  1. Yay! Vange is out and my car is in. I saw it loaded onto the tow truck today. Two new HKS turbos + HKS dumps + major service and I'm back on the road (in my grey GTR). Now I just have to get a starter motor for my Peugeot to get that going again.
  2. I had that happen to me last year. They threw a rock through my drivers window. It took ages to get the glass shards and I didn't let my dog in the car for ages. Cost a bit too by the time I paid for the window, having it fitted and tinted agin. Hope the idiots got their thrills for the 0.1 seconds it lasted.
  3. I had the same problem in one of my GTRs when changing into 4th on high boost. I used the Redline Lightweight Shockproof that Paul mentioned above and it worked a treat. I've never had an issue with the syncros since. It was $35 a litre but well worth it. I'm about to get my other GTR serviced next week and have already stated that I want the gearbox oil changed to Redline. Probably going to use a different Redline oil for the diffs as well.
  4. I was at Tillbrooks the other week while a prospective buyer had them check out my other GTR. I spoke with Mark and was impressed with the fact that they had 5 other GTRs in the workshop. The problem is that they are on the other side of town to me (thus a $80 taxi ride back or multiple buses that I haven't learnt yet - with 4 cars I don't catch the buses in Adelaide any more). I have also heard of so many people (1st hand) having bad experiences at Tillbrooks that I'm not inclined to go so far out of my way. EDIT: 3 cars now. My Bentley was killed in January.
  5. They didn't come in an HKS box but I received an email before they were sent saying that Greenline repackage everything to avoid theft. The other items all came in a sealed package with HSK labeling. The photo from ebay does look to have a dent or crease in it but not as pronounced as mine. Good points raised there Paul. Thanks. Both you and Tekin have reassured me that I don't need to send this pipe back (thus costing me more and delaying me even further). I did send the more recent photos to Greenline and asked them to cc me with HKS's response. The email I received back said that HKS confirmed the pipe was designed like that via phone.
  6. Yay. I managed to upload the images this time!
  7. Here are some better images of the dent. Can I please get some more opinions now that you can clearly see what I'm referring to.
  8. Spotted Vange's car still at Boostworx. Of course everyone has seen it there over the last 2 weeks but now it's forced me to wait for my turbos & dumps to be fitted as Shaun postponed work on my car until next week. I've since ordered my Vange voodoo doll.
  9. Thanks Paul. It seems strange to have such a large dent as it does narrow the pipe considerably on the inside and I would have thought that would have an effect on the efficiency of the design.
  10. Unfortunately it's a crap photo. That's just the actual image not the pipe itself. The pipe itself is smooth and even, it just has a dent in it. I don't have a digital camera so my mate took those images. I might try and get some better images.
  11. Hi All, I recently took delivery of an HKS Extension kit (dump pipes) from Greenline. Upon inspection I noticed that one of the pipes has a large 4cmx2cm dent in it. I compared it to the other dump pipe which does not have a similar dent but is a slightly different design. I took it to Boostworx in SA where I have booked the car in to get the dumps + new HKS GTSS turbos fitted and asked them if the dent was designed like that. They said no. I wrote to Greenline and provided the following pics but received this response: "Hi David, Hope you are well. We have confirmed that the "dents" in the pipe are normal and part of the design. Please let us know if you require further information or assistance. Kind regards, Jason Greenline Motorsports" My question is: Is this dented dump pipe part of the HKS design or has it been damaged in some way? **EDIT: BETTER IMAGES IN A POST BELOW **
  12. Cheers. I liked your 4 door. Good luck if you decide to sell it. Looks like I have to send the HKS dump pipes back to Japan which means I have to wait even longer for my new turbos to be fitted
  13. I've bought two gearknobs from SAU group buys. One gearknob never showed up - probably Australia Post's fault but the guy who organised the group buy failed to ensure the items were correctly posted on two occasions. The other gearknob was faulty and this wasn't mentioned in the original description. I ended up getting the gearknob from Greenline. 3rd time lucky. Haven't bought anything else from SAU but that doesn't mean I won't.
  14. Can you post up some photos?
  15. Take the valves out of all four of their tyres. This way all four tyres deflate but you're not actually damaging something ie it's a pain in the arse for them but they don't have to fork out $600+ for a complete set of tyres. A few reasons for this: - it might not have been the owner of the car that threw the bottle and s/he might have had a go at their passenger for doing so (that has happened to me were a 'mate' decided to throw shit at people from the safety of the passenger seat of my car. Needless to say he was abused severely by me) - Some people put their car before other expenses they judge as less important... like vaccinations for their baby who later gets really ill... I know of this happening! - revenge could just lead bad karma your way Back on topic I was in a serious car crash in January and heaps of people stopped and tried to help. No one really did anything outstanding but just having someone talking to me kept me from going into shock until the parrametics arrived. People do still care but are afraid to get involved if their own safety is at risk. I'm not sure I'd chase down a vehicle containing people who forced you off the road just for beeping at them.
  16. Hi Andrew, I REALLY want this GTR driver seat and can get it collected in Melbourne tomorrow night only. I have sent you multiple PM and emails. Please respond!
  17. I can organise collection this Thursday for the drivers seat. I have sent you a PM and an email. Please get back to me.
  18. Could you please list the VIN to enable confirmation that it is a genuine V-Spec II. It doesn't have the V-Spec II label, rims, rear spoiler or front lip but you could have removed all of these items. It does look like it has the Brembo brakes though.
  19. I'm researching car alarms at the moment as I need 2. I found this page from NRMA useful as it lists brand names and model numbers of alarms that comply with Australian standards and estimated price for the fitted units. http://www.nrma.com.au/pub/nrma/motor/car-...ar/alarms.shtml
  20. I want the drivers seat DFAULT wants the passenger seat AWDMAT wants the rear seats If we pay $200 each then extrememgtr gets the $600 asking price. Both DFAULT and AWDMAT live in Melb and can pick up their seats. I'm in Adelaide but can arrange freight from this end. Everyones happy! How does that sound?
  21. Drive your GTR around Melbourne long enough and I'm sure you'll pick up a car-s**t who'll take your virginity.
  22. Has anyone received a response regarding this car and the bits people are after?
  23. Where are you located? Are you willing to separate as I'm only after a GTR driver's seat?
  24. If you do a search you will find this topic has been covered a few times in SA. The threads might be over a year old though. Anyway I had Best Enterprise at Dry Creek comply all three of my cars that I brought in under the 15 year rule. Costs varied but assume at least $1200 up to $2000+ depending if your car has any damage to the guard rails etc. Best Enterprise weren't the cheapest but they do a good job with minimal stress to you.
  25. Further to this topic question what power, boost and standard parts were people running when their engine (RB26) died?
