  1. These guys are great for mocco's! I just bought my bro in Sydney a pair and he's here tomorrow for the Supercars. http://www.allgoods.com.au/
  2. Well after a lot of time messing around on the net and doing my research I bought this: I thought it would be ideal because it had bluetooth connectivity and was steering wheel remote ready and thanks to Commsman who sourced and supplied the buttons I have steering wheel controls with my cruise control. I did some research and came to the conclusion that this unit was the one for me because it had orange illumination similar to the factory colours. What I didn't take into account was all the usb, aux and mic ports were at the back of the unit and needed to be plumbed into the car somehow. Some more research later and I decided that I need an Xtrail loom to make the steering controls work with my new head unit, so I bought this from the U.K. It actually had ISO plugs on it the loom which I cut off to mate to my JVC loom which I rigged up to put in and test out. So I'm all ready to go, I just have to connect that brown wire at the bottom of the picture to this wire: How easy is that????? Not very it turns out! I pulled my dash apart with some guidance from Jetwreck and the youtube tutorial and went to install it. DOH! The body loom plug is incorrect and because I've hacked the ISO plugs off, I can't send it back. To say I was pissed is an understatement because I was misled, in my opinion, by the ebay seller who said it was plug and play. Anyway, undeterred I tried again with an Aussie seller that was double the price but was assured it was plug and play. When I got the new unit it looked identical to the previous one but with different body plugs(!) and the brown wire was still loose and they had the jack plugs connected. I trusted that it was right and just plugged it all in and the stereo was working, a small win! After driving for a few days I found the radio reception was rubbish and it really annoyed me. Then my luck changed! I got onto these guys: http://www.yellowpages.com.au/tas/launceston/car-accessory-installs-12430245-listing.html Ky went through everything I did and discovered that I hadn't pulled out the FM expander that was there for the Jap spec stereo. So, I pull it all apart again and then drove the car down to them to look at. Ky stopped working on another car and fixed the reception issue by removing the fm expander and looked at the control box and loom I bought and thought that one of the wires was wrong as did I. Anyway, he snipped the jack plug off and connected the brown wire to the blu wire with yellow stripe and success!!!!!! Steering wheel controls work!!!! Pretty. So how much did Car Accessory Installs charge me for this? Not a thing!!! I drove home and put it all back together and routed the ipod plugs and bluetooth microphone through my ashtray. Voila! I am one happy camper right now. I wish I had of taken my car down to Car Accessory Installs in the first place as they have converter boxes that can be tuned to ANY head unit to make your steering controls work as long as the head unit supports it. They also sell all the accessory's required to make it work so a free plug for them. Now I have cruise control which I love and steering controls which work.
  3. Not full time AWD. They are the same ATTESSA as GTR so only AWD when the back wheels slip. Watch your torque meter when you're on a hill and pulling out somewhere it will flick some drive to the front wheels.
  4. What Nismo ecu is this? It's difficult down here as no oe that I know of has tuned E Manage and there are only 3 or 4 dyno's I know of.Getting on the boat makes it a very expensive exercise in the end.
  5. Anyone interested in this again? I would like a re-map as I'm not getting any of the tards in this state to touch my car with an emanage. Do you still have the Japanese translating contact Ryan?
  6. I would get the fuel tank pulled again and check for sand. It may be the case the pump and filter were replaced but the tank not cleaned out. The fuel filter gets clogged with sand and when it stalls the suction stops and sand is released back to the bottom of the tank and it will start again. The pump may be no good again after doing this a few times either. Where did you get the car from is it still under some sort of warranty? Sand in the car like that sounds like it may have been under a bit of water at some stage in its life.
  7. If the fuel pump isn't running then that's the place to start? Are you sure the fuel pump has been replaced? i.e you were just 'told' it was replaced. I reckon it may be pump or injectors especially if there was sand everywhere it may be in the tank wrecking the fuel pump or maybe even a blocked injector or something?
  8. Jetwreck is quite close to Hornsby and is very knowledgable and helpful, send him a PM.
  9. ^^^^^ this is very frustrating. Can we have the quoted post in a text box again or some way to distinguish it from the reply?
  10. The photo's and description don't match at all. THe photo's look like a later model than 2002 stagea particulalrly the headlights etc. Very strange. Have you paid for it?
  11. Isn't X Trail the same or Navara or something?
  12. Should bolt straight up if using RB25 G/box to Rb25 motor. Sandwich plate is only used to mate different engine and gearbox combo's like a toyota engine to Nissan gearbox. Most Nissan stuff is good to go from that era so a Z32 g/box and RB g/box will have the same pattern.
  13. Where did you get the connections from? I'm like you I just want plug and play! SO you don't have the steering conmtrols operational yet?
  14. THat looks good. What was the total cost of all the leads and connections, PM me if you prefer.
  15. What are you going for after the JVC Matt?
  16. Now that I have my cruise control in and operating I'm looking at the stereo controls and want to get those working but I have to replace the factory Japanese spec head unit. The only thing I dislike about anon factory head unit is how far they stick out from the fascia. Has anyone got pics of their set up with a head unit that sits fairly well in the dash? It doesn't have to be perfect but I prefer understated rather than look at me.
  17. Lol no not worth anything at all IMO. I only just realised you're in Launny as well.
  18. It looks like an additional injector controller. Back in the olden days before chips etc if you wanted extra fuel on a fuel injected car they sometimes plumbed in another single injector to the intake to supply some extra fuel. Seems laughable given the tuning that can be done these days.
  19. Looks great! Got anymore pics? Sorry if you've posted them previously I'm not on here all that much.
  20. Any rubbing at all or have you rolled your guards? I have some 19x9.5 +35 to go on mine when I get some tyres but I'm going for 245/40/19.
  21. ^^^^^What size/offset and tyres are you running?
  22. Anyone else interested? Much cheaper to replace these bolts than new rear tyres due to camber wear.
  23. Just remember that they are making plenty out of you on the sale price for 0% finance. You can generally only get the cheap finance deals if you pay RRP but you may be able to get the car a lot cheaper otherwise and this may make up for the interest cost of a bank loan especially if you can pay it out early with no penalty.
  24. I am intending to buy some of these bolts to sort out my rear camber issue as done previously by Slippylotion(what happened to him?where did he go?) and BigKev Racer. These adjust both the camber and toe through the use of cambered bolts to give additional adjustment.as per this original thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/382684-spc-performance-rear-cambertoe-bolts/page__hl__spc%20camber Is anyone interested in getting some to reduce the freight cost?
