  1. welcome to a twin plate.....!!!! i would suggest you remove it unless there is a reason for it being in there...IE power?? if it is a daily and can handle a single plate then do that as it will solve alot of hassles clutch shudder is normal with these are they are basically on/off (engaged or not) specially when you get close to the biting point
  2. could be a number of things.... TPS is certainly one it will be a process of ilimination on these things. Could be AFM also? Sticky throttle? start eliminating one by one and keep us informed so we can assist further
  3. i agree mostly but 2way mech will clunk aswell so it all depends on the how its been set up and the only way to know is take it out which im sure he doesnt want to do
  4. yep no hicas rear end...nothing to worry about there.. as for the clunking at full lock that is perfectly normal for an mechanical LSD or locker...sounds more like a LSD tho as a locker is alot harder to live with on the street. jack it up and spin the wheels is one way and the only way without taking the cover off or diff out
  5. +1 to the above sounds like you may have burnt the plates on the clutch but you will need to take the box out anyway and i would suggest replacing all fluid and you may have boiled it... giving the info you have provided its hard to say could be more issues with the box for all we know but it depends on what you mean by "ABIT OF ABUSE"
  6. sounds like it might be starting to act up..possibly need a rebuild... have you taken had it checked?
  7. this has been covered a million times on this forum try searching... try here as a starting point http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/55845-rb25-turbo-upgrade-all-dyno-results/
  8. any pics of the new boots?
  9. yeah im a little surprised but im guess spoke style and prob the inners are smaller than 16
  10. not at all and only if its more than 25mm
  11. brake clearance shouldnt be an issue.....pretty agressive wheels tho! pics when fitted
  12. clearly you have no idea what is good and bad when it comes to suspension/wheels but im not going to get into an E fight with you...FYI i bolded that section of your quoted text for a reason! let me know when you have some experience in suspension
  13. if the comressor wheel blew then replace pipewore/intercooler etc and replace turbo if the turbine wheel exploded then you should be ok to just replace the turbo caused by excessive boost on the ceramic wheel. they do not like much over 13psi or any heat at all but as stated above this has been answered to death on this forum
  14. this happens due to incorrect fitment of the fibreglass guards...Take it to someone that knows what they are doing
  15. this is bad advice! Not to mention these are illegal
  16. yeah im thinking the same as above because as far as im aware the mirrors should be the same for 2/4 door and they def do not fit
  17. car looks the goods! those side skirts are quite bit which dont help the equation here! as for coilovers how much do you want to spend? value for money go something like BC or HSD which you can pick up for around the $1100 mark new for a set
  18. you want to mount with self tapping screws and sikaflex it screws on the floor pan and on the wheel arch area aswell as the inside of the door well. sikaflex the whole thing specially where it goes over and up the rear fender
  19. so ill try answer quick here but there is plenty of information on the this forum all you need to do is a quick search 1. from what you are saying im assuming you only have a catback and have not changed the front pipes...This would be in order if you are going to change the turbos and i would suggest doing this all at once. 2. most pods are fine but do try and avoid the oil type pods and if you need to make an enclosure to keep most of the hot air away from them 3. there are endless options of ECU's available and not just those 3. I suggest you do some hard research and find the one that best suits your needs and what you will be doing with the car 4. as for the turbos again endless options are available but you will need supporting mods like the below. the ones you have mentioned vary in size depending on which one you go and will offcourse change the way they act on the car with how/when they come etc etc - fuel pump - injectors - zaust as previously mentioned as will be said in this thread a 1000 times start researching before you purchase anything and you will see much more clearly where and what you will need to get to where you want to be
  20. inside of the guards.....want to drop the offset to around +15 or slightly lower *EDIT* to fill the gards that is
