  1. bingo its the feature thats been specified when ordering the stagea mines got it, almost caught me out a few years ago, but you quickly learn to put keys in pocket dont disable, good safety feature imo
  2. Stagea's are heaps cheap now, like 10k for a series 1 rb25det auto awd. awesome upgrade from a 33-32-s15. I'll too have a pod to go to a new home next week, a K&N pod filter for a RB25det either stock or z32 afm
  3. use photobucket or something for pic attachments etc Ive got a Toshi remap chip, sounds exactly the same to be honest
  4. or I can sell you my dual stage ebc (Hybrid brand) that holds boost fine for stock turbos, 12psi no good for 1bar tho cost me 270, plus install, can sell for a hundred I reckon getting the profecB spec2 myself, to hold 1bar steady
  5. yeah I like your rims, but already got 17's next tyres (like in 12months time) I'll grab a set of aussie 18's and sell my GTT's did I let ppl know I got accepted onto Disability Pension? not full payment until February (like $880 pm full payment is a lot anyway lol) but we'll manage (off the morgage, grrr) got the spa yesterday, 2.5 L x 2 W x .9 H, new for 3190, a cple grand under sellers wholesale cost lol, sells for 7k plus in shops also got the kiddies this:
  6. stock is good, same as gtr bov if you want aftermarket I could suggest a GFB Stealth-FX atmo/plumb-back (100% adjustable) bov, nice sound, no stalling issues on plumb back mode full atmo isnt a good idea IMHO, at the least some sort of adjustable one to get the 'mixture" of atmo/plumb back correct
  7. out of interest, how much roughly did you get for a 200,000km old Stagea ?
  8. wow, thats cheap ask the seller if it is water cooled as well as oil cooled?
  9. check the 4wd fuse thats what happened to mine when the cd stacker shagged a attessa wire, resulting in shorting out engine-bay Big awd fuses 1st check 2nd check, fluid and air pressure 3rd check, attessa been serviced lately? Im waiting on an 0-ring seal for mine, only (lightest of light) leak in my entire vehicle.... keep it serviced and in good knick. expensive to repair / replace
  10. bilstein shocks, stock springs, lowering circlips 350mm centre wheel to middle wheelarch, all 4 corners hard as, perfect for street with wife and 2 kids, or Hills for a solo run keep the car, looks nice, just swap the suspension for bilstein springs / lowering circlips from SK group buy Sunday 24th still ??
  11. nah its all good will save some $$ and get a profec b specii from Slide along with an apexi suction filter cheers anyways will do what the tuner says (ebc) and get a new air filter
  12. hahah cheers but I quit work a month ago, got accepted onto the disability support pension as of 2days ago (no knees, 12 surgeries, 2m tall, 24/7 cronic pain) so I dont have $600 for a eboost2 lol damn. anyone want to sponser my Stagea ?
  13. hey cheers mate but NO I wont be using jaycar kit as it is my current ebc holds stable 12psi no issues and always has but with big hiflow and 1bar, it doesnt. no guarantee a jaycar will no guarantee I can even build it and get it work'n going to save $300 and see what I can buy thats why Im after suggestions whats the best buy for $300 for an ebc that holds 1bar guranteed probably the profec b spec-2, looking on ebay for a good priced one but also looking at blitz, hks. anyone else? hks evc 2 looks to old to me. maybe a 3 or 4. jaycar, no. sorry. cheers but yeah...
  14. no no do shift kit first then larger cooler trust me my shift kit was one of my last mods, i wish i wish it was my first shift kit and auto service ASAP in my honest (qualified?) opinion get the auto service lads to install a cooler at same time.... start savn' $440 for service and shift kit at MV Autos (blackwood, SA, Mike is renowned for his shift kit and nissan knowledge) around $120 for craig davies auto cooler, easy install.
  15. yeah the burble on the Kakimoto racing muffler is very nice is definately under the db rule limit on my stagea all 3" from turbo back all straight thru JJR stainless dump $320 installed Random Technology 617cfm hiflow Californian cat converter $180 installed Kakimoto Racing GTR muffler $200 installed so if you shop around you can get a cheap full 3" hiflow exhaust, that sounds great and performs well ebay then exhaust shop for fitting is the way to go =)
  16. I fitted a brake master cylinder stopper this week. Bolts to the chassis underneath the engine sway bar, and a bolt with big round end sits Hard against the master cylinder stops any flex thru the chassis under brake load. ie normal braking the master cylinder will move under pressure install the stopper, and under braking the bmc cant move, no flex means you get better peddle feel hopefully less fade too so, Maltech braided lines front and rear, Bendix advance front heavyduty rear pads, front Dba slotted rotors, brake master cylinder stopper works Very Well
  17. for a couple dollars more can get a HKS EVC III the evc 2 looks pretty old. hhhmmmmmm. any other suggestions? just need a guaranteed stable 1bar boost, no drop off from the ebc
  18. yeah I checked my account yesterday, and found Id got a Pension payment then got the mail to find Im accepted for Disability Support Pension so, heregoes........................... Pain Clinic is finished, so see where that goes. Hopefully better pain relief, cause its pretty crazy to be honest keeping busy being dad, while my wife is doing an aged care course full time take care all hey
  19. yeah a few ppl are running shift kitted autos with Power FC I was going to do it, the car ran ok with it in (a simple "secret squirrel" trick - stagea section - to reroute a wire makes it run fine, no engine check light) have a chat to Toshi about a ecu remap perhaps? thats what Ive done (sold my PowerFC for what I bought it for) so, my shift kitted auto is running a SAFC and SITC plus the Toshi ecu remap, sweet to drive, and pulls damn hard. just didnt want to rebuild the auto after some abuse from a Power Fc due to the no ignition pause on gear change. harder shifts then normal and eventuall wears the auto gears. having the normal ecu with a remap (timing, air, fuel, boost, unliited, etc etc) from Toshi really seemed the best choice to me for a 200akw daily
  20. if you are using a piggyback, once youve got your mods done Id suggest talking to Toshi, get a ecu chip done, retune the piggyback and you should be sweet
  21. the build date of the car is on the plate in the engine bay fk.me just have a look man 96 is early late 97 is late, if you have a 98 s1 its one of the last most s1 would be 1996-1997
  22. there is one on ebay for $120m atm I saw it last night, Uk I think by memory (or usa, japan, but think UK)
  23. better check the build plate in the engine bay?
  24. nice, Im new to turbo's, and I definately suggest a Toshi remap in conjunction with a piggyback such as safc/sitc, emanage ultimate, haltech interceptor etc. mod chip plate is a cple hundred, chip and tune is the same, plus soldering costs for the mod chip plate bracket holder
  25. wanting a Profec B Spec II (spec-2) for $220 or under can get one new for $330 delivered ex-Japan, but rather a used one anyone?
