  1. *cough* theft target Cops can defect you on anything if they see it as unsafe or not roadworthy.
  2. Possibly the ugliest car holden has made to date.
  3. Most cars have them just ensures the blow by is vented from the crank case (positive crankcase vent valve). Could just be that you overfilled the sump besides that I agree with excessive blow by, maybe get a compression test done.
  4. It's gonna be 'the first air control valve' located underneath the intake manifold and has hoses running off it up to the aac valve. They get stuck open in the one position allowing a vacuum leak to upset the idle. I'm having the same problem at the moment funnily enough after blowing an intercooler pipe off. A part time solution for me was too block off the this valve, although it makes the car run a bit rich at idle, you just have to adjust the screw on the aac valve until it revs happily. I'm looking for a replacement one but they're not the most common thing to come across. If you want to test my theory get some long nose pliers and block the front hose that goes from facv to aac.
  5. yeh, probably just a tune will fix the idle issue. My car acted similar when I put the new pump in.
  6. or maybe the pcv valve is blocked.
  7. haha, you copied that from turbosmart, ah you know the company who makes BOV's. bias much!?!? what's wrong with stock BOV... http://www.turbosmart.com.au/index.php?s=faq
  8. 230rwkW is pretty decent out the standard hiflow, sounds like your standard actuator is struggling to hold the boost and the gizzmo ebc can't bleed off enough pressure. Maybe run an MBC inline before the ebc to reduce the work for your ebc.
  9. rb26 manifolds sell for like $80 a pair. To get a professional boilermaker to weld on the rb25 flange neatly would cost no more then $150. Plenty of benefits over custom fab i.e. cost, stock positioning, proven excellent flow, no chance of cracking.
  10. With the stock turbo, the r34 smic is best option. 211rwkW is pretty decent for the mods you have and fmic will just add lag, wait until you do the turbo. Take note of what Rekin has said and posted, he's the only one with supporting results.
  11. buy rb26 manifolds and weld them onto an rb25 exhaust flange. Probably the easiest way to get around it.
  12. So what have done for a dump pipe? do you just have a screamer off the wastegate or is it plumbed back in?
  13. Repco can get them in their 'cheap shit' range. I think the brand maybe powerbuilt or ABW one's supposed to be better can't remember though.
  14. It looks alright, but 'some' cops aren't stupid. One tweak of the throttle cable and they'll hear the BOV go off in the guard. So you'll probably need a block off solenoid running to the vac line for atmo BOV so you can disable it in cabin. Won't give you any performance gains, I don't see the point.
  15. Sending in false stories to ACA would be the wrong thing to do... But if you feel the need... http://aca.ninemsn.com.au/feedback/default.aspx?formid=228
  16. lmao, I love your work.
  17. If it was 666dan's tiptronic r34 I'd choose that, such a nice car. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t1...l&hl=666dan "edit" just read the sedan bit, yeah I'd go the 33 unless you were planning on having children some time soon.
  18. Remove the BOV than you can't be defected for having one
  19. Just wondering metal or ceramic?
  20. It's adjustable, base boost is around 10psi and goes up to about 20psi.
  21. Item: HKS adjustable wastegate actuator Age: Had it on the car for about 5 months, bought from slide for $185 Condition: Great, has a few scratches from where I used pliers to pull the wastegate rod onto the wastegate tab. Price: Asking $105 posted to QLD, NSW. Other states $110 posted To Fit: (What car) Suits r32, r33, r34 gts-t Location: Toowoomba QLD Contact: PM me or reply in this thread Comments: Excellent for adjusting boost without the need for a boost controller. Holds boost very well, no spiking, no dropping off. Only selling to help pay for some fines and returning my car to stock.
  22. No, panel filters quieten down the intake a fair bit.
  23. It's not like it's a hard engine to get a hold of, neither is it rare or regarded as a powerful engine. Besides that a v8 in a skyline... it's been done many times before, not really original and will end costing you more than putting an rb25 in it, due to all the custom fabrication required.
