  1. happy birthday and all the best take it easy and have a good one
  2. im sure there are hundreds of local tuners who can tune it for you
  3. yeah thats what i meant sorry
  4. im pending a big boys day with beer kegs and dress up party but if that doesnt come to plan we'll sort something else out what are you upto for AFL Grand final 08 ? who is gonna win who is gonna win norm smith
  5. what are you upto
  6. i would be putting chains on all 4 wheels on any car regardless of drivetrain or setup
  7. think of it like an interceptor the unit needs manifold pressure so that is seperate then it needs a signal in (intercept it) and signal out so it takes signal in from the manifold again and then intercepts it (this is where it bleeds pressure in/out) and then signal out goes to the actuator so the controller sits in the middle and lies about pressure to the actuator
  8. im moving to keilor downs in 3 weeks ill be just behind the plaza, my place is just off copernicus way
  9. yeah of course you wont gain anything, even an turbocharged car gains zero without retuning but he is wording it as though your fuel lines well melt if you put 100ron with ethanol in an N/A car
  10. i fail to see how running it in an N/A makes any difference vs risk and "rusting" fuel is fuel - do you think a turbocharged car has magical fuel lines and a fuel rails?
  11. im sorry i disagree %400 with your comment there is no way a std service station can sell a product that rusts your fuel line
  12. im sorry i disagree %400 with your comment there is no way a std service station can sell a product that rusts your fuel line
  13. just drive normally and youll be fine you will only have troulbe if you load the engine up the std service manual tells you specs for snow chains and how to fit them id strongly advise getting a normal car for the snow however
  14. the map data and chip is different between models (including the same series) if you get the wrong model of chip the car sluggish (as matt said) and is a pig to drive the engine works fine and runs ok, just drives like poo
  15. happy bday champ - all the best and hope its better weather up in qld
  16. Nismo or Nisma
  17. ethanol is fine do you honestly think shell could sell it as a std available product to every day mum and dads if it melted fuel lines and caused your fuel pump to explode? of course not, it would be the biggest law suit and class action in australia
  18. the same service is avaiable for houses archicentre.com.au do it
  19. this has been covered to death using higher octane fuel is fine without a retune you wont get any gains other than it acting as a detonation killer you wont gain any power without a retune ie: putting 100ron in a stock GTST will give zero, unless you tune for it but it will take away knocking if you do get some with normal 98 on your current setup ethanol in a std car is fine it wont do any harm or melt your fuel lines etc ive been using shell vpower racing 100ron for about 5 months (ish) now and its fine i havent changed a single thing, std GTR pump, std lines, std injetors etc
  20. good luck - but why overcomplicate everything and re-invent the wheel 6 times? there are dozens of off the shelf ecus that will do everything you need
  21. if the gate was stuck open it would go into vacuum instantly no problems and build some boost it would just be mega laggy to build a useful amount of boost but getting to 0 should be almost instant with gate leaking or not it sounds like your manifold isnt pressurize, ie; your engine is atmo this explains why you cant reach 0 vacuum
  22. i would expect zero gain from fitting those piping kits
  23. i wouldnt have picked that but others have seen whacko pipework cause other turbulance issues the most common with custom whacko piping is the turbo chuffling or shuffling
