  1. nitto gasket set, with vht copper gasket spray. unless there is a big gouge out of the face, you will be ok.
  2. no, you may need to get a new crank. besides at that depth, all the induction hardening is gone.
  3. the m800 can do everything. it may of been installed that way for racing regulation regarding the standard ecu still being used. any dyno shop should be able to patch in the rest of the motec to do the lot. my offer is still on the table should the quote be excesive. dave.
  4. you cant. stock ecu would be a start with a nistune. in a r32 ecu with r32 02 sensors. or, use the motec for everything. they dont come much better than a motec. or i will send you a plug in haltech platnium and you can send me your motec k thanx:)
  5. not tru during many race seasons i had a driver who insisted on nitrogen. so we abliged, the pressure change was markedly higher than air from a compressor. the ONLY advantage is being able to have repeatable results. having the same air in the tyre each race. it alows for a quicker set up being able to predict a pressure for a given tyre temp. humidity is the factor with normal compressed air. since the atmosphere is 78% nitrogen anyway. but the fact remains the pressure would raise more with n2. if anyone has some hard data to sugest otherwise. ie: go out 30 psi with a ambiant tyre temp and come in with 30 psi with a 90 deg c tyre i will donate a leg.. n2 in a road car is the biggest WANK ever. and a complete waste of time. and the n2 has to be from a bottle. and to remove any moisture from the air in the tyre already is imposible. mayby if it was filled and deflated and vacumed 100 times you might get 100%n2 in there.
  6. that has not been installed propperly. and a perfect examply why re-usable fittings are ilegal on road cars. id be going back to whoever installed them and gewt them re-done, or replaced for some propper adr compliant swaged ones.
  7. if it is an auto tt ecu, mayby. auto runs mor timing) but just put it in. it will be fine. they are way rich/safe from factory. there is quite a large margin for it. besides the fuel today is a wee bit better than in 1989..
  8. yeah.. makes me wonder how im gonna get my vq35 r32 thru....
  9. the same seller sells top feed conversion kits aswell. i got one for my gf rb25. seems ok. (but get the bosch injectors not the 80lb siemans. )
  10. i have seen the newer dyno dynamics dynos chart like that if they have the diagnostic connecter hooked up to the car, like when the power run is being none the graph is displayed on the screen in 4 or 5 chunks. not a smooth real time plot.
  11. no it doesnt. fyi this kit was 3k back in the day. just what is pictured. lines are -12an and the oil cooler part is dimentionaly the same as a 25 row serek one. it just makes putting a oil cooler on hassel free. (apart from the a/c regas.)
  12. you will need to get a twin dewchwerks 300 pump set up. (cheap) there is room in the tank for them. your injectors will be on the very limit. evan with a pressure increase. ecu, well the link seems to be the top choice atm. do it once and do it propperly. if you are hesatant on buying a new ecu before you have sold your pfc, then i suspect you wont be able to budget it. dyno tuning and setting up the flex fuel compensation maps will take alot of time on the dyno. =$$ untill there is more e85 available id opt for a 3071 or 3076 upgrade instead. your 040 pump is not a good choice. (how does it get to the bottom of the tank? )
  13. put it on ebay? dont have a nismo part number, (as that includes the adapter for the block) but do have the glossy catalogue showing it. here is a pic i found online of same part.
  14. 3.2:1 ish. m35 2.5t (says axle rc 32) unless im mistaken. new crown weel and pinion about 600 usd. fyi r34gtr is 3.54:1
  15. HEY ive got a genuine nismo oil cooler with integrated a/c condensor replaces factory a/c condensor. $650 sydney
  16. changine to softer springs will make them worse. just get the normal ones, as they are much better, still nowhere but much better.
  17. FIT THE STANDARD FAN (the stock fAN AT 1500RPM WILL MOVE DOUBLE THE AIR ANY ELECTRIC FAN WILL. same height. 32 gtr is straight blade and noisy. 33 and on is better.
  18. just recalling past observations. and not bagging the oil used. hard to complain when its free. thanks bud. ps, when the engine enamel on the sump turns brown its getting pretty hot. ps tell him im still waiting for my suer and group cirts from the whole time i was there.
  19. its abit hit and miss as that rpm range canot be acuratly "dynoed" i find wacking in some timing and similar fueling as at idle seems to help. also having a blanket 20 odd degrees around the idle area seems to smoth out a unstable idle. bigger afm,s and non return bov's do make it harder. also raising the decel fuel cut to around 2k helps aswell. on our race car it has no idle control at all. and used to hunt real bad after giving a rev. when i turned off the decel cut it was perfect.
  20. yes it is scary. the work just seems to be dribbling in.
  21. like mensioned a while ago, when i was with the ute team, we had 7 utes to maintain at one point. back then penrite was a major sponsor so we ran penrite everyhting. engine ware was very good. engine failures were rare with majority from over heating. (up to 180deg c oil temp.) 140deg c coolant) the penrite lube sponsorship term ended, and we had to get opur own oils. we got #nited oil for our team. 10w60 syntetic. engine ware was higher and we had a few broken cranks (from spun bearings) and timing chain failures. then #ulon came in to the picture with sponsorship, engine ware and failures were similar. but still acceptable. point of the story is that in my personal opinion and from my own experiance, penrite syn range performed the best in the utes, (no oil coolers, massive rev down changes and pretty much the toughest enviroment for oil i can think of) we uses liquimoly in the race car, 10w60 syn, it fairs ok, but there is 15 litres of it... buty i rekon you could light the fumes from the dry sump tank (very strong alc smell)
