i use penrite 15w60 i like the fact that it goes up to 60, as it revvvs lots and i like the fact that i am protected even at 7000rpm! and for coolants, make sure u use anti-freeze/anti-boil not just the normal stuff. this prevents corrosion as well as working well. 50:50 ratio works wonders...

3.0 TT + 1800kgs = very bad fuel economy ... for the same acceleration as an 89 R32 but to me looks are a big thing and if you like the look of the zx then i'd say go for it. my uncle has one and its porn! but be wary as a lot of ppl have them...

i did a diagnostic check the other week as well and got knock sensor code as well... i thought to myself ... hey what tool would be driving around with knock sensors unplugged...ha ha... but i decided to check also as that's what the ECU said OH MY GOD ONE WAS UNPLUGGED! i don't understand why this would not be plugged in and it is very unlikely that it had fallen out so i am confused but now it revs better past 5000rpm as luke said, and i have peace of mind!

scotty, not sure about the r33 as i don't have one! my switch is above the instrument cluster on the border that surrounds the cluster. it has the fuse located in the fuse area under the dash - look to see if u have a fuse for it and work back to see if there is a switch maybe Waz.

geordie, there has to be a supercharging-specialist shop somewhere near you. ask them for a ball-park figure... this should give u an idea of what to go for: turbo vs. supercharger personally i rekon if they cost the same, the supercharger would kick-sh1t all over an identical turbo setup with HEAPS of low down torque and max boost very early but then again that's just my 2c and what do i really know? i'm a biomedical scientist not a mechanic

is it stuck behind the plastic that surrounds the button? if so its only 6 or so screws that hold the centre dash in place, and u an take it off very easily in 10mins...

hippy, i suggest you wire the lights up to the fog light switch that is already there (well there is one opn the r32s anyway) as it has its own fuse and too much current will not be an issue if u wire it up to the parkers, it may (depending on the power rating of the globe) either blow the fuse or heat up the wires if it draws too much current simply mount the lights, run a wire from the plug to the light then from the light back to the plug btw... i just did this last weekend as i had no fog lights but a switch in the dash and plugs doing nothing in the engins bay! Waz.

can u put up the beanie design before you send it into the manufacturer?

hey i also showed up code 34: knock sensor... so this applies to me as well what does the knock sensor look like? i'm pretty sure i have no knock / pinging but it shows up knock sensor in the diagnostics i would have thought this means the sensor is stuffed rather than the engine is knocking... anyone know for sure?

does the bleed valve remove that 'taping off after 6000rpm' that i get currently?

i'm liking the turboxs one at the moment... anyone got one for sale?

run the positive wire from the battery down the opposite side of the car to the RCA leads from the head unit if u want to prevent engine noise through the system better do it now than have to fix it once its all finished!

anyone selling a bleed valve? or wanting to upgrade to an EBC and offloading a bleeder? plz let me know price and info on how it performs (ie spikes much? brings boost on earlier?) looking for something cheap... Waz.

ok i don't want to start a bleed valve vs. EBC debate here so take that elsewhere please for bleed valves: what brands are good - anyone reccommend any brands they have used? turbosmart, turboXS, any others? i'm looking at maybe getting one but don't wanna spend much (i'm a povo), but why i'm not sure is that according to my stock boost gauge i'm runnign about 10-11 psi and i wanna go to about 12 maybe but really just want to bring boost on earlier i also heard that with a bleed valve the trailing off of power after 6000rpm seems to go away any advice or thoughts for those who have one already? (yes, i know an EBC is more efective but i don't have $300+ to spend) Waz.
