  4. ok ive just realised the part no the FC board is G1216 the part on the seiko site is Seiko 128x64 G121621V000 so it sounds like the same unit let me order one n see how we go
  5. the main board for the LCD display has 3 chips on the back all hitachi chips with 5L1 HD 5 61202TFIA Japan The board has SII with a black dot also has E91964 340 in white print REV B G1216 B1N (in a white box) on the underside of the backlit display i can see 020596 in big black numbers and in small gold numbers i can see D2161
  6. yeah ive got a busted 26 controller here actually ive just looked at the unit in the powerfc FAQ and it looks the same as the one used in the hand controller ive got open here on my desk the one inside the FC controller has a 20 pin connector with A and C on the right hand side like the one on the site here http://graphic-lcd-lcds.shopeio.com/invent...b=Graphic%20Lcd i didnt realise they had a common 20 pin connector, i thought all the crap on the back was part of the FC it appears all the crap behind it is the logic for the LCD display. ace ill order one of those screens (out of stock) and wire it up to my working 25 controller i wanna put it on a safc stand and have it next to my rsm, so that knock is more visible
  7. yeah at this stage it isnt all units, just some of the less popular ones
  8. hey steve no problems, appreciate it. its taken me a while to write up all that. its over 20,000 words long glad it was of help, thats the main game plan
  9. it would be good if you get an rsm style screen for the PFC and plug it in then you could choose between digital guages, didgital output and have it closer to the driver. the rsm is ace, if only it could show knocking

  12. blake said he went to the toilet for a no#2 then fell asleep/passed out on the can. he said he woke up at 8:30pm and went home. haha
  13. if you can find one with the right voltage and input i dont see why not look in the PFC faq in my sig, someone found a suitable screen replacement on the rx7 forums
  14. boost is created by engine load, not revs. if you can load the engine up on the spot, it will make some small amount of boost or whistle pressure noise. in the manual u can ride the clutch and engage it a bit and rev and the engine will make some load, enough to make it whistle a bit but not take off
  15. i wonder if there are a few busted units today? thanks for all those who attended our beer appreciation day. hope you all had fun, i sure did, had to duck out early for another event i had to attend to. official afterparty was good also, thanks to sarah and her parents for having us more events coming up in 2007
  16. you wont loose power exactly but there will be more throttle lag as each time you open the throttle, you have to pressurize all the extra pipe work and larger core over the stock unit.
  17. look in my sig
  18. are u using a true serial port or a usb dongle converted one? try a real serial port, it may work better
  19. its upto you guys really. the place opens at 9am. they said people wont start arriving till around lunch time (the manager did) so you can come whenever. i will aim to get there around 11. if some others are keen to start early, i can get there earlier. or you can start without me. if you do get there and i am no t present take the tables on the right side, in the front outside area
  20. fuel economy should be almost the same if not a bit better
  21. This event is now open to non members as well. This is just one of the many events we run exclusively for SAU VIC members. As you can see there is a lot of interest for this event and it should be a good turnout. If you are interested in joining the club or even just meeting some of our members you are welcome to attend. There is no cost or booking to made, simply just come on the day. There is a map attached on the first post to show you where we will be.
  22. looksy here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=132103 shows you the stock lights, its on the right side
  23. yeah it would definetly have a light from memory its top left, red light turn the car to ON but don't start it (so diag/test lights come on) and look for a red light with an oil tin can icon
  24. if you have a warning light too for low pressure then yeah its probably low low pressure = bad but if its just the guage it could be the sender on crack
