  1. "car is a a r32 gts-4 that has been converted to a gts-t" I take it that means it is 2wd and all of the 4wd components have been removed. Hence it is 160 kgs or so lighter, all over the front wheels. That means the engine subframe, lower control arms and radius rods have also been changed to R32GTST parts. If that is the case then you need R32GTST components Rather than coil overs, try the Group Buy, it's a far superior solution http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=85591 cheers

  3. Cusco used to have different part numbers for 2wd and 4wd. Then they went to one part number. cheers
  4. Nissan does use Bilsteins for short run "special" models, AKA limited editions. Bilsteins are also a popular replacement shock if the standard (Nissan) shcoks fail. So, in your case, it could be either. cheers
  5. As the guys have said, don't drive it. If they are not there today, then get them on the phone first thing Monday and explain the situation. PM me if you need any further help. The usual process is to install the bushes but not tighten the nuts fully until after the wheel alignment. My guess (and it's only a guess) is that they have not done the final tighten after the wheel alignment. Cheers
  6. Just so that no one is under any disillusions here. I have sent Felix 25 pictures of his RB30 bottom end at every stage of the build process. That includes pictures of every part used and all machining work done. I have also written 41 emails and sent countless PM's. I have even sent him a picture of the crate that his engine will be packed into. As far as I am aware I only owe him one picture and that's the one of his engine in the crate ready for shipping, obviously I can't send him that picture until it is actually ready. In those emails and PM's I have answered over 100 questions, supplied more than 15 pages of technical and engineering suggestions to his questions and problems. Not just on engines but on every aspect of an R32GTR. If I had been charging my usual engineering rates by the hour, he would owe me enough to build 5 engines. Due to the delay I haven’t asked for any progress payments. I have covered the costs myself, personally, because I felt that it wasn’t fair to ask him for the payments even though they were entitled under the terms of the supply contract. cheers PS; Felix, please, email and PM is better than an open forum. I does neither of us any good.
  7. Castrol was listed on the London Stock Exchange, so it's hardly American BP announced the take over in March 2000. I suggest that you had better go back to your previous post and remove the incorrect statements, some people may read them and get the wrong idea. We have used ONLY Castrol lubricants in the race and road cars for over 20 years and never had one lubricant related problem. No, I don't work for Castrol and never have. No, I don't sell Castrol products and never have, I just use them (with total confidence). cheers
  8. Try this; This is how much much to trim off a Group Buy front bump stop, shown next to a standard Skyline front bump stop. The orange line is for standard height, the red line is for ~350 mm centre of wheel to guard and the yellow line is for ~330 mm centre of wheel to guard. cheers
  9. I have reponded to all PM's that I have received, if you haven't got a response, please resend the PM. Please note that if I don't repond to a PM immediately it might be because I get 30-40 per day, I repond to them in the order I receive them and I do sleep at night time. I feel like I need to keep defending my position, but I believe it won't achieve anything. So I will simply leave it at 43 x RB30's ordered over the last 5 years and only one cancellation. Harris are not the only supplier, in this instance the delay IS NOT 100% their fault, other suppliers (2 in fact) started the chain. Please take all further correspondence to PM's or emails. cheers PS; the RB30 in the pictures below is MINE, it was started in the previous run. I have told the guys not to touch it until this batch of RB30's is finished. So please don't think that I am not suffering just as much as you. Or my own stuff is getting done first, because it isn't.
  10. I have just finished the engineering for Jamex on the 200SX S15 Bilstein and Whiteline Suspension kits. These have been extensively road and track tested over the last 4 months in three S15’s. Similar to what I did for R32/33/34’s, they will be offered on a Group Buy from Jamex for 15% to 20% less than the recommended retail prices, plus freight will be free for all orders over $500, plus there will be an additional discount of 5% for orders over $1,000. The Group Buy kit was engineered (by me) to give a sporty, but not harsh ride, for the street and at the same time suite the sort of things that S15’s owners use their cars for (road, drag and circuit). It’s a great all round kit judging by the comments back from the people that have tried it. Due to the strut based front end there will be a basic kit with Whiteline coil springs. Plus a full height adjustable coil over kit utilising Eibach (the best) coil springs with Noltec adjustable strut tops as an option. Extensive engineering has been carried out on a full replacement coil over front strut which features a unique Bilstein shock absorber. Plus it allows greater scope for camber adjustment combined with the use of wide wheels and tyres. Front Bilstein inserts and rear shocks Front fabricated strut with the Bilstein insert Rear Bilstein shock with Whiteline spring Picture of Bilstein/Eibach rear coil over spring/shock unit Picture of the Noltec adjustable strut top Rear Camber Kit Front Caster Kit In all cases the Bilstein damper valving has been selected (by me) to suite the spring and stabiliser bar rates used. I have spent some time engineering in an additional 20 mm (23 mm at the wheel) front suspension travel to avoid one of the major limitations of the packaging in an S15. This means I could use a lower spring rate for better handling and ride and, at the same time avoid the bottoming out issues that frequent lowered S15's The Bisltein front struts incorporate an internal bump stop which has been rated and sized to suite the rest of the kit. For better control of dynamic camber and caster, the Bilstein front inserts feature the inverted layout which results in far stronger resistence to the bending forces that struts have to endure. The rear Bilsteins are of course full shock replacements and the Whiteline Bump Stop & Dust Cover kit has suggested trimming heights as follows; There is a full set of suggested alignment settings (including ride heights) for both road and track use, which are designed to optimise the handling and avoid excessive tyre wear. Table of alignment settings Recommended Road Settings Front Caster = 7 degrees positive (slightly more on the LHS to counter the drift to the gutter) Camber = 1.25 to 1.5 degrees negative Toe = Zero Rear Camber = 0.75 to 1.25 degrees negative Toe = In 2 mm each side Recommended Circuit (grip) Settings Front Caster = 8 to 9 degrees positive Camber = 2.5 to 4.0 degrees negative Toe = Zero Rear Camber = 1.25 to 2.0 degrees negative Toe = Zero Recommended Drift Settings Front Caster = 8 to 9 degrees positive Camber = 2.5 to 4.0 degrees negative Toe = Zero to 1 mm toe out each side Rear Camber = 0.75 to 1.0 degrees negative Toe = Out 2 mm each side Recommended Drag Settings Front Caster = 7 degrees positive Camber = 1.25 to 1.5 degrees negative Toe = Zero Rear Camber = 0.25 positive to zero degrees (never negative) Toe = Zero Price Lists The Road Kit is designed for daily sporty driving and is suitable for occasional circuit, drag and drift work. Although an upgrade to adjustable stabiliser bars would be recommended for those willing to tune the handling for their personal preferences. The price lists reflect a saving for SAU Group Buyers of $678 (around 25%) over normal retail prices. The Road & Track Kit is suitable for road driving, to and from the track and other weekend work. Several of the guys during the testing have commented that they could easily live with the Competition Kit as a daily driver. The stabiliser bars are, of course, adjustable, plus the springs and damper rates are not in any way excessive. The recommended alignment settings are a bt extreme for daily driving and would result in excessive tyre wear if large numbers of kilometres are driven. The Road & Track Kit is priced the same for Drag, Circuit (grip) and Drift users. The spring, shock and stabiliser bar rates being the difference. So please specify your usage patterns when ordering. The price lists reflect a saving for SAU Group Buyers of $1,215 (around 25%) over normal retail prices. Availability Springs are usually in stock at Whiteline and Eibach Bilstein takes 1-2 working days to fit the inserts Bushes are usually in stock at Whiteline Stabiliser bars take 4-5 working days to make as Whiteline do not keep stock Delivery is via Toll priority and usually takes 1-2 working days to anywhere in Australia. 11. Yeh, yeh, we know. But we were talking about transfer case oil. So the question was what is the difference between the oil you use in a automatic transfer case and a manual transfer case. And the answer is.................... NONE cheers
  12. Try the Stagea section Chris, there is large (pinned) thread on Stagea Suspension. cheers
  13. The R34GTT Bilsteins arrived at Jamex today and deliveries for orders placed will commence tomorrow, check your PM's for con note numbers tomorrow. If you are thinking of getting an R34GTT kit, I strongly suggest that you do it very soon. This shipment won't last long. cheers
  14. They would have given a nice ride and good handling :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014:
  15. The R33GTST Bilsteins arrived at Jamex today and deliveries for orders placed will commence tomorrow, check your PM's for con note numbers tomorrow. If you are thinking of getting an R33GTST kit, I strongly suggest that you do it very soon. This shipment won't last long. cheers
  16. Hi Simon, the LHS front is unusual, you may have to look at replacing the upper arm, that's the most commonly bent item. The uprights are pretty damn tough and they don't bend easily. A bent lower control arm usually means not enough negative camber, so I doubt that it's a lower arm. Around 1.0 degrees negative camber on the rear is OK and not unusual. Do you know if they adjusted the standard rear camber adjusters? They are good for around 0.25 degrees, which might enable them to balance out the rear. The rear toe in is 2mm each side. cheers
  17. Sorry no, Bilstein Australia have not been advised by Bilstein Germany of the production schedule for any R32 rear shocks (that's GTR, GTST and GTS4). As soon as I know, I will post up the expected delivery dates. All other items (including front shocks) are currently available. cheers
  18. Holidays were notified. cheers
  19. Yep, definitely standard, has a split in the dust cover as usual. Cheers
  20. Too much crankshaft end float, happens all the time. cheers
  21. Maybe have a read of this before you go using lowered springs with standard shocks. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...amp;hl=standard cheers
  22. The Stagea S1 auto is easily the best tow master I have had and I have had over 20. A trans cooler on any auto for towing is essential. cheers PS; easily the worst tow vehicle I ever had was a Commondoor SS manual ute. No traction, stuff got stolen out of the back and/or wet when it rained. Killed 3 clutches under warranty, first gear was FAR too high for towing. Then the diff died before it was 12 months old. Glad ot see the end of that POS.
  23. R31 waggons are live rear axle for a start, not IRS. They have MacPherson strut front end, not double wishbone, etc, etc. cheers
