R32 Full Rollcage. Safety 21.
Yawn replied to GTR-026tt's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
where in melb are u located? how many point? -
Slide, are those Bee-R wheels?
-
Yes there are flush sitting bonnet pins, they cost quite a bit though. A lot of the Top Secret cars use 'em. Revolution Racegear in Melbourne sells them. If i remember correctly they were around $100 for the normal ones but slightly more for the set that comes with a tiny key and a small lock built into the pins for security purposes. Cheers

Fiberglass And Carbon Fibre Air Pod Covers....... Stay Legal
Yawn replied to RYD11R's topic in Group Buys
if you could get some pics of the r32gtr cf ones and they look alright i might grab one -
Sorry to hijack the thread, but what exactly does 'spun a bearing' mean? Ive heard about it a lot and i know its very common with rb engines but what does it mean and what causes it?
-
This is sometimes called a 'room bar' as well. From what i know its mainly for sedans or cars with longer wheelbases to strengthen the middle of the chassis.

Im currently looking at forking out for a set of Nismo LMGT4's 18x9.5" all around +12 offset with 265/30/18 tires (or was it 265/35/18). I drive a 32 gtr and was wondering if I could get them to fit without too much hassle. I do some track work every month or so and am a bit nervous about when under heavy cornering loads and the like, will the slightly sticking out wheel do any damage to the guards or struts etc. (especially at higher speeds)? My guess is they'll probably stick out a bit and I hope dialing in some -ve camber will solve the problem and get them to fit just within the guards? What do you guys reckon? If it gives me too much problems (such as guard rolling/pumping/lipping) I'll probably just look at getting another set of wheels. Thanks in advance

R34gtr Vspec From Malaysia
Yawn replied to russwestwood's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
lol if your referring to the highway that goes to and from sepang and KLIA, just wait till you sit in a car with reasonably stiff springs. The road looks fine but it goes up, down, up, down kinda like sitting in a small boat with rough weather haha. The last time i was there i almost puked lol, must be the soil or sth. -
R34gtr Vspec From Malaysia
Yawn replied to russwestwood's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Im from KL too and i still come back here at least once a year (as a matter of fact im in KL now haha) and everytime i come back there seems to be more and more imports on the road. Ive been back for 2 months or so and ive seen a heap of 34 gtt's and a few 34 gtrs. The rarest skyline is the 32gtr which ive only seen once and thats coz i know the owner haha. Oh btw the 2nd hand parts here are dirt cheap compared to Aus. Im assuming that the people that can actually afford gtr's and the like here in Msia arent really bothered with 2nd hand stuff at all. Btw russ which workshop do you go to? GT Auto? -

Weds Sport Racing Wheels
Yawn replied to Pashka's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
size and offset? cheers -
Ah, the do-luck one i was going on about looks like your bonnet just without that centre part that you like. Haha
-
The one vented bonnet I do like is the do-luck one. It has those fins that arent too large and over the top but still looks like it would do a proper job cooling. Ive never actually seen one of those do-luck bonnets on a real car before tho
-
It doesnt look that bad, but its still noticeable. Just imagine ur normal bonnet raised maybe an inch at the part nearer to the windscreen. It sorta looks like some dodgy panel work has been done. Haha their everywhere around here in Malaysia, seems to be pretty common unlike in melb.
-
Ahhh, makes sense How much of an effect on cooling would u think it has tho, i mean that vent is pretty small probably not even palm size. I have to admit it looks pretty nice tho, clean and subtle. Cops wont even give it a 2nd glance.
-
Oh. :S What do you mean get air to the turbo housings? Like to cool the turbos? Stock turbos are gonna be low mount anyway and that vent is factory id say?
-
What do you guys think about that little triangle vent on the bonnet of r34 gtr's? Im not sure if its a vspec bonnet or wat, but its towards the top right hand corner of the bonnet. Im sure its there for a reason, but the way I look at it, i doubt it could help bring down temperatures much, if at all.

damn if this was in black you would have the money in your bank account by now

Hey guys i recently got hold of a 2nd hand bride zeta II full bucket but i just noticed that theres an inch long crack at the base of the shell, just along where the hole for the 5th point of a harness goes thru. The shell is fibreglass and I was just looking for opinions. Should i still use this seat? The last thing i want is to be driving hard thru a corner and suddenly falling thru my seat :S Is this crack maybe repairable? I could maybe reinforce around the crack area with some fibreglass to prevent the crack from growing thru wear and tear? What do you guys think? Nothing to worry about? I know the seat probably isnt as strong as it would be crack-less but i just need it to hold me and support my weight (75kg). Any opinions greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hks Hiper D (drag Suspension) To Suit 32gtr
Yawn replied to Yawn's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Lol, sorry their for 32gtr. Ive amended the topic. Cheers for pointing that out to me -
Hey guys, I've decided to place my set of HKS Hiper D drag suspension up for sale coz I stupidly assumed these were HKS Hipermax II's for circuit use when i bought them, not drag specific suspension. After asking around and doing some own research, I've come to the conclusion that these wont help me much on the circuit and I might as well sell it to someone else who can put it to better use on the strip. These have silver pillowball uppermounts instead of anodised purple, I have no clue why. The rears still have the standard black HKS progressive springs but the fronts have been switched to stiffer buddy club springs which according to my crappy calculations, using SKs thread as a guide is around 5.5kg/mm. These are 20-way adjustable and still have all stickers intact. eg., the sticker at the bottom which says 'left' or 'right' and the HKS Hiper D stickers. As stated, these are in VGC and the chrome is even still shiny, just needs a bit of a clean up after sitting around for so long. I'm asking $1300 nego. for these. These cost around 2k+ delivered brand new from nengun. Serious buyers plz PM me or email [email protected] for pics or any enquiries. Cheers
