  1. Hi guys just trying to get an idea on what a crank would cost me if i was to go to an aftermarket item. i believe JUN use to make one not sure if they still do.That title was ment to say who sells aftermarket cranks.
  2. My mates honda uses a 3540 with a t04R front wheel in a larger comp cover. works very well. XTR sell the turbo.
  3. 50mm should be fine, run a bit more boost and see what happens. you could always just stick another wastegate on for good measure. the Tial 44m are a very good unit!
  4. Its just so much fun getting the car to go so fast at the second half of the track. And yes we will start to concerntrate on the ET's. We are going to try to find a sponsor for the car, which will enable us to get the front end sorted .

  6. The front end will cost us about 3k to get sorted where as we believe there is a good 100kw more in the power side of things.   8. Thanks for that, anout time someone was keen to see how the kits goes on a built engine. I might stick in a set of jun titaium retainers soon after the kit goes in so we can rev it out to say 9500.

  10. My brothes car will be entered it's wrx it didn't cost 100,000+ it should be around the 1.05.
  11. Just let you all know that the sort of cars that will be at the track for this day will be around the 1.05 mark. i believe a ff that does 1.09 will be there also. Cheers
  12. Its running DMS coilovers all round. Its the drive shafts and hubs wich are holding the car back. as for why add power, because we can. if we can get a higher mph it will give us an idea on what et that are possible once we get the front end sorted.

Sorry for the slow reply. the reason we went with the T88 is because we were maxing out the GT-SS we believe, and our engine was built for 800hp. with the T88 onboard we will rev the engine up to 9500rpm were as now its only 8500rpm. The 33d is the smallest so, with our engine combo it might not be as laggy as some think. All we know is no one who has a engine the as the same spec as ours has gone from GT-SS's to a 33D turbo kit, I'm looking foward to seeing what the results are. Yes there will be more lag but a GTR engine was designed to rev. With our SS turbos max power was at 7500rpm. I'm sure the max power of the 33D is about 850-880ps. We will be running up the car with the JUN plenum then with the Hypertune plenum and 97mm TB. we may also be going to a 150mm intercooler as well.
  14. We have good rubber. bfgoodrich 225/50/15.drag ta. its our stock shafts and hubs which keeps me to doing slow launches. I'll post up all the states tommorow. I'd love to crack over 135mph with those tires some day also.
  15. I thought i would just add that we saw 10,950 RPM last night. so if you saw the car run and wondered why the car sounds like it does, thats the reason.
  16. Hi guys back out at the creek again. This time with 311kw at the wheels. I'm still having a little bit of trouble off the line. the only spot on pass i did i managed the 12.0 at 128mph. Next time we do out we don't want anything less than 133mph. before anyone says you won't get that, we will run another 5 psi on top of what we had before. Also on the 12.0 we ran with 18psi next time we wil drop it to 15 as thats the pressure we ran on the last two. one my last run i forgot to put the traction control back on, this resulted in lots and lots of wheel spin all the way down the track untill i got into forth. as for wheel spin, yes with the traction control on it still does spin through third but we limit it with the motec.   17. Hi huys for now we are going with a T88 kit which we purchased from doughboy, off this forum. Again anyone how has delt with chris will know that he has to be one of the best peopl eto deal with when buying car parts. Thanks again Chris. anyway we purchased a T88-33D kit with a Sard wastegate. We are just getting the kit cleaned and, sandblasted and then ceramic coated. I'll get some photos up once the kit is put back together all nice and clean. I thinkthis will be a good test to see what the results are like compared to GT-SS turbos to the T88. Cheers

  19. Yes it was the black one , but no it does not run slicks. just bf drag/street radials. it was running about 260kw at the wheels when i ran next week we should have over 330kw. we will be running elf race fuel and more boost.

  21. I know lag is a big thing, but if power hits at 5000rpm thats fine beause we will be reving it out to 9000rpm The guys down at Hypertune will be performing all the work on the car, They have been in cars with these turbos, and asure me with the right tune make 800hp no worries.
  22. This kit is good for 10 sec passes!
  23. Its normal use is just for driving to work and so on. but for us to make 367kw we have to run 27psi i know the turbos will have more lag but as someone else said 20psi on those turbos should make around 450kw.
  24. When people talk single 3037s they normally have a large housing like WRX i know wich has a 1.12 ex housing where as for a street GTR we would run twin .74. i don't want to run big boost either that why i want a slightly larger turbo. I'm looking a t running about 15-20psi.
  25. I'll just straighten the whole Hypertune scene out. Hypertune used to share the same facility as BD4's, they were never the same company. BD4's never worked on any of Hypertunes cars, where as Hypertune did a lot of work on BD4's cars. As for Hypertune i get a lot of work performed by the guys down there at Taren point. They produce all of their own gear using CNC mills and CNC mandrel benders. I'm sure they won't mind if you go round to their factory to see what they do. As for 3037's being a bit laggy has anyone got experience with these turbos? any help would be great. Cheers
