  1. Sounds like, insufficient rebound damping in the shocks to control the spring wind up caused by the rear squat on acceleration. Typical of a poorly matched spring rate and shock valving. If you have adjustable shocks, try winding them up towards full stiffness. It sometimes helps. Cheers
  2. Eventually you may have to take it back to where you bought it and ask for a refund as it doesn't fit. But before that, can you please explain the problem in a little more detail. Nissan seemed to have a habit of using different subframes for no logical reason that I have found. Maybe line the standard bar up with the Whiteline bar and tell me where they are different, measurements are always a help. As for loading pictures, I load them into my SAU gallery and the nlink to them in the thread. Cheers
  3. I will try and pop in as often as I can, but there is plenty going on in the business right now. Where are we......rear arms; There are 2 upper control arms on each side; one is at 90 degrees to the wheel (I call it the upper control arm) the other is at 45 degrees to the wheel (I call it the traction rod) When you buy one Whiteline rear camber kit you are supposed to fit it to the inner bushes on the control and the traction arm. This is an easy job as you can remove the arms (2 bolts each) and they fit into any normal garage sized press. If you need lots of camber correction, then you might need 2 rear camber kits. The second kit goes in the outer joints which are actually in the upright itself, not in the control or traction arms. This is a tough job as you have to remove the uprights, that means rotors, callipers, drive shafts etc. If you don't fit the camber kit to the control arm and the traction rod, you will end up with bump steer, the rear toe angles will change as the suspension moves up and down. Ask John Pennlington what effect that has on your car's traction, we fixed the bump steer on his 300ZX and it was 1.5 secs a lap faster at Philip Island. So using one of those aftermarket Japanese control arms (to adjust camber) on its own, is not only a bad idea from an NVH point of vie, it is a bad idea from a handling (traction) perspective. Keep the need for traction arm adjustment in mind when buying the Noltec rear camber kit as they only come with 2 sets of bushes, so you need to buy 2 kits to match the Whiteline's one kit. Yes that means 4 kits to match the Whitelines 2 kits. Fear not for your wallet, 2 Noltec kits are not much more expensive than 1 Whiteline kit. Gosh it's good to be back, look out for a thread on Nissans at SEMA, I am nearly finished editing the 300 photos. Cheers Gary
  4. Try the Group Buy http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=85591 Any questions PM is good. Cheers
  5. Sorry, Matt was having a bad day, I have edited appropriately Cheers
  6. The first place to start, as always is; How low is it, centre of wheel to guard on all 4 corners? Cheers
  7. Good to hear May I ask what spring rate you went to? 3 seconds with only a suspension change is good. 5 is awesome!! SK Snr is less of a beer drinker I must warn... Me on the other hand...
  8. Give a man a fish, he eats for a day; teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime I am actually going to buy one of those Ikeya Formula wheel alignment kits, where do you obtain them (or should I get one in Hong Kong in January)?
  9. rear parcel shelf required with all bits, price and pics please
  10. The problem with it now it who you have to buy it through But soon that changes (yay) Its the same style kit as the Whiteline one anyway, and without a press for get it... Lucky we have one here.... I pushed 2 sets out yesterday myself..
  11. Let me rephrase that.............. Skylines have coil overs standard, the coil springs go OVER the shocks absorbers. So coil overs are NOT and NEVER will be illegal. Citroens have had in cabin height adjustment for over 40 years, so that can hardly be illegal. Mercedes had and still do have height adjustment via aribags. Plenty of late 70's Jap cars had in cabin adjustable shocks, so that can hardly be illegal. What then is illegal? It is spelt out in the ADR's, too low (100 mm minimum) and less than 2/3rds of the original suspension travel. Simplistically, if your R32/33/34 is lower than 355 mm at the front and 345 mm at the rear then it pretty much guaranteed to be illegal. Back to the original answer, for less money you can buy a much better shock absorber than a Tein. Cheers
  12. As above Showed dad, but they just aren't worth it... Look at the best suspension shops, they don't use laser aligners either
  13. I can fix it easily. Common problem, Nissan have 2 rear crossmembers they use on R32s.. I don't know the reasons why, and they is no telling which models have it.... I can supply the correct rear sway bars if anyone requires them.
  14. Woot, hell yeah!!
  15. Hi Carl Unfortunately my phone died in the ass on Saturday 1. Well, unless Whiteline have supplied the wrong parts in the kit, KCA349 is the correct part number, and we've sold plenty of them for S15s. I suggest either the bushes are wrong (unlikely) in the right kit, or they didn't actually know what they were doing with the kit (not the first time). Simply put, it should fit, and that worries me a little, especially knowing who installed the rest of the kit. 2. Again, KCA414 is thwe right part number for an S15... as above 3. May not have been required technically, but should fit, again, as above, it is correct for the car 4. That was my fault... Mistake made by me Issue 5 Worries me, because we haven't had this issue before. It has the same rear end as a skyline, so its not all that unique. My opinion - spring seat upside down is a common one.... But without seeing it, I can't diagnose. My whole opinion is basically as above - It sounds to me like they just simply haven't done many nissans, and we've not come across this many issues with the correct part number supplied. Either they couldn't work it out, or they had no idea, I don't know. Solutions - I might just have to fix it myself, because the people who should have done this properly haven't, and that disappoints me. And Carl, check email and call me please. Cheers Matt
  16. Roughly a week mate, PM me
  17. Howdy all I need some help Firstly, I need 1, 2, 3 or 4 of these Sparco NT-II wheels in any colour. Need to be 17 x 8 or 17 x 9 in 114.3 format Do not need rubber if they are wheels alone, or will take rubber if required. I am happy to buy one, two or a full set if required. They look like this Secondly, for an R33 coupe, I'd love a rear parcel shelf if anyone had one for 6 x 9 speakers, and a sub box to fit under the parcel shelf... And a boot floor and divider Cheers Matt
  18. Put me down for a handbrake and shifter for a series 1.5 R33 please.
  19. 1 degree negative is much better on the tyres than 2 degrees
  20. I believe it is basically the same sort of kit
  21. Flowing. I can pretty much have anything, anywhere, in 5-10 working days - had a few hiccups this week for some guys, but 5-10 days. My only dilema is stagea front springs...
  22. There's only one way to get a swaybar for a cefiro mate. I expect you called Whiteline yesterday, then called 96030100 - if so, then you need to PM me and I will organise a pair of swaybars for you. The front bar on the ceffy is unique
  23. Good to hear. Do have to ask - opinion of final set up?
