  1. as stated its probably your exhaust knocking on something. Ive had it happen to me. jiggle your exhaust with a bit of force up and down left to right to find where its knocking.
  2. yeah sounds like your afm not connected properly. ive done that before, not completely in
  3. wish i had that feature...thats pretty cool.
  4. lol at propeller shaft drive shaft maybe? just visit the forums regularly, do a lot of reading and you'll get up to pace in no time. then it will be your turn to laugh at other newbies.
  5. its a safety feature when you go over 20km or something. im pretty sure thats what it is. i think its a matter of cutting some wires. mine doesnt have it but im sure someone has done it before...ive seen a few threads in the past. do a search maybe
  6. yeah you might as well since you just recieved the car and not sure about service history
  7. recon your underbelly would catch fire or something if you say gave it some down the street? man id love to see the clip, would be a whole new RB experience.
  8. lol...id be over the moon if they last a few yr. ill just replace em with another one. good to know that its only simple job if they do die in the ass.
  9. more impoartanly how are they during the day? ive seen tinted but urs are super tinted
  10. im sure you could if you know waht your doing? is it worth the effort though?
  11. can you replicate the spacer? make your own?
  12. most if not all are adjustable? there should be these hex bolts that stick out say 1.5-2cm that you tighten and losen to adjust. ones for up and down an the other is for inwards and outward. park it infront of a wall with lights on to adjust and you will see which does what. well thats how mine work.
  13. i didnt want to sound like a smart arse and point out the obvious. if you actually have a look around like i suggested you can take em out with out unbolting anything. you just need to be able to grasp the bulb housing with the tip of yoru fingers and quarter turn CCW, lefty loosy. just trying to make it easier for ya. if you lived down the street id even do it for ya...lol
  14. great write up....saved me thinking. heres a pick to contribute to the thread. i lacka-banded mine so it still keeps some gyroscopic functionality..lol
  15. ah...i was gonna post up a "how the heck do i remove those bolts". thanks for the link, makes it all the more easier. they should sticky that shiz, eventhough i didnt bother looking there first...lol
  16. I think theyre worth something if its a good kit but i wouldnt pay a pretty penny for em. Mines home made though some of the connections are falling appart but thats just poor workmanship...lol
  17. you could always ride a bike start writing a text and stack into it...would make a good youtube vid
  18. would a kswitch from the fuel pump be a good idea? also what guage wire should i be using? bigger the better yeah? anymore info on that magnet relay? sounds pretty cool
  19. you can jump start it.....just dont do it every morning to get to work.
  20. follow your headlight. it is inside a hole behind the parkers. you kno what just take yoru water bottle out and you will see. it will make it easier to get to. same for the other side which is easier to get to. if you know what your doing you dont need to take anything out.
  21. theres a car park near my place that has a new cop shop directly oposite it, youd have to be real desperate to try something then. i guess it pays to be cautious...do a drive by first maybe if your sus..lol cant do much against a gun though.
  22. was it a hard stack? i ask cause im after the seatbelt guides that pivot to help yuou reach your seatbelts. do you have those? whats the colour?
  23. if you maintain it and replace parts properly the first time you can almost keep in as new condition but yeah everything gets old, you cant fight time itself. Its a personal judgment, if your over it move on but the time will come when the new car will start to get old too. I guess its a test to see how much you love your car...lol Maybe ive been lucky with my car and in the 8 yrs ive had it the only major thing to die was power window motor and the battery. the 100k service replaced alot of what needed to be replaced including exhaust manifold studs and the clutch. I get a good feeling fixing things that i can fix on my car, kinda makes it just a bit newer in my mind..ha I guess the one think that makes me feel the car is old is seeing so many of them on the road and how cheap they are compared to 8 yrs ago.
  24. as long as your revs arent too low to strain the engine i dont see a problem. you must be pickin it up abit if your going from 2-5
  25. my blackie is looking a tad dull. a hundie is pretty good for all that...you sure hes not taking it to car lovers?..lol nah, might have to check him out.
