  1. sounds about right didnt see you
  2. no idea but the auto box in the vl is better and doesnt need auto ecu, as its a mech auto box r33 auto is elec auto box
  3. agree, get new coils, splitfires should be fine
  4. i wonder if they set the tuner string - whoever unlocks it with datalogit, can you please let me know the tuner string ive only ever seen 1 tuner string in the wild set
  5. haha, word for word, love it
  6. whats the problem you are trying to solve
  7. i would disagree, if the owner fiddles and breaks stuff, thats their own fault it would be unreasonable for a workshop to replace a busted engine if the owner fiddles with the tune and it goes bang that would be unrealistic expectation from both the owner and the workshop - owner ownus always applies locking a PFC usually just annoys the owner you buy a stand alone manageable ecu to manage it its not a stand alone unamanageable ecu
  8. thread of the year
  9. 1). stop driving the car 2). throw the ecu you have in the bin 3). get a stand alone youve been told this before and refused to listen 1000cc's + remaps = bad idea
  10. no worries - happy to help, its a common issue a lot of guys replace the std intake piping (rubber accordian style) and it stuffs up the off-throttle and idle sometimes too
  11. any one (workshop or someone else) with datalogit can unlock it for you its not locked by a password or a code, its just a tickbox in the apexi/datalogit software 1). plug in datalogit 2). read all 3). untick "locked" 4). update all done
  12. happy bday have a good one
  13. R32/R33 std GTST AFM's are the same, will cap out around 200rwkw they peak just near 5v at 200rwkw. you can stretch it to around 220rwkw ish if you like or even 250rwkw if your tuner is game but its not recommended above say 220rwkw just get a Z32
  14. covered in the PFC FAQ - its in my signature your PFC is locked and when you do it get it unlocked express your disastifaction to CRD for locking your own property they have no right to lock your PFC tune so any expenses incurred from you unlocking it, i would send them an invoice for it they are muppets for locking your PFC tune - i am surprised a workshop of that nature and level does this - its completely stupid and pointless if the owner wishes to fiddle with their own tune and erase settings or change numbers, let them, its upto the owner and not the workshop to police it the tune they supply onto your car is tailored for your car and its your own intellectual property and not theirs god this makes me angry
  15. never heard of EJ1 what the hell is it ?
  16. happy birthday and all the best have a good one
  17. when you find one let me know ive got a set of advans that need a coat of black but i cant be assed removing rubber and crap
  18. most JDM cars have a 180km/h speed cut built in this includes R32,R33,R34 its usually a voltage signal to the standard ECU, the voltage increases as your speed goes up and reaches a certain voltage at 180km/h most speed cut devices simply cap the signal so it never goes above say 0 or a very low speed so the ECU never see's voltage around 180km/h there are a few ways to avoid this "cap" these are all coevered by searching, the speed cut has been done to death but as you haven't bothered to search; 1). cut the speed signal wire to the ECU (breaks HICAS diagnostics if you ever try it) 2). get a speed cut device (hks speed cut defencer, Apexi RSM, greedy make one too) 3). remap the ecu and edit the speed cut value 4). get a stand alone ecu
  19. sounds right, the ECU has no idea on oil pressure
  20. happy birthday chief, all the best and have a good one big weekend to celebrate hey!!
  21. thats the reason housing size in a/r
