  1. prahran? i live in taylors lakes... actually its the crowd who want to stab everone + the music which is crap about that place i'm more into your 'jimmy rowes' or 'one' type of place down on mount road... or for a saturday something down on flinders lane is not too bad and the girls are nice there too.
  2. did u guys end up meeting?? how many people went?? i would like to come next time...
  3. hmmmm silvers.... *shudder* that was the first mistake but yeah cars can be cursed. my old ma70 supra was bloody cursed as well. it broke down between the bolte bridge and the end of the domain tunnel 3 times in 2 weeks before i sold the mofo... that's cursed if you ask me good luck with the repairs
  4. Ok so the other dyno day has fallen through... anyone else that said they had contacts want to organise anything? preferrably skylines only (not like the other one which was suppost to be 100-odd cars of any type) cheers, Warren.
  5. when i sold my supra i used carsales.com.au its $10 for as long as you like. plus you can upload pictures and it tells you how many people looked at the ad etc. DO NOT advertise in the Age or Herald Sun definately not worth it. but as far as trading post goes i have always had positive experiences with them, i even bought my R32 through there!
  6. ...BUT... the choice of an R32 was a great one and if you do get one you won't be disappointed! handles SUPERB and accelerates well. its a bit slow off boost but once the turbo spools up it gets some real kick. ...and try to see if the one your looking at is an M-spec (has some extra features of which the 4-pot front brakes is the most imporant) cheers, Warren.
  7. mate that's very pricey to give you an idea i got mine in late jan (ok i know it was before sevs) through private sale here in melb: - 93000 kms genuine - original dark blue paint - R32 GTSt - auto (the main reason for cheap) - no side skirts or stereo or spoiler - R33 rims - body in good nick although was keyed on one side i paid $11,500 as they guy was heading overseas and depserate to sell and i pretended that i wanted to wait before buying (he he) moral of the stor: that car is way overpriced and you should be looking at something much cheaper if you really want a good buy. just because it costs more doesn't mean its better...
  8. change it and the car will run even better! hard starting. hmmmmm welcome to my world... i've narrowed my problem to fuel and ignition not plugs possible injectors blocked or coil pack screwed
  9. you wouldn't happen to have a set or r32 side skirts would you? Pm me if so...
  10. check out a bodywork shop they will probably be able to cut a hole and put in a pre-made piece that looks like what you are talking about (eg makspeed etc.) but with everything comes $$$$...
  11. i won't be there if there's 100 cars too many people asks for trouble... plus how many dickhead commodore owners will show up with their siiiiiiick 3.8L pieces of shit. sorry mate...
  12. i agree INSANT... those internals are going to be toasted
  13. send a PM to Dj_l3thal. he knows someone at tint-a-car in camberwell and i got mine tinted through him at a tint-a-car day good stuff... well wroth the $$$
  14. smoothline, when you say wrong you need proof othewise... ui like supras as i used to own an 87 one. the engine is STRONG and apparently bloody quick. i put my money on the supra as far as engine goes. but for the rest my money is on the 'line... AWD, lower weight... just my 2c
  15. good luck mate keep us posted...
  16. i like it how in the article doxximus scanned above, they refer to 10.8 as being the "slowest" in its class! nice choice of words... NOT maybe bottom of the list but nowhere near slow
  17. over 100 cars!! huh?
  18. there is a bloke who works at shell on melton hwy with a black r33. is he on here? btw i'm up for a mini meet if i have the day free on whenever you organise
  19. if you need anotehr sensor, i think there is a guy in the for sale section who is wrecking an rb20det so he might be looking to sell his 2 for cheap...
  20. dan, yeah immunology is my elective and they are really good electives if you are still deciding for next year... you must be spewing about genetics and microbiology this semester! bloody hard stuff...

  22. is the new skyline going to be sold in australia? i mean normal sky, not gtr...
  23. i have a 92 and it has blue dials and clear indicators and its a type M...
  24. matt, i had htis code flash up when i did an ECU diagnostics and the reason it comes up is that there is some sort of fault with the ECU getting readings from the knock sensor in my case one of the 2 knock sensor's was not plugged in! it could aslo be that the sensor if faulty or just screwed. it takes 2 minutes to check them: just stand over th battery looking towards the throttle body. If you hold a torch and look through the intake runners of cylinders 1 and 2 then you should see a little green sensor with a white plug plugged in. It is right under the intake plenum and attached to the block (may be hard to see). there is also another snesor between runners 5 and 6. have a look. in my case the plug's were hanging and not into the sensor... i had many of the symptoms you mention above of which most went away after i put the plug back in! cheers, Warren
  25. what condition are the coil packs in? are you willing to sell individually and if so how much? i might be interested just seeing if that's my missing problem at the moment...
