Righteo I have a Toshi map writen on a chip, and have the chip adapter to fit MY stagea ecu see pics, ring around what has to be cut out new big adapter soldered on and new ecu map chip soldered into adapter fire up and boost away. safc/sitc retune on 19th at boostwerks, so setting them to zero in the meantime. have the ecu and chips at an auto electrician atm, hes got a bloke coming to look-see (tv repair shop didnt want to do it)...... if they arnt confident to do it, where can I go to get the adapter and chip fitted?? suggestions? cheers Tangles

yep, last mod for me. even if the turbo blows in the future, will stick to a hks-2530 or hks-2535 and this chip will suit. and as you say, any issues and Toshi will re-write the chip.

agreed damn drugs at work is bad , mmmmmm'k I had xdrilled / slotted on my V8 Commywhore and liked them, no catching or cracking, but using slotted only (and braided lines, stock bendix pads) on the Stagea and they suffice perfectly

because when lads like myself grabbed the safc/sitc combo, emanage was over a grand and no-one really knew how to tune them (in adelaide at least, can pass a few stories to you about blown engines and electronics, etc). so, 30months back, it wasnt a viable option. personally, from all research, the re-written ecu chip is as good a "mod" as a tuned Power-fc. just that it cant be retuned on the run as per the P-fc. no point in ripping out the safc/sitc combo, and installing emanage as it isnt cost effective, frankly. safc $350 new, sitc $250 new, chip $750 installed, tuning. same price as power-fc at the end of the day, with similar results (albeit stock injectors.....). even if you do the emanage, the re-written chip would still be of good benefit to do. chip / adapter has been posted, so will get it fitted in the next 2 weeks, and tuned on 19th June. results will be shared.

another stag gone.........

get stock pads, rebuild the stock brakes (calipers? or drum), get braided custom brake lines, and perhaps xdrilled slotted dba stock rotors. should be more than good enough

ah ok. my bad. soz for bad advice. I said shift kit, as that will help minimise the gear change time, seeing that the P-fc has no ignition retard on gear changes. meh, piggyback it then or talk to Toshi, Im dealing with him atm for a remap chip for my stagea (r34 plug). I had an r34 gtt power-fc and assumed itd work for an r34 like it would for my non-neo rb25det, but decided I cant afford a shagged gearbox.

power fc will work, however Id strongly suggest a good auto gearbox shift kit over time the gearbox will die an ugly death tho, will eventually need a rebuild

Thanks for the offer mate Toshi has already sent my money for the adapter and received it with the ecu data he needed so, it should be all good considering the tune can be "fine tuned" on the dyno with the safc/sitc. cheers again

hhmmmm - wouldnt mind some green this weekend

yeah, Toshi looked into the daughterboard but with my ecu it couldnt be sourced (easily) I'll be happy once its done, if it works. Will let you all know in good time (last modification for my stagea)
