  1. Screamer's are illegal in QLD it's just that most cops here are not car wise and wouldn't have a clue what one was. It's coming though, cops are getting trained to identify things like this. At the moment as long as you don't have a BOV placed visibly under the bonnet your generally right, you can have whatever you want.
  2. $10 says the rattle is the wastegate. Tell him bend the actuator rod so the wastegate is flat up against the housing.
  3. pfffft, stock one is fine. BOV's are actuated by vacuum, so they don't open until there is a vacuum created i.e. when the throttle body is closed. The only reason for an upgraded BOV is if the stock BOV is not venting enough air at once causing compressor surge.
  4. My thoughts exactly.
  5. No, I think you should consider restructuring your sentence.
  6. yep, serves no purpose if you have any form of after market boost controller fitted

  8. Has anyone been done for hooning? if so what happens penalty wise i.e. does your car get impounded, do you get a fine, are there a set amount of points you loose or is it dependent on the offense?

    Help!

Pretty stupid laws, moto's don't even have one on the front.
  10. Double check the fuses each on each side, besides that, stating the obvious I think the PFC maybe gone. Try putting your standard ecu in after that and take the pfc to an electrician might be able to spot something suspect.
  11. I'm there!
  12. MTQ Toowoomba is known to have a lazy dyno. Besides that, what Mafia says more ignition timing. Also maybe the fuel pump is on the way out with afr's tapering up like like that. You can get a multimeter, battery and fan then measure voltage with no fan and you should get no voltage reading or very little and try with the fan blowing through it the and the voltage should substantially increase. If you live in town I can give you my standard afm, I know it works .
  13. Not worth it and not really possible. The neo head is great how it is, porting and polishing is usually left big HP application and N/A's where flow is important. I'd buy the motor and sell the head an the forums, you could get at lest $200 for it, as it's the best option for an r32 rb30 conversion.
  14. Apologies to Alicia , sounds like you have done it pretty tough in the past. Congrats on the purchase of the GT-R, I can only hope to own one.
  15. Not being jealous or anything but I hope she writes it off... Nah she probably deserves it working a hard life till the age of 21 and all.
  16. Yep everything will stay the same.
  17. RB30 with 25de head would be the most feasible way making power without excessive amounts of work and extra parts. This option you can build the motor on the side and keep on driving your car right up until it's ready to go in. The rb30 bottom ends are fairly hardy so you may be able to get away with just new rings, bearing, water pump etc. just small inexpensive stuff. The only problem with the rb30 conversion is the need for a stronger gearbox, which would probably be needed with a rb25 anyway. A New turbo will also be needed, so I suppose that's another cost to take into consideration.

    Help!

I'd just go into the police station and explain your situation. Be polite and act friendly towards them, show them some evidence of claim and they might let you go without a fine.
  19. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying it harder with an 040 I know this because I got one in my car.
  20. No model specifics, all the same. You do realise they're nearly twice the diameter of the stock pump and painful to mount. I'd say just get one of the walbro pumps of slide's, much easier to install, smaller than standard!
  21. put it on a commodore forum should sell quick there.
  22. Take a picture of how you've installed it.
  23. probably different signal or something. try it though, nothing to lose.
