funky you sat GAMSAT? are you studying med? GAMSAT = graduate australian medical schools admissions test basically 9am-5pm of breaking the nuts with freaky-ass questions and stuff not good, but you have to get a good score if you want to study medicine or dentistry...

anyone here sit the GAMSAT? i thought i saw coco69 but if it was he didn't recognise me... anyone else? it was long and hard as one would expect for 5.5 hours of multiple choice questions and essays! cheers, Warren.

it still a damn reliable car with a great interior and one that handles and stops like no other. straight line power isn't everything... ever taken a corner in a commonwhore? or a falcon? like driving a bus! and their braking feels like the pads are made of cotton wool! handling + braking + confort + practicallity + performance = good car R33GTS has its finger in the pie of each of the above categories makign it a good car...

coco69 has a fiberglass trial R32 GTR front bar on his R32 GTSt...

I'll make a list of what i have read/heard about the differences. please correct me if i'm wrong... red top has a lower compression ratio red top has a non-BB turbo they both have different cams, head design, and ECU that's all i can remember at the moment. basically, don't go the red top unless its dirt cheap!

i think a second hand RB25 turbo is only about $400 so don't fret too much... actually a good opportunity to upgrade to a VG30DET turbo with its steel exhaust wheel... should provide more power!

wow man i feel so bad for you - i hate 4wd's and thjink they should illegal unless proof can be made that they will only be used offroad... i wish you luck wiht the case. make sure you let us know how it went...

blown a head gasket yet? i'm sure you have done your research, but if not go to: www.supras.com and make sure you re re-torque the head bolts or the head gasket will let go. this is coming from an ex-ma70 supra owner (it had the 7M-GE) btw... love the car it looks awesome!

good place: air vent on RHS of dash next to steering wheel... you can get defected for obstructing view or obstructing other instruments so be careful...

i use NGK copper BCPR6ES plugs on my rb20det cost $3 each and offer a better spark than platinum plaugs (copper is a better conductor) for the price of one set of platinum plugs, you could change the coppers 6 times! many people on the forums use them also. highly recommended. as for gaps: stock cars run ok at 1.1mm (BCPR6ES-11) but once you wind the boost up, the car misfires and requires an 0.8mm gap (BCPR6ES) to run smoothly. good luck with it all, Warren.

if you could make an rb23, then say hello to torque... if this is possible then i and i'm sure other rb20 owners would be keen to see the resutls and whether its a cheapish upgrade upgrade...

mine is 4 dim, 4 bright also looks weird the other way i rekon... have seen it on a few cars though

firstly, to answer your question, i would go a GTT because 1. its a skyline 2. it has an rb turbo engine 3. looks PORN! 4. its a skyline secondly, you refer to yourself as a newbie at getting cars so i'm wondering if this means you are 18yo or does it mean you havn't bought a car on youre own before? if you're 18 then i would say stay away from all 3 cars mentioned untill you get some experience (no not driver training... years out on the streets) Waz.

is this a stock rb20det turbo or is it different specifications? if different in what way (ie larger/better flowing) cheers, Warren.

remember when you go to buy a car and something goes wrong, the seller always says something like "don't worry about that mate, that's easily fixed". if it were as simple as an oil change then it would have been done already prior to selling as it would ensure a sale... if the car looks in good nick then the gearbox is probably the reson its being sold. keep looking... and good luck...
