from memory the gearbox in the gtir is really bad and a major weak point in an otherwise great car if you put in a second hand gearbox you have to ask yourself - is this going to happen again? aftermarket box / rebuilt stock box could prove better in the long run. -
ss8_gohan, the placing of 2 coppers 50m apart is actually a good idea in my opinion: bloke sees cop and slows down. bloke passes and thinks 'i'm free - no cops for ages now'. bloke speeds up. bloke gets booked by next cop car.

mine has a tendancy to not come on when i start the car, btu give it 30seconds and it will appear and all the buttons / display works perfectly after that. this only happens occasionally. my theory is a loss of charge overnight and a bad solder joint rendering it incapable of getting enough current initially when i start. i dunno...

i had a wine red supra and i dind't like the colour my r32 is dark blue and i was wrapped to find the car in this colour. otherwise black or white is the go... gunmetal grey = shit silver = very common white = good bleek = good dark blue = great -

find yourself a happy medium where you are satisfied with the filtration. at the end of the day you don't want to compromise the life of the turbo and a little bit of extra flow will only yield 1/2 of a kW if you are lucky -

one thing i considered a major factor when deciding for my car is that he R33 is becoming the new commodore: everyone seems to have one - and that would really annoy me if i had one too. so i bought an R32 (plus it is easier to park, smaller, lighter, i think it loos better, and goes just as well) -
i don't mind an aftermarket front bar that looks GTR-ish if they just want a better look to the stock shit gtst bar. or upgrading to the aluminium bonnet is ok as well for obvious weight saving reasons ...but... badges/full kits should be collected and burnt in a gun by-back-sort-of-scheme...

there is an advantage of having A bov over having NO bov. but there really isn't much advantage of having an aftermarket one unless you are running 20+psi advantage: stop compressor surge...

i turn the ignition, go back into the house and get my bag and some sort of breakfast bar to eat in the car, then go that gives me about 2-4 mins of idiling before i get into drive and the engine is happy as larry! well sumamrised demon dave... can i stress the don't drive straight off after starting part! and from what i have read it makes perfect sense not to idle for 10min (that period of time is bloody stupid anyway!)

in reference to the thread question... how to read a stock boost gauge: 0 = 0psi +3.5 = 6.58psi +7 = 13.2psi to work out your value in psi: x = your value in mmHg from the gauge y = boost value in psi y = (x / 7.6) * 14.3 EDIT: to change this for bar conversion, just replace the 14.3 with 1 (or remove the "* 14.3" part...)

his nickanme is BATMBL and i highly reccommend him the dump pipe is the same for r32/r33 and i fitted one from him to my r32 and it was a big improvement. it comes with oxygen sensor mount and fits with no modifications needed.
