  1. looking to purchase an aftermarket R32gtst front bar maybe something that looks GTR-ish, maybe something different altogether... definately no too wild just something nicer and classy... let me know what you have. preferrably 2nd hand (cheaper that way) i'm prepared to wait, just thought i'd throw this up to see if anyone is thinking of sellign their bar etc.. cheers, Warren.
  2. getting?? where from?
  3. instead of water spray, why not mount a small electric fan behind it to suck air through (ie a fan from a motorbike)... cheap although probably most effective at helping the intercooler cool off ffrom heat soak, rather than reducing the intake temp
  4. these wheels have been sold to Boost_Junky cheers, Waz.
  5. well might have to try cyber century as i went to Zero Sports today (well actually i was driving through the city to get to my destination anyway) so i popped into little bourke and the dude there had never heard of this badge. "only GTR badge" was his quote, actually. who's got any more ideas?
  6. well i'm up for a group buy or whatever if someone wants to organise it i'm heading in there on wednesday morning on the way to my girlfriends house so will get a price then (if its not too pricey i may purchase)
  7. awesome. thanks mate!
  8. when you get it, can you let me know how much it cost nd where exactly on little bourke it is... i have never heard of Zero Sports... cheers.
  9. oh and on the note of insurance (you mentioned this so i assume its an issue for you): i pay $400 for thrid party without fire and theft and i consider this reasonable enough... in the 4 years i have insured the cars i have owned, i have saved about $3000-5000 each year that would have been blown on full comprehensive insurance and even if i write off my car tomorrow the money i have saved allows enough for the purchases of a new one! if you have decent driver training behind you then just stick to third party and drive responsibly... and save $$$$
  10. and if you buy a 2.5TT then later you can turn it into a 1.5JZ when you want more power!
  11. if you find one, i need to know also! i posted something once about this but no response...
  12. wow that was quick! thanks for the pics inark... i will remove mine on tuesday and see if they look similar, and may even take you up on that offer of seeing if it fits onto my position if i can work out the pics. also, what is it made of? i think (not sure) the TT ones are plastic but the V8 ones are trimmed in leather. true? false?
  13. i'm assuming you are talking about the 1991+ soarers if not then don't bother with soarers as the early (pre-1991) ones have the 7M-GTE engine which burns oil like you wouldn't believe, and has terrible issues with blown head gaskets (i know from first-hand experience)... seems to be some confusion, so soearer comes in: 2.5TT (1JZ-GTE) - also in jza70 supra 4.0V8 (1U-FE) 3.0NA (2JZ-GE) - same as jza80 NA supra as said by someone previously, don't bother trying to convert the NA to a turbo, as you won't have an LSD in the NA, the brakes will be crappy in comparison, the gearbox may be different and not able to cope wit h the extra torque, and the amount of parts needed for the change will result in a sizable bill at the end of it all. best option in my opinion: buy a 2.5TT, and get 3rd party insurance good luck with it all, Waz.

    Rip Ns2500?

for that price you should look into an r32gtr and put a bit of work into it to bring it up to a decent condition...
  15. ok i tried posting this in the 'general automotive discussion' section, but lets face it the victorians are the best and clearly the most help so i will try it here... i like the gear knob in the suto soarers and tried to look for an aftermarket one that looks similar, but they are way too expensive (also, not that many with the overdrive button built in). then i thought that if i couldn't find an aftermarket one, why not just put an original soarer one on? (and if its plastic i could just paint it or if its leather i could dye it to match my interior...) so, i wanted to know if the gear knob from the soarer is removable, and will it be a straight fit onto where the skyline auto knob was? or any info about this or help at all is appreciated! cheers.. Warren.
  16. i think you have been lucky here... did they check the engine bay? did they check the interior? unlucky is when they defet you for not having a H-pattern on your knob (gear) or for not having padding on your steering wheel. they could really find some useless crap if they wanted to... technically its 10cm ride height and if you are below it then they are well within their job description to defect you (even though the story about the dragging child is absolute crap!). but i wish you luck in your efforts to get back on the road...
  17. well i hate the stock auto r32 shift knob, yet i really like the shift knob from the auto soarer... so i set out to search for something like this in the aftermarket world and hit a brick wall when all the good ones are >$200... i don't think so! so my question is: do you think it would be possible to put a soarer auto shift knob onto the r32 auto box? surely can't be hard as they are both o/d-button equipped, and if aftermarket knobs fit both, then these should be able to fit eachother, right? also, are they leather/plastic? if it were plastic i would want to spray it or if leather i could get it done in black leather to match my interior... what do people think of this idea? cheers, Warren.
  18. BCPR6ES these are gapped to 0.8mm from the shop and are great at $3 each!
  19. not a problam mate, good luck with your buy...
  20. i'd say postage on such a heavy item would be very expensive if you are serious please PM me with an offer and i will look into postage methods for you and prices of these or do you have family/friends in elbourne that can pick them up and you could get them to post it? may be easier...
  21. is it true the vg30 turbo exhaust wheel is steel as opposed to ceramic in the rb25 turbo? if this were the case, you could wind up more boost using that variety. but i would still say rb25 turbo as it would be a reasonable upgrade and for a 2L car on the street a vg30 turbo lag may be an issue... Waz.
  22. but remember if a car is fully stock then the cances of it being in mechanically A1 condition are higher than a car with wild bodykit/engine mods to suit, and this may be more important than a bodykit. as 'MR R32' said, if you get the panels yourself then you can pick-and-choose the front bar, sideskirts, and pods that you like best. and FYI, you can buy GTSt sideskirts and pods for about $350-$400 from a wreckers and add in a GTR front ($550 from JustJap) then its not that much for the full GTR look. (save up for painting though!) good luck, Waz.
  23. anyone want to buy these bad boys?
  24. where would be the best place to source an aftermarket front bumper for my r32gtst? anything local that i can go and look at or an internet site that heas pictures? i'm not looking to pay a mint, just something that looks stylish yet less than $400 or $500... thanks for any help you can provide, Warren.
