  1. 160 lbs/inch (3 kg/mm). I assume they are progressive wound? If so how many coils are wound close? With that info I can work out the high rate. cheers
  2. Don't feel under privileged, Whiteline aren't doing any Group 4, any more. cheers
  3. What model of MSD 4? Hopefully MSD DIS 4 HO. Do you only have one? Because that means you have to run wasted spark using 3 of the 4 channels. MSD are V8 centric, so almost everything is in multiples to suite 8 cylinders eg; 2 x MSD4 = 8 cylinders. cheers
  4. I am off to Bathurst tomorrow for the 12 Hour race, the race team is running (not a Skyline) and I have to do my Team Manager thing. I will be back on Tuesday, so please excuse the slow responses to posts and PM's. cheers

  11. One of the drawers in my home office filing cabinets is full of confidentiality agreements. That’s how much people protect their IP these days. No change in the Group Buy stabiliser bars on the horizon. I am very happy with their function. They come complete with everything you need to fit them. So order away, with total confidence. 12. Yes, PM me with your thoughts. cheers
  13. I have the Batmbl Group Buy split dump on the R33GTST, works fine. I recommend wrapping with Thermo Wrap, it makes a noticeable difference to the under bonnet heat. I used to use Magic cats, but I tried a Catco (also Batmbl Group Buy) on the Stagea and it works well. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...c=152367&hl cheers
  14. I have had 5 x Skylines (inc 1 x Stagea) and every one of them had broken exhaust manifold to head studs. Just because they are there, doesn't mean that they aren't broken. The exhaust deposits build up around them and stop them falling out. They break off flush with the head, at the thread to shank joint (as usual) and are a bitch to remove. Drill and easy out being the only method I know. If you do replace them, make sure you Locktite the new ones into the head. cheers
  15. That'll be interesting to see. cheers
  16. I spent most of the weekend replacing the cracked manifold (pictures to follow), fitting the turbo and the split dump. I also did a bit of general maintenance at the same time, replaced some broken bolts, tidied up the intercooler joiners and clamps plus cleaned and re-oiled the Pipercross airfilter. I didn’t finish till late last night, so no time for tuning. Just a quick drive to make sure it moved. Extreme R&R at 1.5 bar (oooooops) , so I reset the IEBC to 100% duty cycle which gave around 1 bar. Still a little R&R, but it’s plenty quick, before the standard ECU kills the fun. The GCG Ball Bearing high flow (ex R32GTST) I put on had a 10 psi (R32GTST) wastegate actuator, compared to the 4/5 psi one that the Stagea comes with standard. First I flicked the IEBC over to the low boost setting of 8 psi (high was 10 psi to perserve the ceramic turbine), but that wasn't anywhere near enough to drop the boost from 1.5 bar down to a more R&R friendly 12 psi or so. I ran out of time (and energy) to decrease the size of the vent, maybe tonight. Although I doubt it, I have some suspension set up to do on the race team car (not a Skyline) for the Bathurst 12 Hour next weekend. I still have the IEBC set to keep the wastegate closed for as long as possible, so it develops 0.5 bar at 2,500 rpm at 1 bar at 3,000 rpm. I will be able to improve that with the SITC as it can now take some more ignition advance, up to almost 3,000 rpm. Plus a bit of A/F ratio tuning will help as well. If I can get 0.5 bar at 2,000 rpm and 1 bar at say 2,600 rpm I will be happy. The Performance Metalcraft split dump (also ex R32GTST) has added a nice rumble to the exhaust, much more than I remember it doing to the RB20DET when I fitted it to it. I ordered the split dump with an extra lambda sensor fitting, so it much easier to tune as the standard lambda sensor can stay in situ. So the hard (dirty) work is almost done, now it’s time for some tuning (clean) work. I seem much more at home with the laptop these days than the spanners. This pretty much completes the list of mods I had in mind for the Stagea, maybe a adjustable fuel pressure regulator will be required to make the power target. Just some tuning to go. I will post up the SITC and DFA settings, plus the vent size change required and the IEBC mapping once I am happy with the results. cheers
  17. Try the R33GTST Group Buy http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=85467 cheers
  18. This Group Buy is still on. The only time I will close it is when Bilstein Australia run out of stock of shocks. cheers
  19. Hi Roy, I can whip the Bilsteins on the dyno if you want, just let me know. We have the specs of brand new (out of the box) Bilsteins to compare to. I can also arrange for them to be revalved to more suite the uses that you put them to. You know the problem, you are going to have to pay 10 times as much to get anything better. Is that rear toe out or toe in 2mm? If toe out then that is definitely a problem, if toe in then I would suggest increasing to the recommended 2mm each side. cheers
  20. Group Buy stabiliser bars are unique, in both the combination of diameters and addtional adjustment wherever that is possible. I have been doing heaps of engineering work and yes, there are some new (additonal) items on the horizon. The main item I am working on is the R32 front camber adjustment (as you know), plus rear, replacement subframe bushes and some other addtional polyurethane bushes for those areas not already covered. Very shortly I will be able to offer, on the Group Buy, exchange control arms and radius rods, with the bushes already fitted and a nice powder coated finish. Making them a true DIY replacement ie; no need to seek out your local 10 tonne press. And a few other exciting things, that I can't talk about yet. cheers
  21. Whiteline lowered the price after I set up the listing, so the new Group Buy price is Whitelines current price -15%. I confirm all prices in the PM's, so you know exactly what each item costs. Note that Whiteline's online prices exclude GST (so add 10%) plus freight. Cheers
  22. Fuel ecomomy Emmissions, nasty Noise, a legal 92 db with 248's is not going to be legal wiht 272's Soft idle problem (and just up from idle) with air con, electrical and power steering loads Plug fouling Clutch wear, in fact the full drive train, as you have to use higher rpm to get up the torque curve Extra capacity does overcome some of those, for example an RB20 is really weak with 272/280‘s but an RB30 with the same cams is strong at idle and just above. High (static) compression ratio also helps as the extra overlap lowers the (dynamic) compression ratio anyway. cheers
  23. In a plastic bag, in a dark place, under the house is good. cheers
  24. Be aware that using front adjustable upper arms still means that you have rubber bushes in the outer joint on R33's and R34's. Similarly rear adjustable upper arms still mean that you have rubber bushes in the outer joint (R32/33/34). Plus you will need rear traction arms well, and (you guessed it) you will still have rubber bushes in the outer joint. So buying adjustable arms doesn’t get rid of the soft and/or worn out rubber bush problem. cheers
  25. No Theo, that's the "SAU Discount", the next column to the right has what you pay, it's called "SAU Price". Cheers
