  1. No different turbo mate. The turbo on these are unique and not fitted to anything else AFAIK. Do you really want a 2nd hand turbo anyway? Get yours rebuilt and have peace of mind that it won't blow up anytime soon. my 2c.
  2. So this intake will max out the injectors on most cars with an exhaust and intercooler and standard ecu? I am guessing that it only maxes out the injectors at WOT? WHat does the intake do through the low and mid range of the engine, is there an improvement there or is really only for top end gains? I suppose I'm asking guys who have already done it, what has your experience been notwithstanding you have someone elses intake pipe.
  3. I have tested 19*9.5 +38 with 245/35/19 and they fitted no rubbing no problem at all. I should have bought them!
  4. Yes I have used them a few times they're fine.
  5. Sorry for late reply I ran out of internets. There is no leak in the cooling system etc. I have cleaned the windows a million times and it has no effect. If I run with the aircon then obviously it doesn't happen but generally I like to leave it off and this is the first car I've had where this is an issue. I guess I need to just keep running the aircon but I just find it starnge that it's the only car I've owned where this needs to be done. All good, it's merelu a first world problem.
  6. I can't work out why my windscreen keeps fogging up. The car is garaged every night and it's not wet inside the car but when I arrive at my car at 5:30 at night the windscreen is fogged up. I know it's cold down here but I've never had a car that it happens to as regulalrly as this one. I tried some ani-fog treatment and it made a small difference but very little at all. Any suggestions as to why it's happening and how to stop it? Yes I know about warm air condensing on a cold window!
  7. Ok thanks for the explanation. When do you get boost in 1st gear then? I can't imagine what it's like to drive our cars with a laggy turbo as they seems such slugs until boost kicks in. I imagine yours would be a whole new ball game with a manual box in it. Are you still considering this?
  8. It appears you have very little below 110kmh and all the grunt is top end. Is that how it is to drive and you need to row the gears a bit? Not a criticism just curious what it's like vs the dyno sheet.
  9. It would be interesting to see what happens if you left the fuel and timing settings at factory level with everything else in place. I suspect there would be cuts but if there wasn't it would pose a few more questions and possibly answers on this wonderful ecu of ours.
  10. Are you still running all your other adjustments with the new turbo Leon i.e. the fuel and timing adjustments you had in place with the stock turbo or did you return everything to stock settings with the hi flow until you saw what it was like? So you aren't getting any cuts with the hi flow and your bigger intake?

  14. I wondered what happened! I saw you were 3rd going into the last day and then finished 5th. Time for a 2jz?
  15. Mate you're asking for a huge headache doing that. Look at how BMW engines lean over on the exhaust side and think about where you're going to mount a turbo. As you said then ecu to control it and they also have quite high compression. It will be MUCH cheaper to put the rb engine in there.
  16. Pictahs? Not that I can see them at workbecause all photo's are blocked somehow!
  17. Hey dcdc you should start a thread about your car and the mods complete with pics, no one is going to think you're a wanker considering the amount of work it appears you have done already.
  18. I have the ebay ones from the guy in NZ and they are fine.
  19. No pics sorry I didn't end up buying them. They were Buddy Club P1's or something. I can't remember how much clearance but it wasn't much and they never scraped anywhere when I drove on them. I have factory bilstein suspension and my car is quite low which would have helped as well. Still, I would have bought them if they were in better condition as I didn't think the clearance was an issue but maybe the bilstein stuff is different to the Nismo or other factory suspension, I don't know.
  20. I tried some 19*9.5 +38 on mine with 245/35/19 tyres and they fit perfectly and could even have gone wider on the rear i.e. lower offset.
  21. Maybe the old BOV was leaking a couple of psi of boost???? Is that possible?
  22. I was thinking of running to the reverse switch so that everytime it went into reverse it would reconnect the circuit but I guess thebrake is even better again. Is there any issue with the constant on/off of the brake pedal connecting the circuit?
