  1. PM sent...
  2. wow these exist?? or does anyone know a place that sells them? (ie justjap?) if you find a place that has them can you PM me please blitz_boy? thanks!
  3. good place is to mount the boost gauge in the airvent on the RHS of the dash (next to the ignition). it fits gauges perfectly and the gauge will be flush with the dash, thus look like its stock(ish). and as for the restrictor removel - great move, a good bang for your buck modification! i like the idea also of drilling out the hole to a bigger size to find the perfect boost level that you are after... good luck with it all, Warren.
  4. contray to previous posts, i HAD a serious flat spot when cold in my car also... did an ECU diagnostics test and it came up with the code for knock sensor. so i had a look at the knock sensors and one of them was unplugged! so i put it back in, and presto - no more flat spot! worth a try as it only takes 5 sec to see if the plug is in (note: plugs located just below intake manifold. one is in between runners 1-2 and otehr 4-5. they are green plugs with a white clip that has to go into it) good luck guys, Warren.
  5. what front bumper has it got? ie standard or aftermarket?
  6. where are you located and how much? do places like autobarn sell these? where else could i look to see some?
  7. hi there guys i was wondering if anyone sells aftermarket shift knobs for us auto guys? i mean something that would replace the t-bar but still has an overdrive button on the side... i've been hanging for something like this in chrome/metal/silver but don't know if they exist! (i really like the soarer-style shifter with the button on the top...) if these are available does anyone know where i could find one? cheers in advance, Waz.
  8. g'day mate, the R32gtst front bar is that a standard one or other type? cheers, Waz.
  9. wow i didn't realise that the first posts were sooooo long ago.... what's up with that?
  10. how about this: - have the 2 factory coolers in stock location, one in front of the other (would this fit?) - make up a pipe that bolts onto the end of the stock pipe (from the turbo) that splits the air into 2. - then, half the air enters one cooler, half enters the other cooler - the coolers 'exit' pipes meet before going through the stock pipes to the intake manifold would this setup minimise pressure drop as the amount of air is greatly reduced (even though the air pressure is still the same)? jsut a thought for ya, ibfalcon... Waz.
  11. is it then possible to transplant an rb30et into an r32 or r33? nice dollop of torque in the skyline shell would be pretty nice...
  12. i have some stock r33gtst wheels for sale (5x114.3) with excellent rubber: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=30936 they look bigger than the r32 rims as the spokes extend all the way out to the edge of the rim cheers, Warren.
  13. i have a dark blue r32gtst if that helps, but havn't seen a blue gtr... and you're right it is the best colour!
  14. that's OK mate, just leaves them open for someone else...
  15. go to: www.unichip.com.au i hope that link works as i made it up but i'm sure that its their site... costs about $1000 fitted. it changes the air/fuel ratios and timing that the car uses to create the most efficient combustion in your engine. more efficient = more power. the stock ECU is more aimed at protecting the engine and uses too much fuel, thus if you can slightly reduce the amount of fuel (or 'lean out the mixture') then you can gain an extra 10-20kW or so depending on your engine. easy, but expensive. good luck... Waz.
  16. oh no, you have opened up a can of worms here mate! to be honest i have heard that the turbosmart bleeders spike alot and i wouldn't recommend one. i use a GFB bleed valve and it works well, no issues there. as for the bleeder vs EBC argument: yes an EBC is going to be better, but for less than 100 bucks, a bleeder works a treat and has little or no spike if set up properly (ie short hoses) Good luck! Waz.
  17. here are some easy ways to increase horsepower: - straight through mandrel-bent exhaust, big, least amoung of bends as possible - higher flowing air filter than stock - remap the ECU or get a chip for your ECU many cars have characteristics that make gaining horsepower easier (eg if you have a gtr then replacing a tiny hose can unlock a great deal of power). a honda site may be able to provide you with some sort of help with this as here we generally only know RB engines (as they're better)
  18. asking $400 for the set of wheels call me if interested (phone number in the link) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=30936
  19. problem: turbo has a ceramic exhaust wheel which, although it spools up quicker apparently, it is prone to failure past 14psi... problem: i (and others) have had issues with cold starts, may need more than one crank to get going... other than that they're a great engine and can revvvv all day and it loves it! (it told me) Waz.
  20. i have a set of 4 standard R33gtst wheels with good rubber if you are interested (in melbourne)...
