parking was easy. (I was near the spud van.) the S15 that was 2" off the ground has issues. I'm sunburnt and sore but I do have piccies. someone is proud of their product. they are not that expensive. last one I bought new was $350 locally. nidn you since its tore down I would also do the regulator as well. saves tearing it down again. the reg is the worst part of it. give me a chassis number to work with and I'll pull a part number for you. there is a revison on that motor as well. looks like they fixed what broke in them.

I'm 37 I remember both shows. reason I asked - if he's mechanical enough to pull the door down then he can change the motor himself. its mainly 10mm bolts (lots of them) that have to be removed. failing that - take it to nissan and let them do it. the motor is a Z33 item and door (although SLIGHTLY different shape) is a Z33 as well. expect a $500 bill (inc motor) for that. to tear one down and reassemble is 1.5 hrs roughly. (thats what it takes me.)

processor swapped out - 100pin ASIC = absolute PAIN IN THE ARSE to remove. putting it back on - easy. no tuner yet (still waiting) so I can't fire the unit up without it having a heart attack.

VIN will do. take a photo of your drivers strut tower. the build plate is there and it will give me all I need. $900 would cover the bits to make all of this work. you are not in brissy are you? (I travel but only if I haev 3-4 things to do in a city.) cost could well change based on the spec of your car (could be lower.)

have a crack. make sure you have at least a 40 Meg scope sitting beside you. I would still make use of your friend google for what video looks like. some of the stuff back there will look a LOT like sync signals and its NOT.

I'm up to something - I need the diagonal measurement of the factory screen in a 2005+ car. *IF* I can find a decent overlay I'm going to fiddle a bit.

useful for this discussion. most of the Xenavi stuff runs active high CSYNC. there are variants that have H&V separate. then there are ones that bury it in a color jut for the hell of it. mitsi is good at this. KV2, electronics degree helps me. I have been dabbling in electronics since age 11. (I'm 38.) theres not a lot I will not attempt to crack/modify.

controls are CRAP! for similar money (parts only) you cn do it oem. up to you but OEM is a better option to me.
