  1. That's an OK front rate for a GTR that sees a bit of track work, would need some decent shocks to control it. From what you are saying the height might be the problem. Some Bilsteins with the additional circlip grooves would handle the rate and then the height could be fixed using the lower grooves. But the Whiteline springs are only $144 a pair on the Group Buy and they are the right rate and height. cheers
  2. 275 lbs/inch (4.9 kg/mm) Which isn't standard R32GTR front, maybe check the dimensions again. cheers
  3. Bushes are usually in stock at Whiteline Stabiliser bars take 4-5 working days to make as Whiteline do not keep stock Delivery is via Toll priority and usually takes 1-2 working days to anywhere in Australia. So, no chance before Xmas, closed between Xmas and New Year. My guess would be 5th January, but that's just a guess. cheers
  4. My 20 cents; The base maps are pretty good for your level of mods Use Shell V Power Racing 100 ron only Monitor the knock, check dash warning at 60, you should get no warning flashes Check the fuel economy, if you are OK with it, then no tune required until you do the rest of the mods cheers
  5. As I have mentioned previously there is nothing wrong with 1JZ/JZ's themselves (other than the turbo being on the wrong side), it is the stuff bolts on to the engine that is the problem. One example, multiple throttle bodies on RB26's, there is nothing even remotely close on JZ's. This makes such a huge difference in throttle response, which for a road car is nice to have and for a circuit car is a MUST. Second example, gearboxes, the fact is Toyota don't make a decent manual gearbox that bolts to a JZ. They admit it themselves by using Gertrag to supply gearboxes for the Supras. Who cares for a drag car, run an auto. Third example, no 4wd option. It's all very well for the JZ to make lots of power, but that is pretty damn useless if you can't get it to the ground. Traction is a nice thing for a road car to have and for a circuit car it is a MUST. For a 1/4 mile car, well who cares, just use bigger drag slicks on the rear. When chosing an engine, sometimes the most important thing is not the engine itself, but how that engine fits into the rest of the package around it. This is why an RB20/25/26/30 will always be a superior choice. cheers
  6. Damn it was full again, 52 PM's last night. It's OK now cheers
  7. They are on the Bilstein Germany Production List, but they have no confirmed shipping date. When I know I will post it up. cheers
  8. Sorry, this Group Buy is closed for shocks as there is no more stock of front R33GTST Bilsteins. I will re-open it when the next shipment is confirmed. The other items (springs, bushes and stabilsier bars) are still available however. Merry Xmas to all at SAU
  9. Sorry, this Group Buy is closed for shocks as there is no more stock of rear R32GTR Bilsteins. I will re-open it for shocks when the next shipment is confirmed. The other items (springs, bushes and stabilsier bars) are still available however. Merry Xmas to all at SAU

  14. Try the Group Buy, read the comments back from the hundred or so guys using the kits. cheers
  15. Hi Sam, it is pretty unusual for the busges to squeak this quickly. I put a set on the Stagea over 2 years ago and it doesn't make a sound. The R33GTST was done last January and it doesn't make any noise either. Have you been pressure washing or steam cleaning? Or crossing any rivers lately? cheers
  16. What's the question? R32GTR callipers are Sumitomo, and basically the same as R33GTST Callipers Some R32GTR's did come with Brembos, N1 and V Spec for example. But they are not anywhere near as common as the standard R32GTR Sumitomo callipers. The difference between R32GTR and R32GTST callipers is that the legs on the R32GTR callipers are longer. Hence spacing the calliper 8 mm further out from the hub, thus using a 16 mm larger diameter rotor. Brembo pads only fit Brembo callipers. Did that answer the question? Cheers
  17. I realy don't know where to start with the explanations, there is so much that you don't know. Let's try this; 1. What is the actual height, all 4 corners, centre of wheel to guard. This the standard suspension industry measurement and we ca ntell ifr it is too low or not by that measurement. So get your tape measure out and measure it. 2. If it truly has no travel available, then raising it 10 mm is NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH. Try 50 mm for a starter. 3. This thread tells you how to measure the springs so that I can work out the spring rates. Maybe it has lots of travel available, but its not using it because the spring rates are Japanese stupid. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=79157 Once I have the heights and the spring rates, I can make some suggestions on what you should do. cheers

  20. Whiltein only make the one rear spring rate, you would have to go to a coil over kit. Revalving depends an how much higher spring rate you want to use. We should take this to a PM, rather than clog up a Group Buy thread. PM sent. cheers

  22. Yep, I have been away In Canberra since Thursday. So at 30 to 40 PMs a day, my inbox fills up pretty quick. The Group Buy kit was engineered (by me) to give a sporty ride for the street and at the same time suite the sorts of things that Skyline owners use their cars for (road drag and circuit). It a great all round kit. I have done an 11.9 at 120 mph with a 1.8 second 60' on a Group Buy kit in the R34GTT. So I don't see a problem using it for occasional run down the 1/4. PM sent with prices. cheers
  23. No, not yet. First one in with the money gets them. cheers
  24. Hi Warren, I am sorry that you had problems with Toll. There have been well over 100 deliveries on the suspension Group Buys and yours is the only complaint I have received. Nothing, not a single package, has gone missing and everyone has been very happy with Toll's service. So I can only suggest that your particular local Toll courier is the exception. The rest of them have done a pretty damn good job. cheers
