  1. Spotted Vange's R33 in at Boostworx with it's skirt up.
  2. I'd take the McLaren F1 as well. But between the DBS and the F430 I'd have the DBS. It's simply gorgeous and I have a GTR for pure performance (maybe I'd upgrade the R32 to an R34 Nur M-Spec until the new model is released). Beep beep beep... beep beep beep *awakes*
  3. That's the one I'm selling. My real GTR is waiting on new HKS turbos from Nengun. What are you expecting/hoping to get at the wheels?
  4. I was looking at your engine bay thinking there was a lot of stuff in there. I was hoping to see the beast have a dyno run. I was wearing the Barca football top and cap. Sorry, I should have said hello. That was my white R32 GTR that Troy was working on.
  5. Was that yours in the dyno room this afternoon? Were you in the camo gear?
  6. I went EMS Special for my turbos from Nengun. I ordered HKS dumps and NISMO gearknob today from Greenline (my NISMO gearknob from the SAU groupbuy never turned up ). Interestingly whilst Greeenline had the cheapest prices the official quote from them was exactly the same as Nengun's. Greenline's shipping with EMS was dearer than Nengun's and the exchange rate they use is less favourable for Australian buyers. However, I still went with Greenline for the dumps and knob to try another vender.
  7. Dude, you should know that Blitz will come on here soon and threaten to close your thread unless you list prices for each part as per forum rules.
  8. I haven't received a response from my last email... I'm losing hope that I'll be able to buy such a 'bargain' And he was so prompt in suggesting I pay the money while he ships the car back here for me to inspect. Oh well. Maybe I'll send another email requesting details of the shipping company he used to go from Adelaide to Budapest.
  9. I got the same email and have sent this reply. I'm only pissed as must have had my 'proper' email listed on ebay and not the one I have set up for dodgy internet stuff. Hi George, Thankyou for your prompt reply to my enquiry. It seems rather impractical to send the car half way round the world for an inspection. I have family members in Vienna - whom I have already contacted via instant messanger- who would be more than happy to drive to Budapest and inspect the car. If you can provide me with a phone number, an address and times when the GTR would be available to view I can pass it on. My cousin is a mechanic who builds and races BMWs and is very knowledgable about cars. This would save you a lot of time and hassle of organising shipping and insurance to Australia. Perhaps you could also forward some recent photos of the car in Budapest. I have never been there and would love to see shots of the GTR surrounded by the city. Can you confirm how many doors the vehicle has as your description on ebay says 4 but I can only count two in the photos. Certainly a 4 door GTR is extremely rare but you've already stated how unique this car is. Thanks David Yes I have too much time on my hands atm.
  10. Is it even a V-Spec? There is no badge on the rear and it doesn't appear to have the carbon fibre diffuser (although I know these are often removed). IAs I live in Adelaide I asked the seller if I could view the vehicle to assertain its condition/existence.
  11. I just did a price comparison (in Yen) between Nengun, Perfect Run & Greenline of a kit list I'm about to order and found each place had some items cheaper than the others. Interestingly Nengun were only the cheapest on the HKS GTSS turbo kit (but considerably so) and the PFC. Greenline had the cheapest SARD 700cc injectors, Nismo gearknob, HKS dumps, Tomei Poncams + pulley set, and Tomei sump baffle. Nengun & Greenline had the same price for the Tomei manifolds. Perfect Run had the cheapest prices for a Nismo fuel pump and AFMs. According to their website, Perfect Run don't stock Tomei parts. This just reinforces the point a few people have made here to shop around! Nengun are not always the cheapest and you may end up waiting for parts that you paid more for.
  12. Huh? Are you making stuff up? Ronaldo? Anyway I agree with nearly everything you said. Kossie should be sent packing and Aloisi should retire. They represent the leadership of the club and both were in the stands 30mins into the game because they can't control themselves. What kind of example does that set. Veart should go, maybe Fernando (his finals series was poor), maybe Ritchie. Make Ang captain and play Spag, Burns, Bruce, Owens, Dodd etc. I'd rather see young players develop and improve than old guys get slower and play worse each match. Melbourne were the better team all season and much better on the day. I think if everything that went against the Reds was reversed and every decision went their way they still would have lost - albeit by alot less - but Melbourne were too good. At least we can try and win some pride back in the Asian Champions League.
  13. If you do decide to sell it as bits I'm after the rear drivers side trim piece, front mats, rear view mirror and passenger door trim. Let me know. Thanks
  14. Signed - although it could be worded better.
  15. Actually I remember reading that Germany has more kilometres of actual roadways than Australia and most other contries. Enough to go around the equator 5 times IIRC. Although Germany itself is smaller than Australia it's still pretty bloody big.
  16. I agree 100% with going back to the old speed limits. Near me there are parallel roads that alternate between 50 & 60 zones. Same as going into the city through the parklands. I never remember which road is 50 and which is 60. But it's cheaper to fit a new sign than actually repair the roads.
  17. For any southeners who intend to watch the game about 30 or so fans went to the Woodcroft tavern last MV vs AU match. I imagine there will be more this week. GO REDS!!!
  18. The German autobarns are brilliant! I took a Porsche Cayman up to 250kmph legally on them last June. The roads are a lot better - both in terms of surface quality, signage (easier to read whilst travelling at speed/ no speed limit changes every 100m), barriers and stopping lanes. You're also not contantly looking for speed cameras hidden on the side of the road (I wonder how many rear enders have been caused by this?). The German motorists are also better drivers IMO and are definately more courtious. Their cars are also better. I doubt too many Australian built cars would be safe at 250kmph. I used to work for a company that wrote the program for red light cameras in SA and they have a fault when operating temperatures reach above 36 degrees (IIRC). Something to bear in mind as the cameras are usually left in direct sunlight.
  19. Just to be nice and let them know that I'm thinking of them. I'm friends with all my ex's. Only ever had one ugly break-up and that was because I was an 18yo wanker... and she cheated on me. But I still say hi and genuinely wish her well so all's good there now as well.
  20. I was sent this link this morning: http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/story/0...5006301,00.html 'Sin bin' snaps 350 motorists in a day TOM ZED February 15, 2007 01:15am WHEELIE bins hiding speed cameras are catching hundreds of speeding drivers without warning. (Want to post a comment on this story? AdelaideNow would like to hear what you have to say. So scroll to the comment box below and post your point of view.) Motorists at Echunga last Sunday were caught out by a speed camera hidden in a green wheelie bin. The operator of the camera, who was sitting in a parked car about 100m away, told a member of the public that he had caught about 350 people speeding during the day. A spokeswoman for Police Commissioner Mal Hyde confirmed that hidden speed cameras had been operating in the area over the weekend but could not confirm how many drivers had been caught speeding. Speed camera operators are part of SAPOL's police security section and are not police officers. The spokeswoman said covert speed cameras had been part of SA Police's anti-speeding strategy for several years. "We use a number of different camouflages and disguises for our covert operations to suit the purpose," she said. "There are a whole lot of different housings that we use for cameras. "There's obviously no secret that we are using covert cameras. We can't say what we use to hide cameras because that would ruin the whole point of them being covert." The spokeswoman said the camera used at Echunga over the weekend was not the same type trialled in the city early last year, although that camera had also been referred to as a "wheelie-bin" camera. The German-imported "container camera" was housed in a grey, steel box on wheels and was about the same size as a wheelie bin. When police were questioned about the introduction of this camera, a spokeswoman denied it would look like a domestic wheelie bin. But no reference was made of the operations of the bin which was photographed by an Advertiser reader at the weekend. SA Federation of Residents and Ratepayers Association president Kevin Kaeding said hiding speed cameras in wheelie bins was "deceitful". "I don't know if you could get much lower than that," he said. "It should be totally outlawed. Speed cameras should be visual. "The warning should be made that there are cameras there and if you do speed, then you will pay. "With the camera hidden, people will still speed but with cameras in the open and with warnings out there, people will slow down. "You have to ask if they are there to save lives or just to revenue-raise and in this case, it looks like it's just revenue raising."
  21. Is that the M3 CSL front bar? What other mods does it have? I can see the headlight brows.
  22. I'm about to order my kit from Nengun but the list comes to $6700. Any advice on how to get this stuff into Australia an incur the smallest amount of customs possible? ie Do I pay for each item separately and therefore have most invoices for less than $1,000. Do I ask Nengun to send all the items separately? This would most likely cost more in postage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Over Clocking
  24. Spotted a silver R33 heading to Boostworx (I'm guessing) as went around the roundabout after just leaving Boostworx.
  25. I'm single so I just sent 'Happy Valentines Day' emails to female friends, exs and hopefully one or two futures. Oh... and my dog gave me a sloppy kiss... but he's a guy... but he's had the chop...hey man love rules ok (That is a reference to the funniest Top Gear episode ever - s9e03 (on BBC not SBS that's season 7)).
