  2. yeah the slide-highflows are pretty decent mines just a stage "2" highflow, the stage "3" has the VG30 rear housing my inlet and exhaust have been ported to the extreme ! ryan, Ive got some tools (you'd probably want to bring some of your trusties along tho), a real good jack, and some dodgy wheel ramps if needed. only thing is with no kneecaps I cant kneel or squat or stuff like that

  5. looks the goods Hotwire!!! Query - cant see the baby seats installed yet?
  6. hey Krishy! yeah the highflows arnt done by Slide anymore, unfortunately. I got a good deal, supplied 2x ruined turbos and some cash (under 700) for the highflowed turbo, steel wheels, 360deg bush bearing, oil and water cooled, rated 250rwkw at 1bar. Other shops do similar highflows, journal bearing, for around 1300. Glad to hear the BOV is good, sounds pretty cool hey! I miss it Rub's, yeah mate has an Apexi mechanical boost guage. Ryan says he's done heaps before, and if he doesnt mind a drive and a billy and a gift of a) b) or c) then its all looking good atm. sent a PM ryan.
  7. Done Ryan!! sweeet ! cheers matey, if youve done it before should be all good. its a 1bar (14.7) actuator, and Im tuned for 1bar as well with a dual stage ebc (albeit drops to 12 psi, hence this actuator needs to be installed). sending you a PM, cheers for offering
  8. Im easy No rush, it isnt going anywhere fast lol Yeah Ive got the workshop manual on CD pdf form....
  9. Its a standard RB25 turbo, but highflowed front and rear housings by Sliding Performance, with oil/water journal bearing centre. Using stock rb25 actuator atm.
  10. Hey all. Any southeners after some spare change one weekend? I ordered an HKS Heavy Duty adjustable turbocharger actuator of Nengun last August and received it in December. 5 months later I still cant see when it would get fitted. Are there any handy-andy's down south who wouldnt mind getting their hands dirty for a) $70 cash?, b) or 2x bottle of spirits such as Jim Beam, c) or a premium case of beer, to install the hks turbo actuator for me? Just too hard on my knees to bend over the bonnet and work on the car with no kneecaps..... last time I installed splitfires (1 month ago) I was ruined for a week lol. Ive got some tools, fairly basic, and got room in the garage out of wind/rain etc. Live in morphett vale and am a very friendly host, the water billy can be fired up & passed around no worries Just after one southener who wouldnt mind sparing an hour of his/her time, for shop rates (boostwerks is around $70 for an hour) and I cant see why the actuator would be more than an hour to install and set to 1 bar?
  11. yeh not bad dude

  15. Ive always wanted an aprillia rsv-r 1litre v-twin, personally. anything from italy from say 2000 up is going to be half decent quality. but Id never get my missus a scooter death written all over it LOL (funnneh, coming from a passionate ex-road rider !) GL and stay safe rubyrs4-missus!!!
  16. plenty around - just not in Australia lacks power to weight ratio, therefore cant be brought in under the RAWS laws
  17. when was the last time the fuel filter was replaced? also, try some injector cleaner and then next tank octane boost at some stage to clear the lines? (placebo effect........)
  18. haha ! lol, when you're 6'8" you dont need the 100th% of the tyre edge to get full lean - do that too often and you lose your head around a corner to a Patrol or Landcruiser. been there, so close, too many times for comfort. lol trick is to wash the speed off late but before the corner, have your weight and angles set up, your path chosen, all a good 50m before the point of movement, then bail it back on the gas, nice and consistent, lean with it, control your body with the complete weight of your machine, lean more, really testing the power, rush, gather up flick up the gear, angle body opposite, lean bike opposite thru that massive S bend, keep opening that throttle, speed gathering, road churning underneath - total grip, total control, really fealing it. 220's in 240s out, rushing top end now, flick up, striaghten up, gather your weight inwards, stable the bike make it as light as possible, harder, faster, 280s now find last gear, harder still, watching, acting, thinking, feeling it all, zen. 300 stab the petals, wash off 80 and lean in, feel it again, the machines weight going down with your body, reaching for the next axis, control it now, control it.... harder, hold it round, gather it up, squirt some, 240 red| 4th, bang those petals, down, down, gather the weight on the front end, feather the rear, get stable, back end creaping out, wash it out the opposite way at 130, flick in, hold the weight, rushing, nail it ! scream past 220 and keep it nailed, body gathered in............ there's 20secs of a 1hr ride
  19. make sure your battery leads and connection is clean, and very good & tight (as in a very good electric connection) stock bov? I had this happen, like, 3 times in 5months while I used a GFB Stealth FX plumb-back BOV (from xmas to end april) after replacing bov back to stock (put stock bov in vice and compressed tophat spring) and cleaning battery connections, its all good again. but yeah mine went mind corner and I wasnt happy. lucky it was city street and was under 20kmph
  20. I can do it all, I love to design and build pc systems but thats desktop Ive never attempted pulling a laptop apart, and dont want to start with the boss's because then it really WILL be my problem if they fark up in future (these guys are completely pc illeterate, the laptops are just to view pam anderson & jenna jameison) anyone got someone they swear by for service/repairs for laptops? Im sure I can fix it no issue there, but frankly Im sick of repairing their PC's (software) and having the bone pointed at me when they constantly f-up due to the (hardware) issue.
  21. its crazy, I run asus hardware in my gaming pc and couldnt be happier when it comes to laptops, everything is so over priced. yeah, after advice of who to take them to for good service/repairs at best price
  22. Hey I purchased for the business, around 20 months ago, two Asus F3JP-AP002P laptop notebooks. For the two Directors. They run Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 @ 1.66ghz, 2x 512mb DDR2 ram, Intel 945PM chipset, dvdrw, ATi x1700 video, WinXP Pro, and 80GB Sata 5400rpm hard drive. The shop (interstate, internet) we bought them from had a 1yr warranty, but the two laptops are still under 24month global asus warranty. Dont want to deal with the original company, rather deal with an adelaide repair / warranty place. Pretty much, they both need 2gb Ram (not 1gb), and the Harddrives, In My Opinion & from plenty of desktop pc experience, are rooted. Too many errors, loads of BSOD, just random problems with the 'brains' of the pc - like they both have alzheimers or something (G'ma had that, is very similar lol). I can format, put stuff back on, and a day later the HD is having siezures looking for and not being able to run simple things, such as Screen Saver, or Power Options, etc. Even hibernation will result in all bad things, mmmm 'k. So - who would you recommend to send these 2x Asus laptops to in Adelaide, to get hard drive replaced in both, and memory upgraded? They may wish to test components 1st, but Im pretty sure its the Hard Drives. I dont want to pick them apart, as then it'd all be egg on my face from the boss's if/when things stuff up in future. where to from here? cheers in advance (and I now officially, and always have anyways, HATE laptops - over priced pieces of shite IMHO)
  23. Kralster, situational awareness comes into it, big time. Takes time to learn, undoubtedly. Wont happen overnight - even saying that some things you cant forsee. I had a 750cc Ninja within 9months of applying for L's. Could have had a litre-eater, but was trying to be sensible. Well, as sensible as possible, considering...............
  24. sell me the TLR1000 before you flog it off to some other nut
