Righteo Stagea is running super awesome like, yep thats right low down on power 'cause she still wont hold boost last thing it could be is the "Hybrid" dual stage ebc I got from Flynn performance ebay a few years ago its been fine for the stock turbo at 12psi or under it was stable and fine, but for the highflow and 1bar it drops to 12 adjusting the hks actuator the car reaches 200kw on the dyno no worries, but she wont hold the boost so, what boost controller? tuner - shaun at boostwerks, says the Profec B specII is the way to go Im going to buy as cheap as possible (ie under $300), so while I can get one eventually (330new) Im looking for any boost controller that is guaranteed to hold 1 bar stable thru the rev range what can you suggest? ta, I know there are loads of threads, yes I read, but what is your suggestion, on a budget, for the following details: cheers Car: Dayz special edition series 1 Stagea RS V Four 98000kms, automatic, RB25DET engine, Attessa 4wd 1997 model silky snow pearl, lives in southern Adelaide Engine: New Oxygen sensor New 400amp battery New fuel filter, new oil filter, fresh Castrol Edge 10/40w engine oil Fresh fluid throughout, 100,000km service done (water pump, belts, gaskets, all fluids, exhaust studs etc etc) Davies Craig automatic transmission oil cooler upgrade kit MV Automatic shift kit & auto service kit Koyo Radiator upgrade Splitfire coil packs on Ngk BCPR6E 0.8mm v-gruve copper spark plugs Bosch 040 fuel pump with direct battery feed at 13.8volts Aerospeed adjustable exhaust cam gear pulley wheel Greddy remote oil filter relocation kit Nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator Nissan Z32 Air Flow Meter 3inch JustJap stainless steel single dump pipe system (turbo to cat) 3inch Random Technology 617cfm high flow race cat converter (California spec) 3inch cat-back exhaust pipe to Kakimoto GTR Racing free flow straight thru muffler K&N pod filter Cold Air Induction aluminium box w/ lid setup, foam internals, using standard snorkel air feed Cold Air Radiator air guide (feeds radiator / pod / intercooler) Apexi 'Hybrid' front mount intercooler, tube & fin and bar & plate, with custom return air feed pipe kit Apexi boost gauge Apexi SAFC Super Air Fuel Computer Apexi SITC Super Ignition Timing Computer Hybrid dual stage Electronic Boost Controller, set to 1bar (drops to 12psi, requires replacement) Toshi ECU remap chip with custom chip adapter HKS heavy duty turbo actuator Sliding Performance water/oil cooled 360degree bush bearing HiFlow Turbocharger (rated 250rwkw@1Bar, 2yr old 10,000kms perfect condition, easy stable 1.1bar / 220kw achievable) Suspension: Bilstein front and rear suspension shocks, with ‘lowering’ circlips, using standard springs Whiteline front and rear adjustable swaybars Dayz adjustable engine swaybar Whiteline front castor kit Whiteline rear subframe alignment kit R34 GTT 17inch rims with Hankook K104 Vetus tyres, 235/45/17 Brakes: Maltech stainless steel braided brake lines, front and rear DBA slotted front brake discs Bendix Advance front and Heavy Duty rear brake pads Audio: Clarion stereo tape unit with 6-stack cd player Clarion amp Clarion 10inch subwoofer Pioneer 260w 4-way front door speakers Eclipse 80w 2-way rear door speakers Razin volt stabiliser kit XXXXXX car alarm * cheers for reading, and your posted thoughts edit: next tune will probably drop in the 555cc hiflowed injectors with new EBC

my injectors are brand new items that I got direct from deatschwerks USA

pulled 200kw no worries with adjustment of the wastegate, but the bleed valve (Hybrid dual stage ebc) is letting it down, still drops boost set at 1bar shes tuned nicely for 190awkw 1bar drop to 12psi (still !!!!!!!!!!!!) way more in it as is, if it held boost the graphs show ~210kw going to get a profec B eventually to fix it. midrange has gained 10kw throughout, feels very nice. Hills run tonight

cheers cubes - hows the family?! yeah just retuning after the hiflow 617cfm Random Technology cat converter install a month ago - should have fixed the massive boost drop issue nicely everything else is done, nicely and not too expensive. will handle 16psi daily no issues getting the rocker cover gasket, attessa oring & another leak fixed also hit the gas with my mum in the stag yesterday on the way to a Pain clinic appointment, pushed her back in the seat lol and stopped her chatter (for a second hahaha) then at the lights hit the stoppies, she actually commented wow it goes really nice (too low, too bumpy, but nice nonetheless lol) cant afford, really, to drop in the injectors this time round. if anyone wants them they can, but next service perhaps......

finges X that shaun/troy wave their majik over ms.stag today

hey original poster have a chat to sau business seller Toshi he does an ecu mod adapter plate and a custom tuned chip for air fuel ign.timing etc etc very very worth while my awd auto rb25det s1 stagea (s2 r33 engine, etc) keep the emanage to adjust the tune on the dyno my stagea had 180kw, did the ecu chip, on dynomade 82kw lol, backed off safc/sitc piggybacks and fuel pressure, made 190kw getting retuned today as Ive fixed the massive boost drop with a hiflowing cat converter (Random technologies, lol, but 617cfm...) have 555cc injectors to go in, were going in today but we'll see how it goes, havent got much $ really atm, so probably drop them in next service/tune 4000kms time tuner, shaun @ boostwerks, hasnt got a problem in setting up the injectors to run... mind you they are stock high flowed deatschwerks 555cc items. for sale at cost if anyone really wants them (I dont need massive power figures, just a good tune). anyways. have a chat to Toshi and see what he can do for you. pretty cheap way of getting your auto running well.

my stagea is great ! no rattles, groans or squeaks keeps up with any car in the traffic light gran`prix (tuning again today!) fuel bill is no different to an aussie V8 (had a VR bt1 to compare it with) if properly tuned, by that I mean piggybacks and ecu chip mod (S1, from sau member Toshi) S1 rb25 is my choice, auto awd is perfect for the road (bare in mind my S1 is fully mod'd, 18k car 3yrs ago plus 14k mods) you can pick up S1 from 9k to 12k for a decent one, for 15k itd have to be realy nice. I doubt Id even get 16k for mine even with the huge list of modified parts

if it was a "click" then probably a fuse, or something to do with elecrical get an auto electrician out to check her over GL
-
very nice yeah Im seeing heaps down south l8ly
-
yeah my tuners fixed mine for me
-
toshi's ecu chip works
-
if yours are buggered, either replace one by one from a 2nd hand set (find them for $100 max), use hi temp industrial strength silicon sealant all the way around each coil pack to help reduce the wasted spark but for $500, splitfires would be a far greater buy then stock Oem coilpacks at over double the price double the price would not guarantee any better performance, not even 0.5% better. aint worth it. splitfires for newies or silicon around the old stockies
-
mine looks stock too, very mild look/sound but completely unrestricted now !!! 3" all way straight thru dump/cat/muffler
-
the other option is a Toshi ecu remap chip with chip-to-chip adapter plate soldered in place for around $700ish all up tune on friday, will be 200+kw
-
lol come for a spin in mine then..... whistles "this old girl she aint what she used to be, she aint what she used to be...."
-
its seraphic glass, made like that. the front windows would look good with a legal tint. nice. looks half-decent
-
common problem good choice of sparkies, but use industrial strength silicon sealant all around the coilpacks to stop wasted spark. get bleed valve and set to 10psi get turbo to cat dump pipe, 3" bellmouth, for $220, and a catback system (muffler and pipe for $300) get panel air filter such as Pipercross, K&N etc (same as vr/vs commodore) get safc, wire it in, change all fluids, and get it dynoed should feel MUCH better, have better fuel economy (should), and more power not too expensive, a grand and she'll be running smooth with around 140awkw
-
Just Jap Racing 3" bellmouth stainless steel turbo-to-cat dump pipe Random Technology 3" stainless steel hiflow 620cfm metal cat converter 3" cat-back straight thru pipe to Kakimoto GTR Racing 3" straight thru muffler sounds fkn awesome isnt loud, isnt toney, isnt bassey, isnt deafening, doesnt have noticeble drawl thru the cabin, no headaches, no earaches sounds H O R N as the boost rises the power rises, the gasses come out unrestricted but yet muffled enough to tell its a tough RB25det in a shagn wagn
-
dude, a hks gt2530 would be great for a heavy Stagea would absolutely rip off the line and rev thru to redline, slam thru the auto and keep on going..... yes, would be maxxed at 220awkw, but shit mate, no different to my Slide turbo. I cant see how she'd go past 225, but damn its a great ride there ! yes a gt2535 would take the stagea to 250, but depends on what you want and bang for buck. 250kw for $2200 new or 220kw $1100 2ndhand, its each to their own really fyi: having a touch up tune this friday, getting 3 leaks fixed (attessa oring, rocker cover gasket, oil pressure switch), with the toshi ecu rewritten chip and 2x piggybacks, and now the unrestricted exhaust (cat was shagged at 190kw), should be good.

I see cc031d around a bit nice one great stag dude catch up down south whenever youre up for it, pm me (M/vale)
