  1. Monopod and both lens sold. Tripod, CF cards and one sensor cleaning kit still remains.
  2. I've already got a buyer for that @ $400. I'll let you know tonight if he's backed out or if it's sold.
  3. Its done about 10000 actuations. At the price with all that gear I'm pretty firm on that price.
  4. Still suffering from sbs...
  5. I'm still around. Just in ninja mode! I'm hankering for some track action but no car anymore. Hopefully I'll be on 2 wheels in 2010 and get my track day fix. Warning to anyone thinking about going to the track. It's addictive. The only cure for it is more track days.
  6. When - 2001/2002?!?! Where - Eastern Creek With who - Motoconcept gang... fatz, marjanal, bonkers etc... Any pre-setup involved - none Favourite memory of the day - using blinkers when cornering Things you learnt; about your car, yourself or the track - Power is nothing, balls is everything.
  7. Hey guys, Times have come and gone and since I'm no longer shooting I figured some people here might have some use for this gear. If someone is keen I'll let it all go for $1700 but I will separate some parts as listed below. 8. They can have all the character they want... I'll keep the trophies.
  9. Clarkson commentating would be funny. He'd rip into any yank that's out there and make fun of the german's when they spin out. NIEN! NIEN! NIEN! Zat iz notz how you drivez!
  10. Do I get to drive it from time to time? Paul Stoddard use to take the Mindardi's out for a blast every now and then.
  11. What he said about the skylines is nothing but the truth. Crap is if he were lying. R32's with crossed drilled rotors are known to crack when heated and cooled too quickly. R33's have a 3rd gear syncro that wears out pretty quickly. Every car has flaws and the GTR's are no different. The difference is weather their minor or major.
  12. I'm probably glad they're getting it. Every yank I spoke to in the US that knew what a GTR was would have this idea that it was an indestructible car that terrorised the world with an iron claw or something. Sure I loved my old GTR but no way I'd look at it in the same light as a Porsche.
  13. Maybe because nobody has imported some R35 to be crash tested there nobody can comply them yet.
  14. I know a few law grads. PM me the job details.
  15. Do you do blue slips?
  16. Boy seeing you bring back memories of the motoconcept days at EC!!! Yeah that would be excellent if you keep me informed. I'm going to go tomorrow morning and talk to the RTA people and see if they can let me slip by. Everything's done and all I need to do is just pay the rego. I paid $31 for pink today... so $50 for blue would sound like a bargin by the sounds of what they do. Are there only certain places where they do blue slips? Because where I got my pink slip done, the bloke said they don't do it there. I'm guessing because they need some engineer to pick through the whole car or so...
  17. How much and what's involved with a blue slip? The MR2 has just passed the 3 months expiry date. Going through the threads, some engineers can be real picky about things where as others are more relaxed about things. BTW... free tip... there are two Bridgestone RE070's... virtually brand new at 7 Day tyres and Wheels in Granville on Parramatta Rd. Size is 235/40/18 @ $135 each. I know because I brought the other pair. The guy will probably start at $150 each but just talk him down. Cheers.
  18. When your mate goes to court, before he sits down, get the attention of the idiots and motion to them to bend over cause it's gonna hurt. Fresh meat for Big Bubba I guess.
  19. Sorry, they were 225/50/15...
  20. I think I've got something that size. Let me go home and check.
  21. Sent a PM a few days ago. Do you have the tyres in stock?
  22. Only one way to find out and that is try it in 3 years time. Frankly I don't think you have a good chance. You don't get labelled a habitual offender for no reason.
  23. Got anything in 245/40/18 or 245/35/18?
  24. World of difference there. I'm currently driving a Euro and for what it serves, I love it. Simple auto transmission, gets me from here to there and no hassles from the car or from people. I don't miss fnf hero's looking to gain street cred at the traffic lights, falcodores tailgating and the cold glare from the boys in blue. The Euro is alright on the road but will never see the race track. I'm still not use to the nose pitching so much under braking but it's not as much as other cars in this class. Running costs on the euro is much cheaper naturally. If I were to get a GTR again it would be for the sole purpose of tarmac rally or club racing. If you've still got the car mod bug then get the GTR. I don't see the point in modifying a euro, it was never intended to go at speeds. If you want a balanced and stiff chassis then the GTR of course.
  25. In terms of balance, the GTiR has too much weight on the front. On the road you probably won't notice it but a day at the track and you'll wish you had the GTR. This was the reason why it never faired well in the WRC. The GTR is not a cheap car to own. When things go wrong it's gonna cost and being an old car, don't kid yourself and think the GTR is bullet proof. With today's fuel prices I can only imagine how much it would cost. Then again both cars are old...
