff to the companies that pour $$$$$$$$$$$ into R&D on these things
  10. Dailey Engineering nice!
  11. you forgot the XA and XB GT hardtops You also know, that the Group A skylines had bugger all in common with the road cars too right?
  12. Zeee times, they are a changin' http://www.showticksecure.com/willowbank/VenueNet/_uploads/FCKeditor/file/pdfs/2011%202012%20season%20info/2011%20-%20NEW%20STREET%20REGULATIONS_Final_291111.pdf Hopefully WSID follows and I will keep the auto in the Supra, slap a big bastard turbo on and run low 10's on the weekend
  13. So you want a small plenum with the standard runners? Use the standard plenum and there is more than just mathematics behind it...do you have access to fluid dynamics software etc?
  14. Sweet, hopefully WSID follows suit. so any Monocoque cars can run 10.5 instead of 10.99 and all the Supra will need is a half cage (easy) and a harness (I have one on the garage) if I want to run between 10.00 and 10.5 Edit - Might keep the auto after all providing WSID comes to the party
  15. or you're retarded?
  16. They are good mufflers would sound better than any of the cheap shit ones
  17. Yeah would be a leak some where, and as the car cools off it will suck in air. Is the overflow tank full?
  18. LOL He/She better be ripping skidz by 18months old
  19. Capella = fknwin!!!!
  20. Geez everyone is having kids. Congrats Pete and Jenna. Now Prue will really be bugging me for one
  21. It would want to make 1000hp with those wheels in the turbos. It wont though. Turbine housing will choke it, just like the HKS GTR spec GT2835s
  22. What do you need a crank for?
