  1. Heaps more to come but I need a break.
  2. Sorry for taking so long to post these pictures but I honestly only saw them for the first time last Friday. Anyway, here are some pics from The Ring!
  3. No, although Richmond Rd ends at the intersection as a main road (two lanes each way) and continues as a smaller road on the other side (one lane each way).
  4. For those in SA who know the roads - I was heading south down Marion Rd (the middle photo shows south bound traffic). The Falcon was heading west on Richmond Rd. They hit me and forced me across 4 lanes of traffic ie the outer lane heading south, the turn right lane & and the two north bound lanes on Marion Rd. From the last photo you can see that they ended up on the island in the middle of the road (you can see the marks on the road) and I ended up in the wire fence on the other side of the road. The first photo shows where I hit the curb and went into the fence stopping about 1 metre in front of that big tree.
  5. It was a female driver with a male passenger that hit me. They were taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital aswell and were worse off than me. I asked about them about 10 times but wasn't given any information. At the crash site I could hear the woman screaming in pain and a guy who stopped said there was blood all over her car. After shots
  6. Some of you may know that apart from owning two R32 GTRs and a 1991 Peugeot 205 GTI (as my daily driver) I also cruise around in a 1989 Bentley Eight. For the last couple of weeks I have been using the Bentley as my daily driver as the Pug needs work, one GTR is sold (awaiting $) and the other has a blown turbo. Anyway last Wednesday night I was returning home from a business meeting at about 9-9:30 pm when I was T-boned by an old EB Falcon. The Falcon hit the front left panel and then spun around 90 degrees and smashed into the rear left panel. I was forced over 4 lanes of traffic (two with oncoming traffic), over the curb, across the footpath and partial through a wire fence on the other side of the road. The facts are that I had NOT been drinking or taking any other substances, I was travelling between 60-62 kmph in a 60 zone, I was wearing my seatbelt and the other car hit me. What is in dispute (ie my word vs theirs) is who ran a red light. There were three witnesses but all put the wrong car on the wrong road heading in the wrong direction. Please do not make reference to fault as this is yet to be determined by the investigating officer and I do not want to impair any legal proceedings. I spent the first night in hospital and the last 3 nights at my mates parents place as his mum is a nurse and nearly my entire family live overseas. If I can figure out how to post images I'll add some before and after photos. PS - the Bentley was a 1989 model and had only travelled 51,360 km. What an inglorious death. An old Merc would have been more fitting.
  7. Dennis, I was investigating the UAS brake upgrade over a year ago and after a fair bit of research I decided not to go with it. I can't remember all of the reasons now but I know there was brake pad overhang and I ended up in WRX forums, reading alot of posts by Sydneykid and others in the braking and suspension section (just noticed you posted there). In the end I ordered standard size DBA 4000 slotted rotors, Ferodo DS2500 pads & Castrol SRF brake fluid. I had already put on new braided brake lines when I first brought the GTR into Australia. I still use the standard calipers. This setup improved the braking performance of my GTR alot but my coilovers seized the very night I picked up the car and went on a SAU cruise up near Gawler. So there was another fair gap before it was on the road again.
  8. I bought three cars from Geoff at Prestige. The estimates he gave me were a long way off. Each car ended up going $6,000 over budget (for a total of $18,000). Some of the expenses could not have been foreseen and therefore I don't hold Prestige responsible. Some were. For example the airconditioners hadn't been degassed on any of the cars. I had paid for this to be done on two and the other was purchased and put in storage before the law came into effect (but was not exempt from it). Prestige did refund the amount I had paid for the a/c to be degassed but the Dept of Environment and Heritage (SA) held the car back for 4-5 weeks in customs. This ended up costing me $1,200 in storage fees. The degassing and regassing cost about $350 in Australia as opposed to the $120 I had paid for it to be done in Japan. Geoff also told me it was imposssible to degass the car which was already in storage but someone managed to get to the car and post the stereo headunit and GReddy Profec B Boost controller (I was appreciative of this) before it was loaded on a ship. Having said all this all three cars are great cars - one R32 GTR being brilliant. The whole exercisde just cost a $hitload more than I had budgetted for. Would I use Prestige again... probably not. But I do check their website and look at the cars available. PS - if you go on the mailing lists for J-Spec & Prestige you will find that they send out emails on the same cars most of the time.
  9. I might be able to help with some long necks. I'd only have a few personally but two of my mates tend to buy them and I know they haven't returned the empties for some time now. I'll ask next time I speak with them. How many do you want?
  10. I'm interested to do something like this but my GTR will be off the road until March as I can't get the HKS GTSS turbos until late January and then have to wait for postage from Japan and then get them fitted. Otherwise I could push the car around the track but I doubt that would be as much fun.
  11. I was there on Wednesday in the white GTR - good spot!
  12. Another Skyline from Happy Valley although my GTR currently lives (on life support) at Glengowrie.
  13. No longer needed
  14. PM responded to.
  15. Won't consider a trade as I have 4 cars already am need to unload some before I can move interstate. I would consider selling the Recaro driver's seat so long as I had a standard GTR seat to replace it. I can't sell a car with no front seat - makes it kind of difficult to test drive.
  16. I have new images and will upload them shortly.
  17. This car is for sale again after finances fell through for last buyer.
  18. I went to KI earlier this year for the first time. Great place but I wouldn't want to take my GTR there. Roads weren't great and the chance of hitting wildlife is very high.
  19. Interested in 2 x AFM. PM me deposit details please.
  20. The answer was ignorance. I knew nothing about D-Jetro Power FCs and hadn't done the research. I've read up on them since. Still haven't finalised what I need and therefore haven't ordered anything yet. Also waiting on results from leakdown test on engine before I order anything.
  21. Cheers. PM sent.
  22. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the following kit: HKS GT-SS $2830 HKS Dump pipes $544 Apexi Power FC + HC $887 NISMO Fuel pump $436 NISMO Fuel regulator $135 SARD 700cc injectors $620 2x Z32 AFM $660 2x Tomei AFM adapter $49 Freight $412 Total - $6573 + labour and tuning. Everything but the AFM are from Nengun. AFM from Just Jap SAU group buy. Anything I haven't included that is crucial? Anything I should be wary of when getting stuff from Nengun? What are the warranties on these items? Edited due to my ignornace on ECUs. Just another thing to read about (I was getting lazy).
  23. Just had a chat with Shaun at Boostworx. The leakdown test is scheduled for this afternoon so we'll see the engine's health. Shaun suggested adding stainless steel manifolds to the kit list. Thoughts? Is this what he is refering to? If so that's another $3k! http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/494
  24. Just spoke with Troy and Shaun and neither really care about AFL so not fussed. Shaun didn't seem too concerned if the final caused numbers to be slightly reduced either. He said they might put a TV up for those with some interest.
