  1. ill be there tommorow
  2. Set it close to the middle of the holes. Best to set it with a timing light
  3. Harey its not that easy on the handcontroller. U cant use map tracer to watch the cells and monitor knock at the same time unless the engine light flashes on the dash.
  4. Try some skyline wreckers or just jap etc.
  5. Speedo sensor is near the tailshaft end on the drivers side of the gearbox/transmission. Disconnect and reconnect the plug for this, then in the engine bay near the fuse box there are some plugs near the radiator, disconnect and reconnect these. These plugs connect the speedo to the dash.
  6. Uh oh. I have a about 5 z32-r33 nistunes to do this month. U have me scared now. With my drift car ill be running a rb20 ecu with a msd or similar rpm window switch. Boys the prototype pu turbo will be going onto a customers R33. Very tidy car running power fc, 3inch etc. And a profec B i fitted to it last sunday. My r32 gtst with rb25 drift car is running a different turbo
  7. Check the fuses first. Then check the globes them selves. Then check the park light switch
  8. Oooh yeah. Just paid for the pu prototype. Excited to see how she goes. Will post up results when the cars been tuned.
  9. You hav to remove the cas to change the timing cover. So when u refit the cas it may be different. if he didnt check and note the base timing before removing the cas then how can he be 100% sure its the same
  10. Correct. Knock warning is factory 60. I normally set mine to 50. 89cal it might be that when u set ur cas back into place the base timing is now a little lower. Sarge i have seen knock spike during gearchanges. So keep and eye on it. We will do some logging on the road when u come up and watch for when and if it spikes. Ill put my kmon on and have a listen too
  11. ^^^ thats a big difference to ur 1st post. So it does it with the engine off meaning its either a wiring problem or the alternator has collapsed internally. Go see an auto elec
  12. Sorry dude. Without hearing it its hard to say
  13. Good luck getting a reply from them. There Shut down. Have u had u cruise tune checked? Try disabling the 02 feedback and see if it still happens
  14. Its a big end bearing knock. Start looking for a 2nd hand motor.
  15. Its weird that they are reading differently. Check the install and where they get there boost signals from. Most of mine i run the same line into the cabin then tee off for both the boost gauge and the profec b.
  16. It may possibly be the fuel cap insert fitted during compliance. It is fairly common for this to leak. Its the part that the fuel cap screws into. It needs to be pryed out, cleaned and resealed with gasket goo. Refit and try not to move it for 24hours or so to let the goo set properly
  17. When there is a leak in the cooling system there is no pressure or vacuum so the little tank doesnt go up or down, also when there is no water in the engines cooling system the gauge will basically read cold as there is no hot water on the sensor. Hopefully when u fix it will be ok otherwise it may need head service and gasket kit. Hard to tell over the net. Try and fill it up and get it running to see how it runs. Its a big job to replace the water pump and it woukd be disappointing to replace the pump and get it running only to find u have to pull the head back off
  18. Not the cap itself but the insert for compliance. Have a look where the cap screws into. That part is aftermarket and very common to leak. To fix u need to pry it out, clean it and reseal it with gasket goo
  19. Advice- find a mate with the same engine and try swapping simple parts such as afm then test, then cas and test etc
  20. It may be overcharging. Get a multimeter and check the battery volts when idling. Raise the rpm and check the battery volts. If there is any signs of an overcharging alternator it needs to be replaced
  21. Rb26 does not have lifters If the noise occurs around 2500rpm it will be a worn out big end bearing and unfortunately this means u need a rebuild or a 2nd hand motor. U could just get the crank tidied up and a new set of bearings but for the effort it takes to do that u may aswell rebuild or replace the motor
  22. Rather than reading the peak boost try reading the actual boost when its boosting. If u dont feel confident to do this get someone else to watch it while u drive
  23. ^^^ thats possible only if u cant drive through it at a lighter throttle than flat. Would be hard to test at 230kph.
  24. ^^^ lol. It would be set in the remap. But u said about the speed wire has been cut. Triple check it is the correct wire for ur car
  25. Go to repco or similar and buy a noid light. This little guy plugs into the injector plug(easily without removing the plenum an fuel rail) and when u crank the noid light should flash. If it doesnt then there is no injector pulse. Do some basics, check all fuses etc, then if possible borrow a mates CAS to try.
