  1. theres only 1 or 2 places in melbourne who can tune the stock ecu (dr drift can do it, and someone said status tuninig can do it too) most cant touch it and most dont care about tuning it either its known as remapping it when asking for pricing say you want a health check and a stock ecu remap if you ask for a dyno tune some workshops will plonk the car on the dyno run it up and go yeah its ok and maybe adjust the timing 1 degree and say they've tuned it a remap is a complete retune of the ECU map data and id expect to pay around $400 for this
  2. when you say off the scale, do you mean it drops to load axis 20 on "map watch"? if so, then yes you can rescale the load axis to move it around a bit but remember a 3 bar map sensor is only 2 bar positive pressure map sensors are listed as 3 bar or 2 bar or 4 bar etc but this includes 1 bar of vacuum or negative pressure (aka vacuum) so if you have a 3 bar map sensor it will only read to 2bar boost
  3. change the rear diff gears from memory bnr34 is 3.7 crank it up to 4.11 and youll get some more acceleration out of it
  4. dry ice intercooler = -10deg intake temp
  5. the higher the boost you run, the bigger the restriction you have in the setup if you can make the power you want at 14psi instead of 24psi the car will be much better overall
  6. the garretts are 0.60 a/r front and 0.64 a/r rear vs stock which is 0.42 a/r front and 0.48 a/r rear dfferent wheels in them too

  13. i have no idea - ask tharaka or joel i think its some sort of kit you buy (it would be on ebay) that fits standard camera's etc search for camera suction car harness or something
  14. is your issue that you are hitting 5v or running out of load axis on the PFC

  16. reset stock ecu when engine is warm and let it idle for a few minutes
  17. be sure you understand the full mechanics of mass pressure reading vs mass flow reading and that you are measuring the same thing but in two different methods one is reading volume and one is reading pressure and guessing be sure to note that a 2.5bar map sensor is really only 1.5bar boost as 1bar is negative vacuum so keep that in mind too also to note that once boost peaks at your boost controller set, so say 1.3bar that pressure remains fixed at 1.3bar and more and more air comes into the engine so you loose tuning accuracy also - runs along horizontal axis
  18. its been tried before and doesnt work 1) run twin maf sensors 2) sell it and buy djetro 3) move maf sensor into larger shell for more scale 4) try hks vein pressure converter (legacy product)
  19. what do u want done? do you want a) your aftermarket ecu tuned? b) a car health check & power check? (no tuning/adjustments) c) a tune of the standard ecu?
  20. it hooks up well theres no way a std gtr would launch like that my guesses would be 1. drag controller (hks etc or splitter box or custom voltage clamp on the sensors) 2. non std gearbox & ratios 3. upgraded clutch packs for the 4wd system 4. smaller wheels 5. lots of power

  24. std plenum is fine for that power a decent plenum is $1k
  25. when he says i think he just means a check to make sure the turbochargers are working and everything is ok so basicvally just a health check once the turbochargers are fitted this assumes you have the standard ecu? or does he mean a touch up of your aftermarket ecu?
