  1. Beaurepaires in Braddon is Trojan Motorsport's main tyre go-to guy. 6248 5911 I know other places that are good, but unlikely to do work at very short notice, nor do it quickly.
  2. Better scratch me off the list, my car's still in the workshop.
  3. If you get your money back on a skyline, it'll break the time-space continuum. Find a trusted friend with a garage if you intend to come back.
  4. I've just ordered that camera, and the "Cruise Cam" headrest mount. the GoPro doesn't have a 1/4" bolt hole like most cameras, so I'm hoping to use the very high bond tape to attach it to the mount (hopefully in a removable way that will let me use the other mounts when not on the track). Will let you guys know how it goes. Cost a little over 300aud delivered, so if it works well... ! BTW, just confirmed something else: Noone is allowed to stand on pitwall whatsoever now. Paid, unpaid, signed in or not. Not allowed. GHEY.
  5. It's being installed right about now, and yes it uses the stock piping. Should have no problems, I'll be using the stock airbox too. I've found yet another style of FMIC piping but haven't had time to draw the picture: the intake runs up past the intake plenum on the side opposite to normal (so on the LHS looking from the front of the car), then comes backwards in a tight bend into the normal inlet.
  6. sfrizza: Yeah, I'm particularly impressed by the quality/smoothness of the clips and simplicity/functionality. You can get them on eBay, either locally or from the US. From the US is, I think, about 70-80 less all told. I'm just trying to nail down a suitable headrest mount - am waiting on a reply from a US retailer, who says the GoPro doesn't have a 1/4" bolt hole on the underside like most cameras. Will let you know how it goes.
  7. I spoke to the manager today. You're not allowed to have any camera on or in your car unless it's bolted down and/or in a cage. No suction mounts. I wish I'll have to ring them before Wednesday and find out if you can actually stand and watch at the barrier. If you can't there's no point going to track unless you're taking part
  8. Hmm ok. It'll only be for speed off the streets days. Bleh, I'll ring haha ...Noone answering who woulda thought
  9. Hopefully someone knows this off the top of their head: I'm about to buy a camera for Wakefield. I've found one for pretty cheap and kinda keen to grab it tonight if someone can confirm for sure if the Wakefield supervisors are OK with (internal) suction mounted cameras? I ask because I heard somewhere they used to allow them and now don't. I'd ring and ask them myself tomorrow, but don't wanna miss this one out. This is the model I'm looking at: the Motorsports Hero on here http://www.goprocamera.com/ It can mount to a windscreen (front or rear) or any typical racing helmet (but I'd be using it on the windscreen). EDIT: Found out: No. Also no spectators on pit lane whatsoever, racing or not, signed in or not, paid or not, NO - not allowed. So 5h1tty @ the new rules.
  10. Sorry to thread jack but just a quick one: I'm about to buy a camera for capturing laps at Wakey. I've found one for reasonably cheap and kinda keen to grab it tonight if someone can confirm the following (rather than having to wait til tomorrow to ring Wakefield to ask, and maybe miss out): - Are the Wakefield supervisors OK with (internal) suction mounted cameras? This is the model I'm looking at: the Motorsports Hero on here http://www.goprocamera.com/ It can mount to a windscreen or any normal racing helmet.
  11. That's a dumb justification. No plates, parking no patterns.
  12. White R33 in a suburb just over from Belco, near me... wonder who u are! There's also a silver one getting around near me I don't know the owner of. My baby getting towed/trayed away for an internal makeover (finally!!)
  13. Um lighty01, don't like reading threads all the way through? I already charged it. You're best recharging with one of those cable sets which say they are safe for ECU, as mine does. I DC'ed the battery anyway as I charged mine from an AC charger. Only took two evenings (disconnected during the day so the car could remain closed) of charging to come good. Anyway, after charging the battery and leaving it DC for about a week, it turned over first time and is now on it's merry way off to my mechanic. Optima rocks! Thanks to those who helped.
  14. Spotted a nice purple R33 GTR (assumption from rear wing) coming off the new bypass onto Belconnen Way, headed for Barry Drive.
  15. Oh... bahahaha silly me No wonder I was thinking 'this topic again!?'
  16. What the heck does the title of this thread mean? I thought someone spelt Baconer's name wrong Oh, wing and bar look good btw
  17. You certain?? I always filled up there and thought it was Ultimate, cos they have the advertisements on the pumps... Another fan of BP Ultimate here (assuming I'm right about the above...), even though I've only used others a few times as necessary, BPU is the one that seems to have the solid reputation.
  18. I've been told torque measurements are very dependant on how the car is run on the dyno.
  19. Wowee, that's in good nick.
  20. How heavy is it?
