  1. i mean it wasnt that it was a "bad" movie, its just that most are used to the old style bonds
  2. it will be knock i guarantee it almost every time 1) guy goes to get ECU tuned 2) tuner tunes on dyno and sorts out the tune. good power. good AFR's. no knocking nice and safc 3) owner trashes it on the street 4) it knocks its becuase the load axis it touches are ever so slightly different than to how the dyno simualtes it also be sure to note the owner ALWAYS trashes the flamin mongrel out of it differentlyt to how the tuner plonks it on the dyno etc if it was me, and it was my workshop part of the tuner would an on-road tune sure it might add more cost, but it would cut out the knocking on street problems we see

    R34 Gtr Bodykit

well how much do you think a full kit supplied and fitted is going to be? i would budget around 10k for a full GTR 34 kit thats if you want flared guards etc there was a guy who did it , JOPGTR i think it was, or JOPLIN in the end, from memory it was cheaper to buy a GTR i would just leave it as is, its not worth the $ in the end youll still have the GTT running gear which is fine i mean its your money do what you like, i mean ive got GTR seats in mine but i just cant see yourself getting a good GTR kit for cheap
  4. the definition of police, is to police a situation so something doesnt occur they arent detectives on the street, detecting what happened, after its occured the more police presence, the less likely something will happen

    R34 Gtr Bodykit

it would probably work out cheaper and easier in the end to buy an R34 GTR Vspec
  7. read the PFC FAQ in my sig - it tells you how to fix knocking etc it will knock differently on the street, it happens to every tune the dyno is great, but the street load is every so slightly different either take the tuner for a trash on the street and make him fix it while he is in the car or speak to another tuner and ask for the same thing or learn how to fix it yourself (its easy) the faq will help you
  8. what did you think casino royale much better
  9. i still believe an aftermarket ecu is a much better solution
  10. stock ecu & misfire on boost? get a real ecu or piggyback it
  11. ask the tuner? 3 days sounds a bit extreme you dont really need to do cold start, idle and hot start with the PFC they work out the box flawlessly so if they come back saying they need to leave it over night for cold start, its not really needed the only time i would approve that level of cost and time was if they did wideband on the road test a dyno tune is great and all but the full picture is on the road wideband tuning as it will knock differently on the street (engine load different) and light cruise touch up while doing like 80kmh in 4th, 100kmh in 5th, 110kmh in 5th etc nice and easy on the road with wideband 3 days on dyno - excessive for that i would ask and expect every single IGN and INJ map number to be changed
  12. this was something we discussed at our meeting last night. so in the event you have full comp (i do) and it states on your insurance policy it requires a 3 point immobiliser aust fitted. in the event your car is flogged - what is the insurance companies likely action? do they ask for the receipt of the alarm install? what if you can't find it - is the policy instantly void and do they back out and not pay based on this? i know of several people with skylines insured with aust alarms fitted, but how would you prove this? if the car is gone what left is there to say yeah its got an aust fitted alarm? what if they cant find the reciept for the alarm install? in my case my 33 has an alarm (ive set it off before) but its not aust fitted my policy states it must be aust fitted 3 point - i can just say its aust fitted - how would they verify?
  13. is it laggy? the only thing i can think of is the actuator is stuck open so the wastegate is never closed, which doesnt allow the system to build up much pressure this would result in lots of lag as heaps of gas is sent out the open wastegate constantly
  14. its unlikely the safc is back to defaults, it has a battery backed memory so even when the battery is unplugged the tune is saved the only way it goes to defaults is if the user resets (data init's) the device it isnt done by accident or cos of loss of power go see a workshop who does skylines reset the ecu and replace your 02 sensor you should see normal fuel economy there are maunals for the safc on the internet under google or on my website paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com
  15. i dont understand what the complexity is about? there is little to no difference for s1 and s2 r33 that will mean any difference in terms of power output, 1/4, wheelies etc you seem to place lots of emphasis on moot points and things that serve no useful purpose powerfcs are worth $ because they hold their value and are worth it
  16. timing belt may have snapped / come loose / shagged = smashed everything if the belt lets go, bolt snaps etc the pistons crown and it smashes all the valves have seen it before - doesnt matter if car is stock or not how many kms on the engine
  17. good son of rajab, please get full comp
  18. ah yeah ive seen RBWPN6 in gladstone park before - it is really a weapon? glad u got it back in one piece - time to organise alarm, even thought it might not help, will certainly hlep with claiming insurance
  19. im going to change this to friday - more suitable
  20. someone is trying to ghost your car like they said goto nearest vicroads
  21. whatever injectors the car model came with, is what the PFC will support ie if you are using ECR33 PFC and the std ECR33 ECU supports low impedance, then the PFC will only support low impedance there are resistor hacks and kits you can do to change that, but out of the box it will only support natively designed injectors for the same impedance yes if you change injectors, you will need a full retune - you can do the self idle yourself to make the car drive able but its likely to the mapping will change significantly some workshops may do a touch up, some may just wipe and start again - ask before fitting them
  22. agreed - this is the best way to get a feel on what to look for and check get a few of them side by side and its easy to work out whats wrong then you cna use this info to find bugs in the new possible car
  23. sorry to hear i just moved out of gladstone park hope you find it or get your insurance full comp payout
