  7. that reads it and its B'tooth! as does this (not the best image of it but it will do.) the top one is a LOT cheaper than the main X431. and if you keep it updated does 99% of what a C3 does for the diagun loaded its $3600ish with a few manu's missing.
  8. that one came from a palce in stafford. plenty of them there.

  12. for those with a bit of electronics behind them and want to MANUALLY put the screen UP/DOWN do this. pull the screen out from the dash. pull the top off where the plugs go in locate this IC (see attachment) tack 2 wires onto these locations: M+ (screen UP) M- (Screen DOWN) these are located JUST below the Vref pin. grounding either of them will result in the screen moving the desired direction and stopping on its limits. getting video into a defunct screen ( you still need the navi for the data feed) locate TV + / TV - on the board and feed a composite NTSC signal into it and USE THIS CIRCUIT to get sync power it accordingly (suggest +9v as there is a supply there for that.) enjoy dont ask for help - if you do not understand what I posted DO NOT ATTEMPT IT!

  16. jon, if you have the car for a bit we can tie a tool to it and watch the engine do its thing.
  17. the car wont recognise it... SPAL do a kit as well. I have a listing for it somewhere.
  18. nah - another car. (think laterally.)
  19. thing being that car gets its speed signal off the ABS system so its not that easy to modify.

  22. ta! I clipped that out and stuck it in my notes.
  23. old trick I use VP commodore Calais - grab the unit out of that (high in the passenger kick above the ECU) and use that to set height. works on a centre off return rocker switch and you can set it to what ever height you wish. use a semi auto antenna when you do.
  24. fair point. I'm not up to speed on recal'ing ECUs I use it to work out why lights are on but thats it.
