  1. Royal Purple, Lucas, Fuschs, and Red Line Synthetic oils, all of which are an esther based full synthetics all of which you can get a 10-40w in ideal for rb's. These are all oils myself and my old man have experience with and in my opinion nothing comes close, for a high end oil. I believe they are the best oils on the market except Repsol could be in there but i cant get that anywhere to give it a trial.
  2. look out for our crew we will be there on sat and sun, pink/plum 13b datsun 1600, teal fj20 1600, kermit green fj20 1600, yellow fj20 1600, gtr blue fj20 1600, and a lonely charcoal datsun 1000, hope to see some of you guys there, so come and say gday!!!!
  3. do they make them for gtst's ???
  4. I dont know how old this thread is it was sent to me by another member, but i have personally made my own block adaptor/girddle to perform the rb26 sump rb30 block conversion and although the car is not running that has no bearing on the fact my solution works and is cheap. There are a few minor issues that need to be addressed but even if you payed the most ridiculous labour prices i can't see the price of making the engine fit the sump using my plate coming out and anymore than $1300-1500 including the plate!!!
  5. wilwood pedal boxes are the shizzle. I ahve ordered one for my gtr the tripple master cyclinder with reverse top mount. I want be using a booster on either the brake or clutch and for the price they are a bargain. I will probably be welding in custom mounts for it i dont know yet but i know there will have to be a fair amount of modification to get it all working!!!
  6. i have put 2 on r33 gtst's and thay are bloody awesome. They have an unbelievable level of craftsmenship and are finished off really well plus they work a treat too, i recomend them over the jap stuff as they are usually biiger and are better finsihed off and are Australian...
  7. NXTIME I know to let the pumps prime up but another problem i had was with some aftermarket computers such as motec, haltecs and autronic they run a full cycle pre sensor which means they let the car crank over a few times then info goes back to the computer then they send out the injector and spark pulses ect. very difficult when you have alot of stuff especially in a GTR for the little lead batteries to keep up. Just to clarify my earlier post not having a go at anyone!!
  8. i have 2 spare stock computers you can try if you think it might be that!!
  9. i have an odysee in my gtr it was a 700 cranking amp unit and the problem with oddysee's is they dont maintain there cranking output for very long, as soon as you crank it over for more than 5 seconds they loose there power so quick mine runs flat after about 20-30 seconds of cranking which is a pain with aftermarket fuel pumps. I now run the optima which is a biiger unit in size but still 700 ca and it never runs out it is far superior in my opinion!!!
  10. if you are checking the injector cycle with a a test light to the ametuer it looks like they are ****ed cause you would think they need a power pulse or a constant power to fire them but this isnt the case on a gtr. I cant remember its been a while but i think there is a constant earth and the computer provides a week power pulse, its been a while but i remember when i first checked a set i thought they were stuffed cause they didnt work how i expected them to.... best thing is to take the rail out leaving the injector sin and wired and turn it over and see if they are working or not!!!
  11. oils anint oils, sorry had to be done!!!
  12. I have used penrite in my silvias and it seemed good but i ran the gtr on motul or fuschs. As a side note the shell helix you buy off the shelf is not the same as used by ferraris and neither is the mobil 1, the stuff off the shelf isnt a proper esther based sythetic thus it isnt the same sh1t!!!!
  13. i will be there with my mates, i will have my 1000 entered and possibly my 1200.. my mates and bro will have a plum pink 13b 1600, a green fj20t 1600, 2 blu fj20t 1600 and various others it should be a sweet show can't wait...
  14. yeah thats true the width isnt the factor if the rotational diameter is the same attessa will work, do you want me to measure if they are the same????
  15. then i dont think that GTR's attessa 4wd would be working very well then!!!!
  16. a dry sump set up in my GTR, if i made it all myself just used the pump and bought the resevior and all the fittings and made the custom sump and pickups needed was going to set me back around $4000, so in a shop budget for aroun 6g as a reasonable price!!! WHen i get home i will post up some pics of my sump that i have been building will trap doors, it holds 10 litres!!
  17. then i dont think that GTR's attessa 4wd would be working very well then!!!!
  18. price is neg so dont be put off if your close!!!!
  19. they will bolt up to all skylines 32,33,34, but as mentioned you need the same size front and rear on a gtr!!!
