yeah you guys wonder why someone such as him picks on you cos you all drive illegally modified cars (i do too) and then rant and rave when you get caught

yeah i guess there is a few angles from their main intentions one i think is on content and the other is on piracy of copyrighted material block out bad stuff block out pirated stuff block out material not suitable for kids and when they talk about filtering content what extent do we go to? should we start filtering the local sun newspaper as it contains photos of young models with their cans out (in the fashion section) should we filter articles about murders and drug related incidents from kids should we ban the humble photocopier at your libary as it allows you to "copy" a copyrighted document these all, to me at least, come under supervision of your kids or "teenagers" i mean, if you take your kids to the video shop (like i said before) you dont let them run wild in the porn section you don't show them the picture magazines in the newsagency as you know they are offensive etc so you protect it just seems its much easier to become lazy and blame the government when it comes to the internet having seen and managed the network side everything and anything can be blocked / filtered p2p, encrypted p2p, and so on all they are asking can be done by the ISP, if they are forced to, but none will out of sheer kindness or for fun it will cost them hefty $ bills and time / resources to set it up, manage it, support it etc so they wont accept it blindingly

1) read the manual 2) search our tutorial section, im sure ive seen avcr tuning guide 3) google search 4) youtube search for the avcr tuning video 5) when you work it out, write up a user faq in the tutorial section (im sure there is already one)

hello having managed and worked in a large isp in australia and knowing how everything works i will say without a doubt, this is unlikely and will not occur it is unfeasiable to filter the whole countries internet traffic and have it bulletproof. if you want to capture the average kid trying to view porn then yeah it might work but if they want to get in/out they will via another network or another system etc. the typical systems that are shown on today tonight where some kid bypasses a content system are typically local junk systems that usually just involve a reg key, file hack, system hack or some sort of local exploit to get around it. the blocks, if they wish to try them should be on the network layer and not local systems if they are serious about it. the platform they use needs to do content level inspection not just looking at URLs or ip ranges they change daily and spammers/scammers/porn etc all know this and change networks often to hide around lists, filters etc but even content filters can't get %100 as they use different enconding, use garbled text for content and so on, so it would never be %100 installing big filter platforms i dont see as being useful, i think some ownus should come down to the parents supervision and how their children viewing the content. ie you wouldnt let your kids roam wild in the porn section of a dvd hire shop. points 1,2,3,4 are all rubbish points. if the government wants it, they will make it legislation and provide funding (they will have to). the notes about # of hops is pointless. the type of hardware and network switching is unlikely to slow it down but it will come at a big cost to the isps' which they wont be happy with

for christmas we had a big family lunch under a large marquee on the grass we also had a slurpee machine running all day so no shortage of alcoholic slurpee best christmas ever

croydon is able to lock it as they have the datalolgit software, which you can lock a PFC tune it gets "reset" when you unlock it due to an interface bug, its not croydons fault you have to reset it, once unlocked croydon lock PFC tunes i guess to "protect" the user from doing something stupid on the hand controller i guess that defeats the point of a stand alone engine management system, to allow you to manage it
-
this is a bug within FC-Edit itself, its not able to "see" the values so it overwrites them with its default when you hit update this is common and very obvious with the injector settings, they get scrambled when you unlock it i think its also different for different verison of the FC-Edit and PFC models, ie RB25 mangles the injector settings and say RB26 may mangle other stuff, its just interface / validation bugs in their code (datalogits) you would be able to unlock / relock a PFC with no dataloss with the correct sequence and code (ie: apexi FC Pro)

Poor Fuel Economy...please Help!
paulr33 replied to frozenwaffles's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
there is no problem if you were getting sub 200kms to a tank, then 02 sensor or fuel mapping is toast over 300kms to a tank is fine. stop loading the engine up and stop bringing it on boost, problem solved if you dont believe me (or others who have said the same) give your car to your girlfriend or mum to drive for a week i bet they get over 400kms to tank also what do you classify as "to a tank" are you measuring the same way each time do you run it empty? do you fill it up to the top? how many litres do you fit in when you "think" its empty the gtst fuel gauge goes past E before you are empty and then the idiot light comes on the difference between near E and past E is around 40kms (at least) of light cruise -
welcome to last year

with the temp sensor not working, the ecu will be stuck in cold temp corrrection, thats is, retard mode so until you fix that, theres not point loading it up or bring it on boost, in fact, its probably doing harm as the correction is sucky there are two sensors for water, one for the cluster and one for the ecu, i would suggest replacing both with known working items the ecu doesnt pump more or less fuel in based on the 02 sensor in real time, its a minute correction on light cruise so be seeing rich or lean from the ecu diag, means nothing, provides nothing useful and will just add confusion or misleading information fix the water temp sensor, your problems will go away the part should be a generic nissan item from most auto workshops, undo the item, take it into the shop and ask for a replacement one basicaly. my r33 rb25 has an 180sx water temp sensor it and it works fine ie: its a generic nissan part, not an RBxx model specific one so you can mix match providing plug and voltage/scale is the same

The Most Elusive Rb Misfire Issue Ever
paulr33 replied to Lithium's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
theres probably not a lot of things that could make a car loose 50rwkw so i guess just run through the list and youll find it- but sounds like you may have found it anyhoo but for those who aren't sure fuel pump - unlikely, either works or doesnt, if it was to struggle car would make more power, and show up on AFR turbo - unlikely, either works or doesnt, when its shaggged, typical result is no boost compression - very likely, check this (i know you have) - but for others inlet system (afm, ducting, intercooler) - unlikely you would see it and if its leaking would be obvious (car would be laggy as and make no power at all) ecu / tune - very likely, less timing everywhere would cause what you are seeing cas - likely, it may be slipping or loose, result in offset timing, less power everywhere injectors - unlikely, either work or dont, if they dont, would show up on AFR or engine would go bang or stall and not run spark / coils - very likely, either loosing spark or brekaing down, could be shagged plugs, wrong gap, dead coils, typical observation is misifire or sluggish clutch - likely, when clutch dies engine free revs (revs climb without hesitation) and car makes bugger all power, wonky torque graph (i know its not clutch in your case) so just some ideas for others debugging problems -
yeah i would stop replying the more info you give out, the worst they store any information into a big database and collate common human respones etc much like a virus scanner using hueristics to track patterns etc scammers then use this info for other tricks and traps as they know your common language, and how you respond etc

Faq: Apexi Powerfc - Frequently Asked Questions
paulr33 replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
whatever is in the faq will be correct if it doesnt idle id say you are doing something wrong try and find someone else who has used 740cc injectors and check their settings -
my choice twin z32s, the Y pipe to give you two AFM inputs into the compressor cover and use an apexi safc II to give you a bridge into 1 AFM input on the main PFC if you max a pair of twin z32s you can use the SAFC to bend and trim the signal much the same you can do the PFC to bend and trim the signal to give you more scope you can even invent your own AFM ramp in the PFC if you have datalogit (i assume your tuner will)
