  1. The afm was not designed to be fitted in a pressurised environment, besides that I don't know why you would want to... Some people supposedly do it to stop stalling after they block off/fit atmo bov or they want to fit a gulping big 6" intake pipe thats not needed.
  2. SOLD! Bee*R rev-limiter great little unit… works well to annoy the neighborhood. I’ve had this wired up as a basic anti-lag system and as the primary rev-limiter. Still in as new condition. Paid $500 or something like that before they were so popular so yeah my loss… Any questions PM me. Price: $250 posted anywhere in Aus Located: Toowoomba, QLD. Can do pick-up if you live close Reason for selling: Need cash for rb30det project
  3. Make sure to use plenty of electrical tape though
  4. If you haven't got litres of oil in your catch can you don't really need the restrictors, just over fill the sump a bit to ensure a good supply of oil. People have spoken of the n1 pump being brittle and more prone to damage by bad harmonics, so the n1 would probably break before the rb30 pump. A few people on this forum run rb30, rb25 without a crank collar, I think the rb30 pump will be fine for 7000rpm or maybe just put an rb25 one in, due to it having less age on it.
  5. Try grabbing the actuator rod with pliers and pulling towards the front of the car, sometimes the actuator can loose a bit of tension and make a similar noise. Also check everything first because the last thing you want to do is go to all the effort of taking the turbo off to find the gasket is not the problem.
  6. Resonator/muffler or move to qld Is the noise more rattling or what? have tried to replicate the sound at idle with bonnet up to see where the noise might be coming from? Could be a number of things leaking gasket, loose nut/bolt, wastegate not firm up against the housing, contact between heat shield and dump pipe etc.

  9. $300 is a rip off, $100 is more reasonable as it only takes an hour to do. Shop around get a few prices.
  10. I'll be buying a 2008 gt-r... in the year 2018.
  11. Awesome story... Needed space invaders and Tim Allen.
  12. Don't know whether anyone has quoted this yet but straight from Garrett FTW
  13. GT-R, you'll never recover the money you put into the GT-T and by the sounds of it you want a GT-R so you'll never really be happy with the GT-T...
  14. Looking real nice now carter, too bad it's not on the road any more... Got any vids of cef in action?
  15. lol Asian drivers once again for filing there stereotype
  16. Just another thing to go wrong... Better off with out it. I'd say it would just channel water, dust and crap into your nicely oiled filter and give you no noticeable performance gains. Why not just use the standard snorkel to get some cool air in there.
  17. r33 gts-t or r34gtt 4door both modern, nice driving, responsive around town and return reasonable fuel economy.
  18. Dyno results are more conclusive than your opinion. It's not that the fmic would be gaining you power it's the stock r32 intercooler is too restrictive. I'm sure on a stock r32 like this no intercooler fitted would perform better than big fmic kit. Good thread r34 smic on r32 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...fmic+lost+power
  19. I think it's reasonable since it's an Australian delivered GT-R. Stop it getting in the hands of some wannabe street racer who's first modifications would probably be pod filters and a bleed valve. The wheels are about the only thing that lets it down a bit... Simmons
  20. The 'performance increase' your talking about is just the lag as it takes longer for boost to build up but when boost comes on it feels as if it makes more power. 600x300x76 is unnecessary for under 220rwkW. There's been previous threads where people have complained after putting a fmic and getting their car on the dyno only to find it was making less power then before.
  21. lolz at 'rb20 transmission with my rb26dett'. Sounds like your probably from the US, why not stick to something easy and commonly done like the sr20det conversion.
  22. That's the stupid part importing them is hardly ever cheaper than a local find these days, why don't people wise up. At least if the car's already in the country you can check it out, look for any suspect repairs and test how it drives. Importers are out there to make money, the average car seller is just looking to get into another car and just wants fair price usually well under importers...
  23. Very unfortunate, but still lucky your alive 70km/h into a tree... You wouldn't have eBay castor rods on your car by any chance?
