the verada 3.5 V6 isn't as bad as i think everyone believes. they are heaps quicker than an equivalent commonwhore. you have to remember that most magna/verada's are the 3.0 V6 version. its only the later models that are the 3.5L and they kill it off the line... and redlineGTR... stop whoring i just think what i would do if i had a spare couple of grand to put into the car... hmmmm...

what's my problem then? could it be too thick oil (i use 15w60)? is something stuffed do you think? any ideas... and i'm not talking about modding i mean what would bring the power back to what it should be

with such a fruitful new car market, i think its just the generally sh1tty used car market that doesn't sell cars.

yeah i wish it were manual ...but when i found the right car in the right condition i had no choice really oh well. just have to wait till i get a GTR to beat him!

soarer by a loooooooooong margin... a lot quicker than what its credited for. i drove one when i was looking at cars to get.

firstly... i want to apologise coz i didn't read this thread. secondly... this was at calder at the strip not on the roads ....yes that'll do thirdly... i didn't stall the auto coz i didn't have time before the lights changed but i would have still lost anyways. fourthly... and finally... my car is not completely stock. i have a cat-back, filter, and CAI. so that factors into the equation... After 100k the engine ain't making no where near the stock power outputs and with my mods i rekon it brings it back to almost on par. As for the verada with 20k on the clock it is pretty much making initial power and hasn;t lost power due to wear and tear. I'm thinking of getting that dump pipe from BATMBL does anyone think this will make any difference? cheers, Waz.

weigh... um me? i had a cricket bag in the boot but that doesn't weight all that much ...and i have a hi-flow panel filter (+ CAI) and cat-back exhaust as well. hmmmmm what's wrong? car drives very nicely with no problems. am i down on power? stock boost auge says i'm ok in that department

if you get an r31 then you have more to put towars the R34 for later...

Hi just a question... i just dragged my mate's 97 verada (auto, 3.5L V6, FWD) and to 100kmh got done by about 0.5 to 1 car length... and i wasn't catching up either is this normal??? my car is an auto and i didn't stall the gearbox but i got a goodish start i think... Waz.

idea: keep your car as you know its history etc. with 7k you could get a GTR engine and drop that in sell your GTST engine/parts and put the money from that back into the car that'll make for one fast car (...after the wheelspin !)

if u want to check the knock sensors (it may be wrong but its a 2 minute check and is really worth the small effort), then do this. Stand over the battery and look at the intake manifold. Get a torch or long flourescent light and place it between the battery and manifold and somehow get it to stay there. If you look between runners 1-2 and 4-5 of the intake manifold then you should see, in each, a small green plug with a white clip attached onto it. This is the knock sensor. in my case the white clip (and attached wire) were hanging there doing nothing. took 2 seconds to plug it back in. The green plug is about 1 inch long and is cylindrical... as i said it may be completely wrong but it only takes 2 minutes to have a look and see if they are plugged in... Waz.

for the same price (or just a little bit more) than a 95 gtst, you could get an r32 (1990ish) GTR...

you wouldn't happen to have cheap r32gtst side skirts as well would you? if not then its a free bump!

i don't know about the smoke symptom, but as far as the hesitation when cold i USED to have this problem. Q) How did i fix it? A) my one of my knock sensors was unplugged! how stupid... so i plugged it back in, reset the ECU, and problem solved... check your knock sensors or run an ECU diagnostics...

just a question... with all those mods doesn't it void the new car warranty??? i thought it did...

sticky tape won't hold sh1t. try arildyte (spelling?) the stuff where u mix 2 liquids together and it dries HARD in a fw minutes... sort of die hard 3 style where the bomb has 2 compartments that mix ...

ditto to cobo_11 my headlights stay on when the high-beams are on ????? maybe its like the tail lights where some people only have the outer 2 come on when they turn the headlights on, yet all 4 come on when they brake. yet, all 4 of mine come on when i turn the headlights on... hmmmm ?????

if the plastic piece is broken, you should just try to repair it somehow sounds easier (and cheaper) than buying a replacement. did u try glue?

everyone keeps talking about power/weight.... but these figures mean nothing if there is a 200nm torque difference don't forget that the r33 with same power/weight os s13 will have MROE torque. that means slower takeoff (more wiight) but quicker acceleration (torque+power) and by 100kph i would expect them to come out pretty much the same but why not just get an r32 and then your car weights the same as an s13 and you aren't disadvantaged by weight? plus the r32 looks better... sorry off the topic but did anyone read that article in 'HPI vol33' that says the mr2 is a better car than the s13 180sx? i was not happy with that review as it didn't really give the 180 a fair go!

did anyone cop a speeding fine? i would love to come and meet/cruze with you guys but 1) i don't speed for no reason, and 2) my car wouldn't keep up with all of yours...!
