  1. Haha yeh i noticed that. So is that run on stock boost? Did u try running a higher boost setting. Like 12 ? Check coolant temp sensor too. Its like its on cold start enrichment
  2. did you heck this on a dyno to see if it made an improvement? im puttin my car on the rollers tonight to see how my street tuning is going, ill try add some timing after MBT and will also richen it up slightly there too. ill post my results later
  3. what the main reason behind richening it up after what i assume is peak torque? im guessing just to cool it down a little? do you add more timing in during the enrichment after 6500RPM

  5. the discs are warped or the discs mounting surface has rust on it causing it to not seat perfectly flat , did you get a mechanic to replace the pads and machine the discs? take it back and ask them to check it for u. they shouldnt charge you anything if they were done recently. other than that if they were not bedded in correctly they might be glazed and warped from any hard braking you have done.

  9. depending on your driving style i would be checking the tune with a wideband, on a dyno its mostly on throttle then backing off, whereas on the road like climbing a hill boosting then backing off a little then accellerating, this will cause the BOV to release and change the mixtures, if it was a drag car i wouldnt be too worried as its flat out all the way only backing off for gear changes.
  10. its just a number anyway, if you get a tune and the car feels better, more improved and good fuel ecomomy then its a good tune
  11. exhaust temps are mainly used between individual cylinders to make sure that one or more cylinders arent running leaner than the others. a leaner cylinder will run hotter and if a hotter cylinder is found that cylinder can be richened up to match the rest.
  12. loving the truckers flexible pipe. have you tried making a heat shield for the wastegate, synapse recommend keeping that sort of heat away from the gate anyway so maybe you should get some xr6 turbo heat shielding and shield the gate and lines. can you run the lines down and either under the sump or around the back of the motor rather than up through the manifold?
  13. just plumb it back into the airbox if you have one, this should help muffle the noise a fair bit.
  14. Haha yeah its a little different to circuit thats for sure. What catch can and breather setup do u run. Do u have stock baffles in the cam covers?
  15. Agreed. Its just a waste of fuel. Heaps of fuel and heaps of ignition or less fuel and less ignition to give a similar result. Maybe the japs run absolutely stupid amounts of boost and they just dump heaps of fuel to suit.
  16. Wats ur issue. Is it filling catch can? Dropping pressure due to starvation?
  17. check that the crank angle sensor still has the key way in it and is lined up correctly, also when u pull it out to check it make sure the CAS shaft isnt broken, my old gtr did this too me when i rebuilt it, it happened because i didnt use the perfect sized spacers when running it without the top timing cover
  18. its a weird one, has it done it again since? might have just been a tempremental thing. if you cant get it to do it again dont worry too much.
  19. yes you will need to regap. no you will not be making much more power with the new really expensive plugs, yes you should just get some new BKR6ES copper plugs. why do you want the 5 heatrange?
  20. is the sound coming from inside the car or from the engine bay? can you see the engine shaking violently? have you checked the engine and gearbox mounts, does it do it with the clutch in?

  22. you are used to the stock GTsT whipper snipper BOV? GTR sounds nothing like it, you like the flutter or you want to stop it? there is a sound deadener/padding inside the airbox, check this is still there,
  23. rings and bearings might be cheap BUT machine work and headgasket etc adds up really quickly.
  24. Have u checked the stock rubber intakes? They might be sucking in. Check the Metal coil inside is still located correctly.
  25. 10500 rpm, craazy, hope your oil pump and bottom end will hold up
